Not wanting to tear out drywall I wanted a fan box that laps onto the joist. My go to is usually Lowes. While picking up the box I grab some other supplies. I was not able to find what I was looking for. Lowes now has sparsely located some buttons to call for help. Help arrive after a bit of a wait. The associate was "ambushed" by three people as I watched down the aisle. He was polite and very helpful. We found the only box in a box and I was on way. In the parking I decide to open the box to see if it were complete. The box was only usable on the edge of a 2X but my joists have a 3x facing down. The box won't fit. So I went back to customer service and exchanged the box in a box for my $5.68 back. I headed off to Home Depot who had the correct Universal box. Lowe's selection for home retrofit projects is getting limited.

Mgr. and the employees seem to have to "work around" him to deliver the customer service that they have been known for!

I submitted the email with all the requested information on May 2nd. I contacted Haynes Brothers to confirm they got the email. I was told the email was received and they would need to work to get the window information from their system. It's been roughly 4 weeks later and no further contact from Haynes Brothers. I called back today and there was obviously no follow-up or follow through. Why can't they call back and just tell me they do not want the business vs ghosting me. Nope, you will not find name brand anything in this store. No DeWalt, Stanley or any of the like. Here you will only find HFT branded items, or companies you've never heard of. Think slow boat China. While the smells of rubber and plastic are beyond overwhelming, this store is well-lit and always clean. I have not asked for assistance, but the staff have been friendly when I'm interacting with them at check-out. So you ask, "Why have they been awarded a fourth star?". The coupons! Some areas of Middle Tennessee already include Harbor Freight coupons in their mailers. If you're not currently receiving them, you can sign up in store...and yes, it's worth it. For example, I needed to purchase a tarp. I had a HFT coupon for a FREE tarp with ANY purchase. (And yes, they do mean ANY.) Less than three dollars later, I had TWO tarps. They're not the fanciest of tarps, but they're doing a great job of keeping the rain off of the items I needed to protect outside. Boom on a budget! The salesperson who handled our order clearly did not have the experience required to properly measure, specify, or advise on door selections. He visited our site multiple times to measure and confirm details, and we went over everything thoroughly and very specifically. Despite that, critical information about material variations, sizing differences, and height changes were never disclosed, even when directly relevant to the doors we selected. When the order finally arrived, multiple doors were wrong, sizes were incorrect, and several items were damaged. Instead of taking responsibility, the salesperson attempted to shift the blame onto us--despite the fact that we clearly communicated our requirements and relied on his supposed expertise to ensure they were met. It is not the customer's job to know door construction standards and material tolerances. That is the company's responsibility. The situation required multiple escalations to management. There has been poor communication, ongoing delays, and additional costs on our end to repair and correct issues that should never have occurred in the first place. Weeks later, we are still waiting on replacement doors and resolution. This entire experience has been extremely frustrating, time-consuming, and expensive. The level of disorganization, lack of accountability, and overall incompetence we encountered was unacceptable. I would highly recommend choosing another company if you want your order handled correctly the first time.
