There is a supervisor in the billing department by the name of Elizabeth. She is extremely rude and condescending. This person is lacking managerial skills and the aptitude to resolve a situation in a proper manner that addresses the problem and bring about resolution. Her attitude is dismissive and outride rude. I wanted to move PCP for my and the rest of the family here at the Kelsey-Seybold clinic here at the Richmond area due to nearer location to my house. usually with my insurance we do. it pay company with annual like extra clinic payment aside from the visit pay of 35 dollars and with blood work as well. it is a different story when it is a sick visit with tests but not with visit payment. I kept receiving a message that I have to pay $308 dollars for the visit. I called their billing and I was told that the insurance I provided when I made was not loading and this time that I called is loading now. I was told the right amount but if there are test then I have to pay more. I explained to her this is annul check and under preventive and ever since with Cigna. if it annual I do not have to pay extra. all I hear from the billing lady is a sarcastic smirk of a laugh. I am not dealing with this kind of treatment. So we are not moving services and I am glad in a way I am treated this way before we completely moved PCP. read more

All Kelsey clinics are very proficient. I have no complaints about any treatments or ability to get an appointment convenient to my schedule. However, the billing department has some issues. I've received several bills for full payment because my bill was either not presented to my insurance or there was issues with how it was presented to my insurance. Each time, my outstanding bill sat unpaid for several months. I always immediately message them that I dispute the bill. It takes months for them to review the bill. This is unacceptable because it could affect my credit and my ability to seek treatment at Kelsey. It seems the billing department is not proficient in working with health insurance. read more

Chronic condition care is very minimal. They never check diabetic people to see if their extremities are not infected or gangrenous. Not once. All they do is send prescriptions to the pharmacy. Their physical exams are just a consultation with a minimal blood / urine exam and absolutely no physical evaluations of pain and fun tion. Zero touch. And they are costly. So your insurance won't let you redo it till a year later. read more

I come here for the convenient locations and was looking for a new pcp and obgyn. My doctor was very nice and wanted me to choose all the doctors within Kelsey seybold so all my record would be in the same place. I thought it was a great idea until I have to get surgery and they had me go see several different doctors to see if I'm a good candidate for the surgery. Each time it was like a 5 minute visit looking through my chart and telling me I'm good to go. Then they charge hundreds of dollars to my insurance and I get a bill later. On top of that, I am never able to see the same pcp since she doesn't have any openings so I ended up seeing other doctors or I just don't go at all. read more

They are great if you don't start having serious symptoms. I went to a colonoscopy doctor because I thought I had hemorrhoids. She wouldn't even look; I had to ask her to look. She said oh it looks like an anal fissure. Still having issues. She said for me to contact my PCP, but they refer me back to a colonoscopy doctor. I switched over to methodist. I've been a Kelsey Advantage customer for 11 years. The company has grown much in that time period. My care has been exceptional with just a few hiccups. It's a one stop clinic in many of their system clinics. I like that part of it. Blood, xrays etc in one place. The doctors in a whole are very good to exceptional. a few are vested in my health. I'm still here so that says volumes. Why go anywhere else? Can't imagine going to another plan or clinics. I recommend Kelsey to everybody I know. I consider myself to be a frequent flyer for health care. I've read a few negative reviews and considering the number of picky people in the world I can understand. read more

I Like their Medical side but their billing has left me enraged and punching walls. They almost never billed me at time of service and sent no bills (not all visits require co-pay). Then, the next time I was there they looked at me like a freeloader deadbeat and told me that I owed money and I am late and in danger of collections with the added implication that I may not be allowed see the doctor until paid up. Last week I was there and the front desk employee said that I had a $35 copay for the doctor visit. I told her to send me the bill for it. Yesterday I had a message from Kelsey saying that I have to pay $450 . I called them and they said that my insurance company (BCBS) denied to pay it. I called the insurance and the insurance agent made a conference call with me and Kelsey and he realized that was Kelsey's mistake for coding it wrong. They don't even apologized for that. On my visit last week I asked the doctor to schedule me a colonoscopy since I am over 55 years old.He said he would do that. Today Kelsey called me and after 10 minutes on the phone asking for name,birthday,address etc the lady said that I have to go and see another doctor before I schedule the colonoscopy!!!!!! I said why????just for collecting another copay for doctor visit? She said that how Kelsey proceds. So finally my opinion is that Kelsey is not a healthcare place,but a dirty business. read more

