Absolutely amazing service, our server went above and beyond with immediately seating us and checking in on us while I fussed over the menu (I eat a plant-based diet because of allergies). My partner mentioned I was vegan while I was busy trying to decide and she asked immediately if I'd like to see the allergy menu she had at hand. When I said "Yes, please!" she brought it out, explained how there was more information on the inside about ingredients, and if I had any questions to ask. When I almost ordered something that was pre-seasoned with butter she knew the menu well and caught it right away, offering other alternate options instead! ok here's the deal: the music sucks. this is a 5 star place, i actually feel derpy giving these guys a 3 star rating. the food: pretty good! definitely among the best available on clifton hill. the service: reliable, consistent, above average the ambience: a patio on clifton hill? it's dope. but my lord, the music! i'm not sure if this is some sort of corporate mandated soundtrack, but goodness gracious we were here for 3 hours and not one single good song was played! not one! we much would have rather preferred silence. only one song i had ever even heard of. it's like this super shitty wannabe music by artists you've never heard of, each song terrible in its own unique way. it becomes difficult to bear after a while. like its objectively terrible music. anyways. come here, it's really good. but bring airpods or something. read more

On our first night we were overwhelmed & unsure of what we wanted to eat.. We walked into Kelsey's & we were extremely impressed especially with our waiter Mickey. I misread an item on the menu & when my dish arrived it had mushrooms.. I was just going to remove them but Mickey went above & beyond to insure I didn't have to. I decided to hit the falls with family and while here, l took a look at some reviews to decide where to get something to eat. Despite getting some better suggestions elsewhere we chose Kelsey's (mainly based on location). I'm not sure if times are tough at Kelsey's but they are certainly cutting down on heating the place. After being placed by the oversized drafty windows I decided to seat myself and my family at a booth. I should of adhered to proper etiquette of keeping my elbows of the table, this would of prevented my jacket sleeves from sticking to the table. The table was sticky and there were crumbs of left over food on the seats. I hoped choosing a dirty table over the drafty windows was the worst of it. Our server was a very enthusiastic young lady who introduced herself as Nichole (Nicole with an H as she put it). She was pretty as much as she was helpful and professional. We started out by ordering delicious spicy Ceasars. I enjoyed my drink so much that I ordered another in no time. My second Ceasar came with an unwashed celery stick. I figured that one out when I examined it closer after tasting some odd after my first bite. I quickly threw on the sticky table, and polished off my Ceasar in a hurry hoping to forget this experience. I ordered the Thai glazed chicken with goat cheese, mashed potatoes and vegetable medley. My food was tasty, but lukewarm at best. I guess they are holding back on electricity as Microwaves use a lot of energy. We also ordered Thai curry shrimp and the kids pizza meal. The place wasn't very busy, however; the wait was a little longer than what I would expect. My little one enjoyed her pizza and fries and especially enjoyed the blue snowcone with a sugar coated rim. My wife had no complaint with her meal other than eating her hot meal in the cold. In short, the food was average, the atmosphere tolerable, cleanliness substanstard, but the service outstanding. Nicole with an "H", turned up the heat, and continued to ensure that our dining experience was not soured any further. GIVE HER A RAISE! If your in the Falls, probably not a bad place to come with the family. However; with dirty tables and unwashed garnish in your drinks gives me the impression that this place isn't very clean. Kelsey's is essentially the Canadian version of Chili's or Applebee's. The menu and ambiance of the restaurant is similar to the American chains. Because of the similarities, I did not have high expectations but I was surprised. I tried the Messy Fish Sandwich and it was very enjoyable and filling. The sandwich was large and filled with thick breaded flakey Cod Filets. Overall, it was a nice lunch. read more

I finally made it to Canada! But I arrived late with my friends. We were hungry and needed some food, eh. After speaking to the locals we were directed to "Kelsey's." The place is massive! It is a modern marvel. I loved the vibe in the place. They had sports on, but the kicker is the only showed Canadian teams. Also they had a live band. The band playing light, old school rock and the patrons loved them. The waitress who was amazing, explained the money exchange and recommended paying with a card. Once we got that out of the way we placed our orders. My brother asked for his burger medium, but they don't offer that in Canada. I asked for American cheese and they had no idea what it was. No bother, we went for the cheddar and waited for the food. The place was crowded even though it was well after two in the morning. The food finally came out and it looked perfect. What was even better was the taste of the food. I was delighted with my meal. First time in Canada and they didn't let me down! I definitely recommend this place with a group of friends for a good time. Definitely give them a try if your in the need for a late bite. read more

