Bought nearly all of my plumbing fixtures for my recent remodel here. Eddie was very helpful and didn't seem to get impatient with my inability to make a decision. He included all the items I looked at in the quote which made it easier when I made my final selections. With the exception of the bathroom and kitchen sinks' faucets, Rubenstein's prices were all lower than large online sites and big box retailers. The showroom is a bit cramped and it was hard to maneuver, definitely not a place to meander! It was difficult to get someone on the phone and they were a bit slow to answer emails. In fairness, we were in lockdown during the pandemic so I'm sure staffing was challenging. All in all, they had a great selection of products and personable and knowledgeable sales personnel and I'm a satisfied customer. If you're not familiar with the area, it's a bit of a challenge to find this place, even with navigation. I ended up at the wrong place but on the right street so I parked in some random parking lot and walked. Luckily an SJPD officer was in his car and was able to help me find the showroom. read more

Insisted that it was 10% when I have been working with the group for a couple of months now and know that their discount is more. Refused to acknowledge that she was incorrect then claimed that she was very new at the company even though she's been answering phones for quite some time there. I mean they carry some gorgeous pieces. Stunning. They have a wealth of brands, and price points; and their salespeople are friendly and knowledgeable. I worked with Bryan who helped me with several items for a bathroom, as well as a kitchen faucet suite. He was a wealth of information, and was friendly and helpful each time I came in, emailed, or telephoned. After I placed my order, he was still prompt to reply to any questions I had, and kept me informed on my order. He even went so far to return a call on his day off! His day off!!! That's pretty unheard of in retail. Talk about service! Even when I had an issue with an order, he was quick to rectify the problem. Even in observing other salespeople, Rubinstein's grants superb customer service all around. Our most recent interaction involved Robert Marsh, who was tasked with ordering drain baskets and hooks for three showers. Robert was very patient and diligent throughout the process. when we did not get the second shipment, Robert figured out that it was mistakenly delivered to the wrong address and not returned, Robert promptly reordered the items and ensured they reached us. Heath, manager at Rubenstein, was most helpful to me in finding the right toilet to replace my old Case 3200 model from 1972. I tried several other sources and had no good luck. Several plumbers did not show much interest in helping me when they heard that it is a wall mounted toilet in a residential home. Also I was pleasantly surprised to see that Rubenstein sold to be as a retail customer/user since they advertise as a wholesaler who sells to plumbers. Heath also provided the names of two plumbers who have done business with Rubenstein for more than 10 years. I contacted the first on the list and found a potential plumber for life! I will write that review up separately. Although I have never met Heath, nor been to Rubenstein, I may make a side trip to visit them in the future to expression my appreciation for their assistance in finding the perfect toilet, lol! We felt lucky to work with Gib Smart, although he kept telling us that he is part of a team, and that his attitude merely reflects the culture of the store. The store had a huge selection of fixtures, tubs, toilets, and their pricing was extremely competitive. I was pleasantly surprised by Gib's approach. I felt like I was talking with a knowledgeable friend whose goal was to help us. I hate shopping, especially for tubes and pipes, but Gib made the experience enjoyable. We never felt pressured to buy. Gib made sure to understand our needs, our budget and even our esthetics, and then made great recommendations, giving us several choices. We had a really great experience with this place. This is a really great place for fixtures, they have a huge selection. We were also very impressed with the customer service! They are so knowledgeable about the products and helpful. We did a remodel for our master bath, and purchased our fixtures and linear drain for our shower from Rubenstein. Everyone here was friendly and gave great customer service, including the Heath the store manager. Even the first couple of times we came in just to look around, they still took quite a bit of time to help us and answer any questions. Eddie was the one who helped us when we came back to make the purchase and he was just as knowledgeable and helpful as everyone else. I am so grateful for Heath! I stopped by on an errand to pick up a couple replacement parts for our toilets. It should be mentioned that I am absolutely useless when it comes to all things handyman related so I was given a post it with exactly what I was to ask for. After getting myself lost just trying to find the showroom I was flustered and frustrated. I was brought in without an appointment and Heath came out to help me. Not only did he interpret what I was trying to ask for, he figured out what I needed was one of two products. He sent me home with those to figure out which one I actually needed and he had me take a picture of our toilet so he can find the correct replacement for the other part. The very next day he had figured out that the part we needed was discontinued but he gave us the option of purchasing the replacement for that whole section, although he advised that he didn't think we actually needed to do so. We decided not to replace that part but I went back in to return the supply line that we didn't use and purchase the second unit of the supply line we did. Heath had me set to go in about 5 minutes flat. It's rare to find someone who has such amazing customer service and is willing to go the extra mile and then some to help a person out. I was so very lost and at no point was I made to feel like I was putting anyone out with my lack of knowledge. Thank you guys so much!! read more

Ordered sinks, faucets and towel bars from Rubenstein. All were back ordered and all came in at different times. When we had our showroom appointment (there are NO walk-ins), we were told a week and a half to two weeks. It was a lot longer than that and no one updated us. They WILL NOT contact you when your order is in, you have to call them, even if your order comes in partial shipments. It's like a lot of other places these days, once they have your money, you're on your own. read more

Decent prices, great customer service once you get a person to work with you (they can get busy and seem to wait to be approached rather then bother the shoppers) I worked with Brian and he has been extremely helpful. I have had a few issues with my countertops being drilled without my knowledge and needing to change the styles of faucet lay out from mini widespread to widespread and he was able to get me a replacement quickly, as well as help me find replacement handles for a base cabinet that didn't clash with the esthetic and fit the existing holes that where again installed without my consent. We also discovered a missing item in my Roman tub kit that was ordered and Brian got a message to the vendor rep almost immediately and has gotten it shipped express directly to my house. Their excellent customer service and knowledge of access to their supply chain to help me chose the most appropriate product has helped me immensely during my problematic remodel. *I accidentally posted this same review on their wholesale yelp first....
