The lines didn't look too busy so we decided to try this place. We were seated right away. It was a bit windy where we sat & loud from all the cars passing by. I would have preferred eating inside but at least our waitress was pleasant. She did give us a heads up to let us know it would take awhile before we got our food because they were super busy & she wasn't lying. We waited almost 30 minutes. When I finally got my steak swiss sandwich, it definitely lacked flavor. I was unsure if the sauce on the side was for the sandwich but once I added it to my sandwich it tasted way better. Came in on a Friday night and was pleasantly surprised to be seated right away. Waited 20 minutes after being seated for our server to come and take our drink orders. We ordered the Canadian fajita special and an 8oz sirloin dinner. Fajitas were really good. The broccoli and mashed potatoes came out cold. The nachos didn't look the same as the picture. What came out was very lackluster.The chips weren't crunchy, and barely any toppings were on the nachos. The cheese didn't even look fully melted. The spinach dip was luck warm at best but had great flavors. The pita chips were delicious. I also got the steak sandwich. It was delicious and had great flavor. It was lukewarm as well but maybe that's how it is served. I got the bacon on the side but it looked like it was barely cooked. The service was good and they were attentive. After eating a featured burger here I realized that you could sell fried sewer rat and make a fortune on this busy strip, I ordered a $23 bourbon barbecue bacon cheeseburger and what I got was a well done plain burger with raw greasy bacon. I asked if my burger was supposed to have a bourbon bbq sauce on it and the waitress said "there is some", I pulled it apart and asked where. She brought out the sauce and it was spicy garbage, I quickly knew why they don't add it. We both got sweet potato fries and they were like soggy shoe strings. Wow. Save your money. Buying a 12 hour old hotdog and coffee from a gas station would be more satisfying and have more flavour. Too much to type but 3 different pints were delivered to the table all flat. Ordered a bottled instead. Everything was cold. fries were cold and under seasoned we told waitress and she had a new batch delivered also cold. Not luke warm cold. Very surprising. The Thai curry bowl the Sauce had decent flavour the chicken clearly came from a frozen bag of cooked chicken as they were still frozen in centre and rubbery. Drinks arrived in an acceptable time but salads were nowhere to be found until we reminded the server. We ordered the spinach dip appetizer and the 8oz chicken thigh dishes. The spinach dip was overly cheesy but ok. The the fried chicken thighs were excellent! By the way the salads were DRENCHED in a VERY vinegary dressing. Eh! My sister, mom, and I visited the Niagara Falls area this past weekend and decided to stop in to Kelsey's for a bite to eat. We were seated fairly quickly which was nice. However, our table and menus were a bit dirty which was not a big deal as they quickly cleaned everything. The young man who served us was very nice; however, he did disappear for 10-15 mins when we needed a drink and napkins, which was a bit annoying. To eat, we ordered chicken tenders with poutine, a Caesar salad, and nachos. All of the items were good. The chicken on my salad was cold and I would've preferred it to be warm. However, I did try some of the other items and it was all very tasty. I really liked the poutine. Overall, we had a good experience and would definitely visit again next time we are in the area. read more

Went on a trip to Niagara Falls and decided to eat at Kelsey's since it was near many of the attractions I wanted to go to. It's a fairly large place with lots of booths and bar seating, perfect for families or a night out. We were seated right away but probably waited a good 15 minutes before someone actually came by to serve us. Our server was apologetic and told us that someone had called in sick and he wasn't informed that he was serving our table, which we totally understood. To start, my partner and I ordered the four cheese spinach dip with baked pita. I ordered the chicken, beet, and goat cheese salad as my main, and my partner ordered the mushroom melter burger. The spinach dip itself was great and fresh, but the pita was super tough and dry. We've had this exact order at different Kelsey's locations and never had this issue with their pita before. I enjoyed my salad. It was a good portion and was surprisingly very filling. It had good amounts of chicken which was great, especially since many places barely give you any chicken in your salads. I had a bite of my partners burger since he wasn't very satisfied with it, and I found that the patty lacked much flavour and was over cooked. The beef was dry and bland. Luckily the other toppings were flavourful and made up for it. Towards the end of our meal, I overheard our waiter apologizing for the late service to a table next to us, saying that someone had just gotten fired. I found it odd how our excuse was that someone called in sick, and theirs was a different one. Perhaps it was just a bad day for the staff, but it definitely threw me off. Overall, it's not a bad place to grab some lunch or dinner if you're in the area. The portion sizes are fair but on the pricier side, and the food is average. You might be able to find some better restaurants to eat at around the block. read more

Went here on new years eve. Our server waa great! I forget her name but she was working by the bar lounge area. She was prompt, checked up on us a few times and very friendly. Only improvement would be the gravy - it was a bit salty. I had to scrape off some gravy form the chicken. I'm not sure where to begin. I like the ambiance and our server was really nice. Unfortunately, there was a bee in my frozen drink, which was not really a big deal and I wanted to just order a beer instead. When the appetizer was dropped off by a different server I told her that there was a bee in my drink and she didn't let me finish what I wanted to say and proceeded to tell me there are bees everywhere and pretty much acted and spoke as if bees in a drink is the norm. After telling her I understand that and it was not like the bee just flew in my drink It was cut in half and it obvious that it was mixed in when the drink was made. She got upset and couldn't understand what the big deal was. I told her the big deal was her attitude. So we decided to leave and go across the street to the works for a burger and service was 100 times much better. Located in the heart of the downtown Niagara Falls area, Clifton Hill St., is this nice restaurant with plenty of seating and a covered outdoor patio. For a Saturday night with a little rain, this place was popping. On the patio was live music which was streaming throughout the entire restaurant. Although the restaurant was very crowded, our group of 9 was sat right away. Service was great. Our waiter was friendly and very attentive. When I asked if the fireworks over the falls were still happening that night with the rain, he said he would have the manager check the website for us. They were still going off as planned and he told us some good viewing spots if we were staying in the area. As for the food, it was enjoyable. I'm not sure if I liked it because I was hungry and just finished running a race, or it really was tasty. Either way, I enjoyed it. Presentation was nice and I appreciate the substitution of veggies for pasta. Portions aren't huge, but the perfect amount. We also had some appetizers for the table. I had a little bit of everything but mostly the cauliflower bites were more my thing. Bonus, they split the bill to make it easy on us. Our waiter asked from the beginning if we would like that and of course we said yes. To begin, there were about 6 staff members working the front. They all gave off the impression that they didn't want to be there through short answers to questions and being unresponsive. We ordered the spinach and cheese dip to start with baked pita, a 10 count of wings with honey garlic and bbq sauce, and a side Caesar salad. The spinach and cheese dip itself was good (the highlight of the entire meal), but the pita bread seemed like it had been over baked as it was very hard and crunchy. The wings were probably the tiniest wings I had ever been served before. They definitely are not worth the $20.48 price tag. And the Caesar salad was very plain and seemed like it had just been thrown together quickly in the back. Was in town for New Year weekend and settled here for lunch. Was greeted and seated promptly, our server was fantastic, the service was really good. The restaurant and our table were clean.