Stay away from this clinic. I should have checked their Yelp before I let my father come here for couple of times. My dad was sent home from work due to his gout but he couldn't find any clinic that he could come and see same day for checkup, but this clinic. First bloodwork, Dr Teng said he's got gout and Kidney Disease. His potassium was high and advised him to stop taking Losartan for his hypertension. 2nd bloodwork, the results are the same.potassium is still the same, why?? Because she didn't even bother to prescribed him medication to lower this. 3rd bloodwork, still same results, my dad is getting frustrated as he's been missing work every 2 weeks to get his blood work and nothing is ever get done.they told him he can see nutritionist and he can walk-in, he did, he was told "who told you" then scheduled him in person for September. Mind you-this was in June. Are you saying my dad needs to diet but he cannot see nutritionist by September???i asked if they can prescribed him med to lower the potassium and they said Dr Teng wanted to know what causes him to have high potassium, and I said "you don't consider high potassium a urgent thing?" so I went ahead and find clinic that can actually take care of my dad's potassium level since, and when we did, this clinic had the audacity to tell us, they will now prescribed him medication for the potassium, after we decided to change provider. If you need a podiatrist they only have 2 so you may have to wait 3 months. If you need a retina specialist you have to wait 4 weeks. It doesn't matter how serious the problem is. They send you to the emergency room and then they still don't have time to see you for after care. You cannot complain to anyone there because there is no one to complain to. They do not care. They do the minimum required and go home. They have the most unhappy doctors. They told me that they are required to see a patient every 15 minutes whether they are diagnosed or not. They do not have any control over the staff so they can do as they please. This is healthcare at its poorest. This is what happens with a HMO! read more

I have been a patient of Kelsey Seybold since my teens. I am 55 this year. I feel I have seen many changes evolve over the decades. It saddens me that most of my doctors that I have come to trust and know all my medical challenges are leaving in droves. This is ALARMING. Ever since Kelsey was bought from one of the largest health insurance KS has gone down hill with the excellence and quality of care. Never ever have I had to wait 3-6 months to see my specialist. When I tried to go to see an outside specialist who could see me in a week, Kelsey Seybold DENIED the referral because they had those specialists in house. However, I did not have access to these specialists for months due to shortages of these types of doctors. It's maddening. If you have Blue Cross Blue Shield and chose your PCP from Kelsey, you will be denied any referral for a specialist outside KS IF they say they have one on paper. Now I found out that my pain management doctor is leaving after decades working at KS. This is NOT the KS I grew up in, had my children through KS, raised my own kids through KS. I was hoping I could stay now through my golden years. Relationships and TRUST are IMPORTANT! I have two doctors left who I adore at KS but if my overall medical needs aren't being met, it might be time to establish a new medical facility who puts their patients needs first. "Do no harm" can you truly say you are following this KS? read more

Awful staff. Every time we visit here we have to argue with the staff to send the bill rather than charging up front. On our insurance card it clearly states to not collect anything upfront and always send bill. They always try to charge twice as much up front compare to how much we have to pay if we get the bill after the insurance claim. And I have never received a dime in refund when they charged more upfront. We have always been up to date on our payments and paid the bills as soon as we received them in past. My wife who is pregnant was refused service because she refused to pay upfront and asked them to send the bill, as that is what is stated on our Cigna insurance card. The doctors are good but the management and policies of this clinic are out of this world. We will switch to some other clinic that at least have some common sense. read more