Do yourself a favor and avoid the Niagara Falls, ON 'downtown' area altogether or fall victim to yet another tourist trap--your choice. We did the latter, despite really knowing better. Kelsey's looked nice from the outside and the staff and servers were very nice. The booth we were sat at, however, had super dirty floors. Clearly, a family with small children had sat there recently, so the floor was covered in pieces of fries. The food was bad. I'm sorry, but there's no sugar-coating it. Clearly, the staff in the kitchen don't care about the food AT ALL. The burgers were dry and bland (my dad had a normal beef burger, I had one with a veggie patty) and the fries were the worst fries I have eaten... actually probably ever. They were pre-fried and had been warmed up, so they were soggy and lukewarm. Nope. The drinks were ok, but overpriced. The ambience was that of a sports bar, but the music was so loud, I could barely hear my own thoughts. Overall rating (out of 5): Service: 5 stars Food: 1 star Drinks: 2 stars Cleanliness: 2 stars Ambience: 3 stars (turn down that music, dang!) Good: Large menus usually indicate frozen & thawed food, but I thought the food was quite tasty. Live music was a nice addition - we sat in the back where the music wasnt as loud. It was nice. Cheeseburger with bacon was outstanding. Kids cheese pizza also hit the spot for my youngest - he inhaled it. Nachos had an excellent flavor. Bad: the kids pizza was too hot for my 8 y/o to eat. No big deal, right? But the nachos app., ordered as entree, was "warm" and chips were soggy. Nachos were bereft of promised jalapenos as well. Ugly: Waiting tables is hard, under appreciated work; I am always *very* forgiving. However, this had the absolute worst service I've encountered in Canada. This says a lot considering the transient nature of clientele in such a touristy area. In summary: if you have time to kill, go here enjoy the food, music, and people. Those aspects rate high. ...but the speed of service is so bad! From the time we were seated until we left was over 90 minutes. This is a lifetime for an 8y/o who finished his meal in 15 minutes. I definitely had better expectations for this place solely judging on the visual appeal of it. I'll start with the positives(although not many). I thought the space was beautifully decorated, loved the added live music element and enjoyed the large outdoor seating area with views of one of the busiest streets. Now for food and drinks: we ordered the Thai chicken salad, bacon onion cheese grilled cheese and the peppercorn burger, along with a mixed cocktail and the beerita. Went to eat there for dinner, we were a party of 8. I had joined the wait list and told them there were 8 of us. An hour later, we were told to come back to be seated. There was no mention of being seated separately, we were just brought to our tables. They had put us in 2 separate tables of 4 outside on the patio. We were confused seeing as we booked as a party of 8 and there were also other large parties on the wait list. We had asked our server if we could possibly move out tables together. She left to ask someone because we had different servers. She came back and said yes, since we were paying separately. She took our order and left. So we started moving the tables together and another server stopped and said snarkily, "What are you doing???? You can't do that!" with a mad expression on her face. We said that we had asked our server for permission and she had said yes. Another server came and started using her hand to shoo our friends back to their spot. We were all so disappointed at how this was handled. The manager said that they deal with stuff like that all day, but that is such a poor excuse for how we were spoken to. He also said that there were only a few tables available to seat a big party. Which I was confused about, were we seated separately because of Covid or because they had no big tables left?? Also considering how our social circle can be up to 10, why did we get so much flak for trying to sit together?? I would give this restaurant a zero if I could. My experience in the restaurant overshadowed however good the food was. I'm only giving it a one star because of our server who was nice throughout it all. Right in the heart of the action in Niagara Falls, this restaurant had nice outdoor seating and great live music. It was busy at 7pm (not surprised) so it was a little loud and service was friendly but a bit slow. Overall food was ok. My husband had the chicken Caesar salad but it was only so-so. Kids meals were good and they loved getting ice cream included with their meal! A good spot if you want to avoid the overpriced chain restaurants in the area. read more

