DO NOT GO HERE!! Went for an inspection and oil change. I was told the inspection wouldn't pass because of a divot in my rotor, but they could fix it. Then he visually " inspected" the brake pad without removing the wheel. Told me it was almost worn thru and they could do a complete front brake job for $385.00. I left, called 2 other inspection stations who said a divot in the rotor wasn't not a reason to fail inspection and you had to remove the wheel to inspect a brake pad. I went to another place and had my inspection and oil change completed there. Oil change price was lower than Texas express also. Do they think women are stupid? DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!! read more

I might have lucked out, but everyone was friendly and helpful when I went in. I brought two trucks in on the same day and they got them in and out quickly and efficiently. One had an oil change and replaced some fluids and filters, the other had a vehicle inspection. I was greated quickly, and we got both vehicles in and out without a wait. The vehicle inspection had a minor issue that a newer employee flagged, but his supervisor had it repaired within two-minutes. It resolved the issue (and the vehicle passed) and I was not charged extra for the assistance. They provided options for what I could do for services on the vehicles, but didn't do a heavy sales push in any way. Everyone was super nice, and we were in and out quickly. read more

Last week I went here for a vehicle inspection. When I stated the purpose for my visit, the first thing the employee, Cameron, told me was that I would pay the fee for the inspection whether it passed or not. The man was rude and unpleasant. Surprisingly, a short time later, I was told that my vehicle had failed. I have to wonder if his rude, condescending attitude had more to do with me being a woman driving a nice car, rather than the inspection itself. I took my car to another inspection station where it passed. I will not be recommending Texas Express Lube to anyone again. read more

I use to come here all the time and always had a good experience. Not anymore. Typical male environment now. Very little help. David, I understand your job is important but when you told me, "You can go wait in the lobby. I need to discuss something with you." How menacing. I felt like I was being summoned to the principals office. If you're going to fail someone's inspection for an emergency brake not being "strong" enough at least tell them where to have it fixed or give some sort of suggestion. All I got was, "Someone's gonna have to adjust it". Cool, thanks bro. I hope my $7 buys more paper cups for your garbage water machine. read more

Guys Working there are assholes, never will change. Failed inspection due to eyebrow window tint on my truck. Texas law says it can come down 5 inches my tint was at 5 inches but told me I had to cut it to 3. Don't waste your time going here. I recommend anybody but these assholes. read more

The manager Donny "Hoss" Geralds got to my 2016 Chevrolet Colorado right away. He fixed the problem with my brakes in timely fashion (even though they were busy with oil changes and inspections) and didn't try to sell me on repairs that weren't needed. I selected Express Lube for my Texas yearly safety inspection. The main reason this establishment was selected is due to the convenience of the drive-through service. When I arrived I was greeted in the parking lot and the technician explained it would be a 45-minute wait because of a break job being accomplished. I said okay, did my shopping, and returned. Upon completion of the inspection, the technician explained they did not have change for a 10 dollar bill. I gladly said to keep the change to expedite the transaction. Upon arriving home I find the VIN number was in error on the inspection paperwork. I called Express Lube the following day to have them correct the issue. They stated they could not do it over the phone. I explained I lived far away and asked if they would reconsider. No Dice. A second trip was required to correct their error. I will not be returning. Their customer service needs work. read more

Staff is very friendly and more importantly, trustworthy! I've been to many chain shops that suggest services or parts you don't need. That's never been my experience here. My dad needed some work done on his Toyota Camry. He lives in San Antonio and took it to the Kerrville shop. Went here instead of our regular place for a state vehicle inspection because we were in town. BIG mistake. The process took more than an hour. Staff never answered any questions and finally reported that the vehicle didn't pass because of a bad sway bar linkage. This is not a viable cause for failure, according to State of Texas guidelines - which were confirmed subsequently by our private mechanic. The rude manager at Texaslibe interrupted our conversation to be hostile and then tried to tear our still currently valid inspection sticker from our windshield. This was the worst experience I've had to date when dealing with an inspection place. Too many other places in the area to give your money to. STAY AWAY! read more