OMG! Please for the love of God , do NOT GO HERE (or any other Kelsey Clinic) !!. They will rip your insurance company and your pocket book out of $ and billings dept. will not care or blink an eye and they will give you attitude. To make the long story short, I have an excellent insurance BCBSTX PPO to be exact. I went for a general visit because I sometimes get ear wax in my ear and want the doctor extract it if necessary. She looked inside my ear and said i have minimal wax.. ok --so I should only pay a copay for the visit. Then Dr Teng did NOTHING but tell the nurse to spray WATER in my ear so that a little wax can fall out. $445 dollars later -that's what they billed my insurance $392 for the "visit" and $52 for the "SURGERY". WOW this is my EOB -how can you (as a medical facility and medical billing) code "spraying WATER in my one ear done by a NURSE not even the dr. herself as "SURGERY" . $445 for talking to me for 5 minutes and having a nurse spray water in my ear! WOW oh wow.. I'm speechless after receiving the EOB. and not only that, I"m now out the deductible on this "SURGERY". What a scam to bill the insurance company out of $445 .. like how can you live with yourself at night? This is why we are paying plenty to our premiums.. thanks to scams like this. I have often had to correct medical billing people on incorrect coding with plenty of success here.. they don't care. DON'T even try to call Kelsey's billing office, from the rep to their supervisor, they don't care. They think it's justified no matter what you say. THIS is the very reason our insurance industry is overpricing people like you and I for premiums to keep up with outrageous, and unjustified charges by medical facilities. It would have been nothing to argue about had I really had "SURGERY" or if even the Dr. Performed the water squirting in my ear.. but NOPE.. let your nurse spray water in my ear and bill it at $445 and call it a day. WOW. Next time, as I've done before gone to a CVS or Walgreens clinic where they also performed the same wax removal at 100% coverage and billed at a decent $ to the insurance. My gripe is that they coded this as "SURGERY" so now I'm outraged that I"m now out on my deductible that insurance won't rightfully pick up. I'm left with this "SURGERY" charge and JUST DISGUSTED with kesley and especially their billings personnel. If you don't believe me.. google their billing dept 2 stars and just look at yelp ratings.. I had xrays and etc with an orthopedic doctor and I was referred to a chiropractic and a physical therapist to get more money. I advised the doctor of a situation and he told I should probably a primary care. I saw the worse primary care doctor ever today in my opinion, H KRISHNA SUSARLA he was dismissive unhelpful and after billing my insurance another $270, he did absolutely nothing to help with my pain. I was advised because of my age there is medicine to help strengthen bones that may aliviate my lower back pain. I dont want pain medicine but medicine to fix my condition. He didn't know anything about this nor did he want to discuss it. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone or Kelsey. When I did NOT agree what he was saying (I know my body and what Im dealing with) he became dismissive and agitated. I left with a $270 bill and in the same condition. read more

She addressed my concerns promptly and made me feel like she was truly listening and cared. This place is like visiting a clinic in a third world country. You have to wait in line when you first check in, then wait to see the doctor which sometimes could be a very long period of time. If the doctor ask you o do any kind of testing, you have to wait in line again so they can schedule for the test. The clinic is so depressing and you can tell than no one care over there, it is like in mass production facility. My family have used this facility for couple of years and visited couple of doctors in that tacitly, a pediatrician and a family doctor. I was not impressed with neither of them. I was never impressed with their billing department either, they are very rude and impolite. While waiting for our appointment I remembered Kelsey_Seybold advertisement on AM radio regarding their " Executive health Program" which is tailored for executives where they provide them with a chef to cook their meal while they spend part of the day doing their annual check up. It is unbelievable how they suck up to executive and treat other patients like cock roaches. I will never do business with Kesley anymore, there is no reason to visit them when there are much better doctors in Houston. read more

I am extremely dissatisfied with the services, empathy/compassion for their patients offered at the clinic in Cinco Ranch for several reasons. The first visit with my doctor was as you would expect; great. They made sure to put on their pretty smiles and fake upbeat voice in order to introduce me to their clinic; which I fell for. We went over my medications and my doctor was all but joyful to say there wouldn't be any issues continuing my medications as they are. He asked me if there was anything I needed refilled and then sent me on my way. After I ran out of my injectable prescription for my debilitating migraines that I was given by my doctor in California I called my new doctor at the Cinco Ranch Kelsey-Seybold Clinic to refill that prescription. I requested that they send my prescription to the CVS local to me like I am use to. I was then suddenly informed that they have a "policy" regarding injectable prescriptions and required I schedule an office visit in order to get my injection. This was never discussed during my initial contact with my doctor when I showed him and went over my medications. Had this been told to me during that visit I would have sought out a different clinic immediately especially since my symptoms flare up when flying and therefor the need for an injection I can do myself is required. During my phone call to Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in Cinco Ranch to get this sorted out I spoke with the advice nurse who then had me speak with my doctors nurse assistant and then lastly I spoke with my doctor himself. I explained that I was in no safe condition to drive myself to their clinic in order to get an injection. I was cut off several times during my explanation which he expressed in little to no words that he doesn't care. I continued to try and explained that I have always given myself my migraine injections and that during my initial clinical visit nothing was mentioned or suggested that this would be an issue. None of the staff during any part of my conversation with them showed a single ounce of compassion or empathy for my situation. My doctor left it as "well this is your only option so figure it out". Needless to say I had to pay a taxi to bring me to the clinic, pay for my injection and pay for my office visit just so I could function all the while missing a full day of work which could have been easily avoided had I been told about their "policy" during my initial exam. This isn't the only issue I have had since becoming a patient to this office. My doctor now refuses to fill out FMLA paperwork regarding my disease in order for me to get approved intermittent time off from work when my condition flares up. He states that I need to yet again see him which means more money out of my pocket for another office visit just so he can pad his pockets with more of my cash. Normally I would suck it up and pay the "good doctor" off but I can't get the approved time off to see him without the paper work therefor its a catch-22 basically screwing me either way I look at it. So if you are looking for a compassionate group of doctors and nurses I strongly urge you to look elsewhere. You will find no empathy, help or honesty from these folks at Kelsey-Seybold at the Cinco Ranch clinic. Its their way or no way. read more

