Bought my F-150 here and love the truck. I travel around the country doing disaster recovery and need my truck in excellent running condition. Had brakes and rotors replaced in Oct. 2025 and cost were just under $1000 dollars. Arrived in South Carolina 5-months later with a bad vibration and had to have them replaced again. Another $1100 dollars. Dealer there stated rear rotors were aftermarket. Checked my receipts for me and confirmed part numbers were not Ford. No warranty from Ford except for manufacturers defects, but I expect factory parts and equipment. Who warranties the aftermarket parts? Not very happy. read more

Tok my truck to Ken Stoepel Ford to get warranty work done. It had a transmission vibration. They took the truck in and supposedly fixed it. Got it back and it was doing the same thing. Took it back again. They told me it was the tires and they needed to be changed. I changed tires and it still had the vibration. Asked them to do a road force test. They said that they did. When I picked up the truck, they were going to charge me $60 for the road force test. I was going to pay it. They said they waived the charge and took care of it for me. I was grateful. I then asked several times to get the results of the road force test. After several emails and calls later, they have pretty much told me that they had "paying customers" and couldn't be bothered by us because we were a warranty job. They did NOT do the road force test as stated. They have been rude and completely disrespectful. I emailed the store manager, and he blew us off and pushed us off to someone else. I am EXTREMLY UNHAPPY with the dealership, the way we were treated and the attitude that we received. read more

Terrible experience and I will never again use this dealership! The rep Ken was very condescending to me both on the phone and in person!! I had a simple issue and they found a way to initially make it a huge ordeal. The vehicle was under warranty and they wanted to collect $175. I contested that and then they did eventually agree that they will work on the truck without charging me that $175. Crazy policy, but that is another topic for someone else to complain about. Anyway, I scheduled an appointment about a week out, which was fine, with a FULL understanding that I had to wait while they were working on the vehicle. This should have been either a quick fix or, a quick diagnosis and I should have been on my way. Two and a half hours went by and they hadn't even got the truck in yet! I couldn't wait any longer because I had other obligations out of town that I had scheduled and couldn't reschedule. What I ended up doing is driving 7 hours round trip to get the truck fixed from the Ford dealer who welcomes the warranty work and gets it done. I had an appointment with my trusted dealer and, no sooner did I get out of my vehicle they were pulling it into the bay!! After having my car in service for 10 days, upon its return, I went to start the car and it would not start! I immediately contacted the Service Manager Lin Mayfield. He immediately came to my rescue ! He along with service tech Sean, came to my home. They jumped the battery. It started. Wow! They followed me to the Dealership. Ken Baker, Service Advisor, totally put me at ease. Discussed the process that would be taken on my car, since it was just worked on and sent home. I immediately was put at ease with Ken!! I have no idea where to even start with this. This is two years in the making. Spent $30k on a truck, 3 months later my dashboard goes out and i bring it in to get serviced, told they can't find a issue, alright. Second time a few months later same thing, same outcome. The service department worker "Cameron U" has been absolutely horrible to deal with from those two occasions, smart ass comments and laughing at me when i told him about my issues with the truck. The last time i brought it in he actually acted a bit better but when out processing my truck made another smart ass comment "well, maybe that last time you slapped your dash it fixed the issue. Sorry we couldn't fix it". Idk how the dealership can't find a bad wire even after telling them if i slap the dash it corrects itself and the dash comes back on, they had it for a week. Never called me, i had to call them for updates. As every single time i've been told i'd get a call back, i never did. Ever. The only time i ever got a call back is when i was BUYING the truck. I guess they wanted my money? Once out the door "fuck you" basically is all i've gotten. Was told I had a limited extended warranty when leaving with the truck, called about it and said they never told me that. Cool. Told me it would be $1,800 to Just remove my dash to look at the wiring harness and possible lose wire and that "we are hesitant to do that". But my truck stayed in the same spot for 3 days, i checked on it as i drove by daily. Stay away. Going to Ford in Boerne from now on. Idk how this service department stays afloat, can't find a issue 3 times? Give it back and say "well, its all good!" I ordered a Maverick truck from the Ford.com websight, I was able to build the truck and at the end the information is sent to the nearest dealer or the Ford dealer of your choice. Cecilia White called me from Ken Stoepel and we made a deal on my trade in and I paid a small non-binding fee to start the build. All the customers had to wait for 10 months to get the truck. I ordered in Aug. and it was delivered in June. I put on a few thousand miles on my trade in and Ken Stoepel kept the same deal we had 10 months ago. This Ford Dealership is the worst I have ever been in. If a person could give negative stars this is the Ford Dealership it should be used on. I have the privilege to travel throughout this great country. I have never experienced a Ford Dealership like this. Mr. Ford would be rolling over in his grave. I feel the Ford Motor Company really needs to take a hard look at this dealership and ask if this is the proper way we would like to be represented in Kerville, TX or any were else. I have a cluncking noise on my left front wheel and brake. When brakes are applied and turning to the left the steering locks up and will not turn all the way to the steering stop. With no brakes applied and turning to the left it still makes a bad clunking noise but it will turn all the way to the steering stop. Shana the service advisor is extremely rude, unprofessional, and dose not listen to her customers and Dave the shop foreman in no better. They are blaming all of this on my Kelderman leveling kit. When talking to Kelderman they explained that when installing this system they do not do any work on the brakes except for relocating the brake line. They re-torqued the new system that helped with the noice but still did not fix all the issues. I will take it to another shop that has more experience with aftermarket parts and custom equipment. Stoepel Ford will use any excuse to milk you out of money if you have any upgrades to your truck any will tell you that what you have installed is the cause of your problems and then have the guts to ask you why didn't you buy your truck from us. Well over priced and they are asking sticker prices. I build the truck I want online and call around the to different dealer's and each dealership I call gets 1 chance to give me their best price. The one with the best price wins. I stopped going into dealerships years ago due to all the BS you get when you step on their lot. We are customers not a dead deer on the side if the road. I feel if you have 2 people in the service shop that treat you bad and you experience this why would you think you'll get a better experience with their sales department? Here is the kicker. My dealership told them that they will be covering the cost of $220.00 to re-torque the hardware. They talked to Shana at 11:00 Texas time and asked her for the invoice she told them that she was not done with the paperwork and would email it over to them shortly. She then texted me (Yes I SAID TEXT) and wrote that the truck is done but she is waiting on payment before she will release my truck. I called my dealership and they told me they are waiting on Shana to send over the invoice they requested earlier this morning. So at 4:40 Texas time they received the invoice via email and called Shana and paid for it with no questions asked. But wait I do have a question. When did it become okay to send text messages to a customer? I picked up the truck and do you really think Shana could walk all the way out to the truck with me to review all of the service preformed? (NO) I also have a Shelby GT500 with 2,000 miles on it that just sits in my garage. It needs a oil change and a recall bulletin fixed. Do you think I will trust these jack asses with this car? (HELL NO) Took my truck to another Ford shop as the had it on their lift moving the wheel slightly side to side they noticed the draglink bar moving up 1/8th inch causing the noise and the steering to lock up when the brake is applied. With this new discovery they ordered a new aftermarket heavy duty draglink. read more