The beer selection here is very limited and a disappointment really. What they do make however are great mixed drink concoctions the girls absolutely enjoy (well mine does anyways) The food is ok but nothing to rave about. The burgers are actually rather small and the fries are placed in one of those teenie tiny baskets! I'm not sure but this seems to be the "new thing" with French fries! To me it just seems like a way for businesses to save some money! There's not many french fries that can be placed into one of those things! When we walked in, it looked like a rather trendy sports bar, so i thought hey its a place to eat. Well it turned out to be better than expected. We were seated immediately, our waitress was awesome, attentive, friendly and efficient. I had the wings, and they were just the way i like them, they came with veggies and i ordered coleslaw on the side, which was very tangy and flavorful. The person i was with had the chicken alfredo. Had to go back and reorder it after the rest of the food was served. My medium well steak came out extra well done. The mash potato was so disgusting I wanted to throw up on the spot. Everything else came out cold and stale. It just doesn't seem like the kitchen really cares for customers food. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area. Stopped by here before leaving the falls, to grab something to eat. The place was packed but we got a nice table (booth for 6) and was seated early. Everyone liked the food they ordered, we had no complaints. I ordered a fish taco (it was an appetizer) and I used a coupon that I had to get the Buffalo chicken wrap for 10$. The fish taco was really good, and I would order it again (they also had a jerk chicken and popcorn shrimp so I would try that too next time). The wrap was good, but I would want to try the messy fish sandwich, that looked really good. The restaurant was located on Clifton Hill so it was a good spot. Also, there was a guy playing music and singing on the patio which was nice (he was good). Our waiter was nice and the service was good. So I normally look at Yelp before visiting a place, however the hotel recommended Kelsey's so I didn't get around to look at the reviews until I went in. I'm glad I went before looking at the reviews because honestly I probably wouldn't have went. I don't like to waste my time or money. We went early afternoon so didn't get a chance to experience the nice ambiance that others have mentioned. However, our server was nice and attentive. We really enjoyed the wings fried hard and the tomato bisque soup was very good. I had a triple melt grill cheese or something of that nature and it wasn't that great as the sandwich was a bit dry like it was missing something. Also the sangria drink was watered down and not drinkable. I was disappointed as it sounded good. All in all, when back in town we would definitely return for those wings. I went here twice while on vacation in the area. The first night I sat at the bar and they had a great beer selection, I also looked at the rest of the drink menus and the sangrias sounded superb! Unfortunately I didn't get to try any, but it's okay. The second time I went I got a bite to eat... I love burgers and they all sounded soooo good, I wish I could have tried them all. I had gotten the 'Park your peppercorn' burger, it was delicious!! My boyfriend got the 'Na-cho Average' burger and he said it was everything he could have wanted and more(if you like spicy, of course, with a layer of jalapeños between TWO burger patties) The ambiance was very relaxing-the string lights inside, they had live music all day & night and the outside windows were open! Thankfully it was beautiful weather to sit back and relax and enjoy the restaurant. The service was great as well. Very friendly and always had a smile on their faces! I'm not one for restaurants in tourist locations since there's a very high chance that they'll be expensive but it was midnight when I first stopped by this place, and after walking up the hill (for the third time that night) slightly out of breath, I needed something to quench my thirst. I ended up having a basic strawberry margarita, which was more like a slushie, but it satisfied my taste buds. I was overly surprised at how friendly and attentive the bartenders & wait staff were. I definitely like the welcome-ness and vibe. They had open karaoke, it can be a little loud in the bar and close to the area where they perform, but they have spacious dining areas to accommodate. The second time coming here I ended up having a few drinks and ate right at the bar. I started out with a 'Two Handed Sangria', I chose the Somersby Raspberry Sangria which was refreshing, light, not tooo heavy, and, the fresh fruit was a nice touch. I ended up choosing the Feta Bruschetta Flatbread as an appetizer, which was off the charts amazing. It was packed with flavor, the balsamic glaze over top wasn't over powering, just the right touch. For dinner, I ended up having the Chipotle Shrimp Sirloin. I was concerned that there would be problems with how I like my steak cooked, I'm a very rare, seared on both sides, completely raw in the middle type of person.. and they got it spot on. It was one of the best steaks I've ever had. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great steakhouse in the area. I ended my fantastic meal, with 'Go Nuts Donuts', deep fried and filled with Nutella - with a choice of either peanut butter or caramel sauce on the side. I chose caramel. They weren't too heavy on the filling, golden to perfection. I would go back just for those donuts. The third time coming here, I ended up sitting across from the bar in the booths with a few friends. They ended up asking to move us because the bartenders who deal with the section were 'busy', and we'd be waiting forever to get service. I ended up getting another 'Two Handed Sangria', this time the Rosè one. It was on the sweeter side, and overpowering, too much going on at once. I ended up just having dessert, Brownie Bites that were deep fried, which were OK, not worth the price you pay. I also ordered the PB&J Sundae, which was basically two huge brownies covered in ice-cream and whip cream (lots of whip cream!). Didn't have any peanut butter taste, and the jelly was about a tablespoon worth, won't be impulse doing that again. Overall, this just might be my new spot to hang out with friends..