This Kelsey Seybold clinic, tucked off of Mason and Kingsland, is where I call my PCP home. I have tried out just about all of the doctors here (no really..) in the past five years.. I am one of those irritating patietns that tends to call for an appointment and then take the first one that is available, regardless if they are my favorite or not. I mean who cares, just make me feel better. My two favorites are Dr. Christi and Dr. Alachyi, two wonderful women that honestly take the time to listen to you and figure out what is wrong. I went here on Wednesday for a bad cough and Dr. Alachyi fixed me right up with four different meds and within a day I am feeling brand new-- goodbye sinus infection and lung infection!! (when I get sick, I do it right..) The wait time is pretty good, seperate pedi and sick adult waiting rooms, tv and good magazines, and I have never had a problem getting in the day of (although, as I said, I am not picky as to who sees me.) Bonus: there is a fabulous pharmacy inside and they usually get the meds ready quicker than your local CVS/Walgreens, great drink and candy selections too. The pharmacist works hard to get you the best deals on meds that your insurance may not cover and to teach you how to use the medicine safely (ie. she always lets me know if it is going to make me super tired, even if it doesn't say so on the side.). This clinic is a hit or miss. I've had some good experiences, but mostly ok, mediocre or bad. My most recent experience, within this past week upset me. I called on a Wednesday morning because I had been running fever, achy, feeling run down and the worst part was that my throat has felt that I had swallowed a bunch of razor blades. I even looked at my throat in the mirror and saw red spots all over, I had all the signs of strep throat. I arrived for my appointment at the required "15 minutes before your scheduled appointment". I was called back about 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. I already felt horrible and uncomfortable and was probably infecting everyone in the waiting room. I finally was taken back, vitals were taken and then I waited for the doctor. The doctor came in the room, asked me for all my complaints, checked my red and swollen spotty throat (that she confirmed), my clogged ears (confirmed), my eyes and nose, heart and so on. She stated that I had all the signs and symptoms of strep throat. She then did the dreaded throat swab for strep and nose swab for the flu. I was then asked to have a seat in the waiting room to wait another 20 minutes for the results. I went and sat and waited again. I was called back again for my results which were negative. She said that these were only preliminary tests and full tests would take up to 72 hours. She prescribed nausea medication and instructed I take OTC cold meds and Motrin for fever and pain and if I began to feel worse to call back and they could prescribe something. I was feeling weaker and miserable I just wanted to get out of there so I left. When I got home, I began to feel worse. I called the clinic and demanded they prescribe an antibiotic. A coworker of mine was experiencing the same symptoms and is now on antibiotics. A prescription was then called in. Fast forward to the following MONDAY (the day after I completed the antibiotics), I receive a notification that my strep test is positive. Well...duh! The notice online also stated that a prescription was sent to the pharmacy. Then TUESDAY, I get a call from the clinic that my test results came back positive and a prescription was sent to the pharmacy. REALLY? I was so irritated. In the time since I had been to the clinic, I had also lost my voice. What would have happened had I not called and demanded antibiotics? How many more people could I have infected? Thanks Dr! I think I should get paid for my own diagnosis! It may be time to find another clinic. I do like the Kelsey system as I've been to other clinics and specialists in the network. Maybe it's just this location that needs help. read more
