They aren't cheap, but when you want the assurance of having work done correctly and a place that stands behind their work, this is the place to come to. And my vehicle alignment wasn't bad at all, but I can definitely feel the difference over rough roads. I'm pleased with the work done by Moss Motors on my 15 year old 2007 Dodge Ram 3500 pickup truck. Dustin and Marvin determined that my oil pan and transmission fluid pan both had cracks and needed to be replaced, and sent me detailed photos and a descriptions of the problems along with the estimate for the repair. Ann and Dolly working the front office were friendly and pleasant and called me by name now. I know nothing about cars, so when my car started making noise it got me worried. I also commute 40 minutes to Kerrville for work everyday, so this needed to be fixed pronto. I brought my car in and left it in the shop for them to determine the issue and by the end of the day they had a pdf estimate texted to me with a breakdown of all the pricing. The manager spoke to me and explained to me in detail what was wrong. I brought in my car the next day at 8:00am and they were done by 10:00am! The front desk associates were very nice and friendly and made the process very easy. They also mentioned that they are Napa Certified so if I ever had trouble with what they replaced, it would be guaranteed at any Napa location. Not from the area and needed a place to take my truck to get the A/C fixed after having a new compressor put in at a different shop that wasn't working. I called Moss Motors in the morning and they had an appointment scheduled within an hour, they found exactly what was wrong, took some pictures for me to show to the previous shop to help me get a refund. We stopped in here after our Jeep broke down in the middle of a cross country trip. I can't say enough about the quality of the customer service we received. They were able to get us in for the repair immediately, and thoroughly explained what the issue was. We also felt like they genuinely cared about us, and our safety as women traveling with kids. While the vehicle was being repaired, my sister and I started talking about taking a different route to our destination, so that we wouldn't end up stranded in the middle of nowhere if we broke down again. The sweet ladies in the office helped us map out different routes to take for the remainder of our trip, even pulling up a map on the computer so that we could see a larger view of the different routes. They were also incredibly kind and patient to the kids, who weren't exactly quiet the whole time. The staff was just absolutely amazing. Very friendly folks, I'd definitely recommend them. read more

NOTE to review below: Moss Motors contacted me 3 days after I took my car to their shop. They apologized for not informing me in advance of the diagnostic fee. They have refunded my money. I went to Moss Motors today as I was hearing a noise that seemed to be a tire issue. I told them about the noise and could they please check the tires. They did so and advised I needed 4 new tires as they were 7 years old according to the number on the tire. I believe they only checked the number on one tire as 2 tires were purchased less than 3 years ago. They then told me about two other issues under the hood that needed addressing. I was then charged $50 for todays visit. I understand that they probably had good intentions of checking under the hood and informing me of their findings. But all I asked for was a diagnosis of noise from my tires. If they had told me it was going to cost $50 to check my tires, I would have thanked them, left and found someone else to help me. I'm happy to pay for services rendered, which in this case it seems no more than $20 would have been sufficient. I am new to Kerrville and was hoping Moss Motors could be my new auto service center - doubtful that will happen now. read more

wow this guy has BALLS! I told him that my dist. cap needed to be replaced. He swore that it was my $500 time chain and not my $45 distributor. They did the work and Moss actually gave me my car back running EXACTLY the same. I went and purchased a dist cap they put it on and VOILA! problem solved. Not only did he walk off and leave the premises when I was speaking to him about blatantly ripping me off, they charged me to put the cap on.
