He is the worst dentist ever. He ripped off my twin sister and I of our dental insurance. He pulled seven top teeth and he was not able to get her a new bridge that fit her. I needed a bridge and he did something to my back tooth and now I can't afford to get my teeth fixed. We can't get our X-rays at another dentist. We are disabled senior barely getting by financially anymore. He should be shut down for good. He should lose his license and retire for good. read more

The office staff is pleasant and helpful. Getting an appointment was easy. The hygienist is patient and gentle. I love this place!!!

DO NOT GO TO THIS "DENTIST" unless you want shoddy, half-a**ed work that you will have to pay thousands of dollars for repairs on because his work is so terrible that it has to be redone by somebody else. I spent over $1500 on 2 veneers and every. single. dentist & hygienist that I've seen since has asked "Who did your veneers?!" because they are so terrible. My most recent hygienist said he should've known better and that she hasn't seen work this bad in awhile. Because he did such a sham job, one of my veneers fell off 9 months later WHILE I WAS FLOSSING. And my hygienist has warned me not to continue flossing between them. She was scared that during my last cleaning she could've accidentally popped off the other one so she had to skip that area. Without proper flossing and cleaning, an array of health problems could occur as a result. So now I have to get invisalign to shift my teeth (which is what he should've suggested in the first place) and will have to spend another $1,500+ on redoing my veneers that should've been done correctly in the first place. So much of my time and money has been wasted I am simply appalled. Do yourself a solid and stay far far away from this practice and this conman. read more

This was my first ( and last ) visit to Dr. Kalman's office. Where to even begin..Upon arriving for my "scheduled" and then "re-scheduled" appointment ... by Dr. Kelman himself, the receptionist seemed immediately agitated after I introduced myself, that I had arrived 30 minutes later than what appeared to be a time she was looking at on her computer. When I explained it was changed by Dr. Kelman himself (calling me directly) to change it , she replied " I guess I'm always the last to know these things ....I guess"... insinuating that I had changed the appointment somehow and didn't tell her......All the while seeming "put off" and quite frankly, a little miserable in her demeanor.... mumbling under her breath. I know you all know what that looks and sounds like. I know....ugh. I sat, and waited 35 minutes to be called I, for an appointment mind you, that I made for a very specific procedure with Dr. Kelman as I spoke directly with HIM in making the appointment. So, that would lead one to believe that after you made an appointment and fully explained why ( specifically ) why you were being to referred by another dentist for that procedure and needed another dentist AND that you expressed all of this to Dr. Kelman himself in making the actual appointment BEFORE,.... you were good to go for that appointment and those procedures. Well....NOT THE CASE. Once I was in the chair in this office the assistant asked about my pain, I told her I spoke with Dr. Kelman directly about the procedure that I was there for. She looked at me very strange and left the room. Dr. Kelman entered not 2 minutes later acting very confused (not sure if that's his advanced age... not sure ) flustered and RUDE immediately upon entering, speaking from behind me the entire time on a stool, literally all the way behind me, in a demeaning tone and never stepping in front of me to greet me, introduce himself or welcome me. He abruptly conveyed that he "DID NOT do that service" and that I misunderstood him and what I was there for. I was immediately shocked by his greeting and immediate nasty and disgruntled attitude. I explained I indeed did not "misunderstand "and referenced our entire phone conversation and my sole purpose of coming to his specific office. Dr. Kelman continued, even in a more belligerent tone the same as line as he did before and kept reiterating that I made the error, making me feel entirely uneasy, stressed, awkward and extremely uneasy ( as if I wasn't already going in for that kind of painful procedure that no one enjoys) with his qualifications, bedside manner and basic abilities to perform any type of procedure on me going forward....and quickly realized I would never want this man any wear near me doing any type of medical procedure...ever! His behavior was COMPLTELY the CONTRARY to what any GOOD, CARING and COMPETENT dentist would do. All Dr. Kelman had to do was simply speak to men normal ...IN FRONT OF ME, not behind me like some scared coward, and explain there was a miscommunication, apologize and see where we could go from there. A SIMPLE conversation....that's all. But obviously simple and normal is not how Dr. Kelman operates as SOP. I proceeded to tell him at that point " I would not require any of his services" and attempted to get out of the chair. It was at that same point... and I am assuming he was a little miffed that a lowly patient was refusing his precious services that he aggressively reached across my neck as I was getting up and attempted to actually rip the dental clip and bib from my neck. I pulled away very quickly in astonishment and removed it myself, looked at him with distain and quickly left the room and that office... for good. I write this all out because of the horrific and unprofessional behavior exhibited in that office and by specifically Dr. Kelman and staff. PLEASE, if you read this, KEEP looking for another dentist. Ironically, as I read some of the other reviews, I don't seem to be the only one.... "Yelling at babies for crying and patients" .... Enough said. It looks Dr. Kelman seems to have lost something, or quite frankly, never had the key and basic components and qualities that make up a good caring dental practitioner....compassion, empathy, pertinence and kindness, all of which, Dr. Kelman sorely lacks. Maybe it's' time for Dr. Kelman to retire and leave the act of practicing the act of "professional dentistry" to exactly that.....professionals. Good luck! I hope this helps. read more

