Excellent I have an on-off again right shoulder problem. Went to Kendahl for a 25 minute deep sports massage and she fixed it for me. Not sure if Kendahl was having an off day or what, but this place was a disappointment and definitely not worth the cost. To preface, I've probably, at minimum, have had 70 massages in my life. I've been to massage chains, individual practitioners who work out of their homes, small business massage places, Thai, Swedish, and deep tissue massages so I feel like I know what I'm talking about. Kendahl was nice, friendly, and I felt mostly safe with her (I have had bad experiences in the past) which is why I have given 3 stars. The deep tissue pressure was there, but she didn't spend as much time on my shoulders and neck area as desired. She also never touched my feet which was an area I told her I get a lot of cramps in before we started. She also didn't check in with me to see how the pressure was which I think is strange since I was a first time customer. Another problem is the sheet she had on her table didn't completely cover my back. I ended up getting cold, which tightens up the muscles during massage - not a good thing. She moved my arms to hang over the massage table while she worked on my shoulders which was the right move to get into that area, but she never put my arms back so they were just dangling the rest of the massage. Yes, I could have put them back myself, but most massage therapists put your arms back. It made me think she was going to return to my shoulder area as my back was still exposed as well, but she never did. Individually, I can look past all of these things, but when experienced collectively, this makes for a less than average experience, ESPECIALLY for the price of $110. She also spent 15-20 minutes just on my left leg, thigh, and butt. That was slightly uncomfortable since she uncovered my butt and only had the sheet covering my right side. The my entire back and left side all the way down to my toes was exposed. I would have liked to have had my back covered. Also, my lady parts felt exposed which triggered one terrible experience I had at another massage place where I ran out of the room! Most massage therapists will cover your butt and tuck the sheet in between your legs so you're still nicely covered. She did not do this, but I still felt mostly safe. I would say I was still on guard though. I also only paid for a 50 min massage so I was wondering why so much time was on my left leg. I thought maybe I'm off on the time, but then she spent 5 minutes on my right leg, which had way more tightness than my left and needed attention and said "ok mama, you're done" like what?!?! So unbalanced and uneven! Most massage therapists also have you flip on your back and finish with a face massage or massage the tops of shoulders and head. Overall, I didn't feel any real relief in my neck and shoulders from the tension and tightness that exists there on the regular, which is the whole point for me. I don't care about having a relaxing massage, I care about results. Unfortunately this place didn't deliver. TL;DR - a very unbalanced massage that did not provide tension relief and was way over priced. Sheets did not cover my body fully either so I got cold. 3 stars because I've had waaay worse experiences in regards to safety and I felt mostly safe here. Nice person, but would not recommend services, especially at this price point. read more

Best massage I've ever had--please read! I've gone to see Kendahl three times over the last few months because I've been experiencing a lot of back pain. Each time I left feeling actual pain relief and relaxation, which I have never been able to get at the other typical massage places. Kendahl is kind, professional, exceptionally knowledgeable and experienced, and she really cares about her clients' well-being. I can't recommend her enough! HOT DAMN, am I so happy to have found Kendahl. I've had hundreds of massages in my day, so after seeing her excellent reputation, I had high expectations. But boy did she exceed them. I did a deep tissue which not going to lie, parts are rough but in the best way. I left feeling like a million bucks, slept like a baby and woke up the next day without the neck/shoulder and lower back pain I normally suffer from due to my job as a cosmetic tattoo artist. I own a karate studio, and I also run trails and run marathons. I get banged up from time to time but mostly it's just repetitive stuff. I found kendahl after doing some online research and it's been a great experience. I've seen her 3 times now, and she seems very knowledgeable, very organized, and sincerely interested in fixing my problem ( right now it's a shoulder problem that seems to be in the deltoids radiating down the bicep). Just what I needed. In the area from Austin/ Wimberley and looked up a deep tissue therapist and saw she had great reviews. Now I know why. I have had lower back strain all week. I saw my regular therapist on Monday and as of today still hurting. I just left Kendahl who graciously fit me in last minute and what a difference. She really concentrated on the area that was hurting and I walked out feeling much better. I come into Dallas at least once a month and will definitely set an appt every time even just for relaxation and if my back tightens up again I will make the trip just to have her work it out again. Kendahl is truly great at what she does. I've sought her out a few times while in the Dallas area. She's friendly and engaging, but most of all she's very observant and intuitive about what's going on with your body. She doesn't just follow the same patterned massage that others do - she figures out what your body needs and then gets right in there with hands, forearms, and elbows, and addresses it.