I purchased a 2013 Ford F-150 Lariat from this dealership that I found online back in 2015. We were able to get all of our questions answered over the phone and additional photos sent to us so the process went reasonably well. Since we were buying the vehicle from California I had my parents stop by and test drive it. My wife and I worked with Benjamin Gardner throughout the process and it was pretty smooth for a long distance purchase. They worked with us to complete all of the paperwork via fax and next day mail. There were a few hiccups when dealing with California taxes and registration but that's more due to our bank and the state rather than the dealership. They did try to slip a Window vin etching fee in last minute but when I talked with a manager about it, they removed the cost. I got an incredible deal (well below blue book) and the dealership handled the long distance purchase better than any other dealership I've dealt with and I've done this type of purchase 3 times now. April 2019 I was driving from So. California to south Texas along the 10 FWY when the engine of my 2007 Sport Trac dropped a rod. We limped into Kerrville (Ken Stoepel Ford) where they did an engineer analysis and told my the motor lost two pistons. I decided to have my Sport Trac engine replaced with a local auto mechanic in Kerrville. When I retrieved my truck @ Ken Stoepel Ford they couldn't locate my keys and remote. The replacement price for a key/remote & programing I was told is about $350.00... I would have given 5 stars but for the fact that I asked that the "Dealers Option" be removed from the contract.. It is wax and fabric treatment for $499.00. I was promised it would be removed I showed up and it was still on the contract. I was promised it would be removed again. later I went to sign the contract and it was on there again. So three times I had to ask for it to be removed. Maybe a coincidence. They were far better than the San Antonio Dealers of which Red McCombs was the worst. I would recommend them just take your time and read everything as you should anyway. Their internet man Micheal is very good found the vehicle I wanted then I was passed to Andrea. That"s when it got stereotypical car sales person. Her emails said get here now or miss out on incentives. I mentioned back I don't do this quickly I would get there when I could and even then I would take a day or two on this. Her next email said take your time but hurry she just heard the manager offer $1500 dollars over the trade for someone else, as if I didn't get there now they wouldn't do it for me. Lets get real. This is the internet world and it was as if she were following the "trick" checklist. But to qualify this I have had similar results from the other dealerships I have encountered. Very sad experience. Made the deal with 0% financing. No problem, we were told as long as our credit checked out. When we went to sign papers, they gave us Ford standard financing, over 5%. Wait a minute! Did we qualify for 0%, yes we did. So why didn't we get it? Because, they explained if we take 0% we lost rebates, so that changed the price of the car. Well, we made the deal, set the price with rebates and 0% financing, and no one said we would lose the rebates. You know they all knew that, but didn't tell us. I guess they figured they could slip the 5.4% interest financing past us and we wouldn't notice. They never mentioned the 5.4% interest change to us until we questioned the payment. If we hadn't asked, and signed the papers believing they had been honest and above board, we would have been stuck with that lousy deal. Buyer beware. read more

We had a great experience all around when it came to Ken Stoepel Ford. It all began with an internet search, an innocent inquiry about a truck and an estimated trade in value. Seantel returned my call within minutes to talk about my trade and what we were interested in. She was such a sweetheart and very engaged in all turns our conversation took; from us being full time RVers to where we had been to wanting to see pictures. She made an appointment for us to meet with Scott once we got back in town. When we arrived we were greeted immediately by Steve Black, we told him who our appointment was with, he took us to the lounge checked if he could get us anything and went to notify them that we had arrived. Scott was busy so Benjamin came to meet us and talk to us, so we wouldn't have to wait longer than needed. Benjamin let us know that Steve would be assisting us as our product specialist. We took a few minutes to discuss what truck we came to look at. Unfortunately that had truck had been sold. Steve had listened to what we needed and offered to show us other models available that would meet our needs. After a couple test drives and some circling of the trucks we decided on one. Steve was informative and patient through our entire process. Knowing we were not from the area and that we hadn't spent time there Steve answered questions and gave us some information about places to go.