I've been seeing Dr Kelman for over 2 years. I found him very pleasant to work with. His prices are reasonable and his services are top notch. He was very thorough explaining what I needed to get done. He helped me prioritize the most important work. He was very honest about work that I could wait on or not do even though it was money he would not get from me. I've had fillings, extractions, and crowns put in. Never a problem and always pleasant to deal with. I also found the staff very accomodating and quick to return my phone calls. I don't like going to the dentist...and didn't for many years, but I am quite comfortable with Dr Kelman and see him on a regular basis. Definitely the best dental experience I've had. read more

Just found out from a new dentist that I have an infection under the root canal this "dentist" performed. I will now lose this tooth completely. So I paid this man, (won't ever call him a dentist again) over a thousand dollars and insurance money for an infection and the loss of a tooth. I think I'm going to stay outside his office to warn people to stay away. read more

A year ago, I went in for a bonding for my left front tooth which chipped. I went in, the dentist got it done with not much trouble, I was pleased with the results. A week later, the bonding came off. I go back in, they fixed it but wanted to do a deep cleaning first. I got both the bonding and the deep cleaning done. Fast forward to today, the bonding came off and I made an appointment to get it fixed. Right away, something seemed fishy because the receptionist on the phone was insistent that a filling was done a year ago and not a bonding. So I walked into the office and they told me that another bonding was not going to work and that it'll come off again. I could understand where they were coming from because the gap on my tooth was so small. So they present the option of a veneer, which they basically take a molding of your tooth and use that to fix the gap in your tooth instead. I decided not to do it because I'd have to pay close to 1k to get it done even though they said I could pay it over the course of 12 months. At this point I mentioned that I might be getting dental insurance next year and they were insistent that it would not cover the procedure because it's cosmetic. I thought it was weird they would know despite the fact that I don't even know what insurance I'm getting yet. Then there was some miscommunication between the nurse and the dentist. The dentist comes into the room and sits me back ready to start the procedure and I told him to stop. So at this point, I started walking out of the office without anything done because they believed the bonding wouldn't help. Despite all these issues and inconsistencies, I was ready to walk out and think out my options, possibly to even come back and get it done here. Then at the last minute, they wanted 75 dollars for the visit, a visit where nothing was done, for a faulty bonding job that had come off that THEY'RE responsible for. As soon as I started to complain, they start accusing me how I was given both options of the bonding or the veneer A YEAR AGO. The receptionist shows her "notes" to me on how she wrote this a year ago. This, after she was insistent on the phone that a filling was done and not a bonding. Also keep in mind that the first time the bonding broke, the dentist was in shock that it came out at all. Now they're doing a 180 saying they knew it'd come off and that it's my fault for not choosing the veneer in the first place. Would I seriously have spent close to 400 dollars for a bonding I knew that would come off? Also, anywhere you read online, a bond is supposed to last AT LEAST several years. Ultimately, they just seemed shady overall. They were insistent on making my decisions for me instead of being informative, and much of what they said was either incorrect or inconsistent. I genuinely felt like they were lying to me just to get my money. If I decide on fixing this tooth, I can assure you I will not be coming back here to get it done. read more
