I was pretty surprised to see that the shop was pretty empty when I walked in. They took me in as a walk-in and the tech mentioned I was one of their first customers of the morning (it was around 11:30 am when I got there). While I was there, maybe one other person walked in. The tech I had was super nice, I think her name was Ann? And the manicure went well. The only issue I had was the gel started peeling off within a week of getting the manicure. I've only had that problem like 2 times with gel manicures before. They also didn't have prices listed so that was a little annoying for me, because I like to know ahead of time how much I'll be paying. I'm extremely disappointed with the way my mom and I were treated at this nail salon. I made an appointment for my mom last night with a specific nail technician, and I even asked beforehand if he was available. I was told yes. When my mom showed up for her appointment today, suddenly we were told he couldn't take her and had no availability for the next two weeks. Why confirm an appointment if you know the person isn't available? This also isn't the first time we've had problems here. Whenever we ask to get our eyebrows done, there always seems to be a different excuse about why the eyebrow lady isn't available. What bothered me the most was the disrespectful treatment toward my mom. One of the employees raised her voice at her saying, "No, no, no." Then, when I asked about getting a pedicure, some of the employees began speaking to each other in another language and laughing. Regardless of what was being said, the way the situation was handled made my mom feel mocked and uncomfortable. There is absolutely no reason for a paying customer to be treated this way. We came in expecting the appointment that had been confirmed and basic respect. Instead, we left feeling embarrassed and disrespected. Normally, this is my favorite spot to get my pedicure. Yesterday i got my toes done by Mia. she kept cutting my toe nail over and over again. When i asked her why she kept cutting my nail (at this point it was bleeding) she said i had an ingrown nail. I've only had one in my life but what i do know is that they're painful. I told her no i didn't, that i would've known if i had one. She tried to continue cutting but i told her to leave it alone already. Sure enough SHE ended up giving me an ingrown toe nail from how crooked she cut my nail. My toe got extremely red and it's painful. Now i really do have an ingrown. Today I went here for the first time and Ann did my manicure. I picked out a paraffin manicure (which is amazing and didn't know they existed!) She was gentle taking of my gel polish with the nail drimmal. And when she took my cutical off she made sure it was all gone. I came on a Sunday and it was busy. I sat for about 20 minutes before being greeted. I sat an hour before being serviced. I actually called on my way to se if I needed to make an appointment and they said no but took appointments over me the entire hour I sat there. I went in for color change, one nail repair and gel pedi. The pedicure was fine. The color change and nail repair was the worst. The guy at the front desk did my nails and he was rough. I had to pull my hand back several times and tell him his tool was too hot. My gel color change has air bubbles/pockets and the overall paint job was just bad. I went and got my nails done last week Friday the 5th for a wedding this Saturday the 13th,I knew I wouldn't have time in between. Today Friday the 12th one nail popped off and another is raising up a lot and another u can see it's about to. I called the shop to see about getting it fixed and they said yes but they would charge me as they only guarantee within a FEW days! Wow! I was hesitant about going here because of the reviews but I had the best experience from the moment I walked in. The gentleman at the front desk was so welcoming and polite. A younger man did my nails, but one of my nails broke off literally two hours later and a few more the next day. I went back and explained the situation and was told to come back the next morning, and the older man who seemed to be the boss said he would redo them. I didn't mind coming back. I've come here a few times and the workers were always great except the owner Tuan. I always see him busy and thought he must be good since he's always booked. He was able to take on my gel manicure and it was awful. I'm not the person to complain about small details because I know people work hard but this time I had to speak up. To start, my manicure was awful. He's so rough and just rips off your cuticle! So rough that he made my left nail bleed My left nails were uneven and he worked so fast that he didn't give the gel enough time to cure it and spots of polish were missing on my nails. In the end, the nails were really bad. Once I was done, I was still waiting around for my daughter and mom to be done. I thought about speaking up and it's too much money for someone to not speak up when your unhappy. My mom told the lady who was doing her nails, what happened with mine and even when one the workers took a look at my nails, she couldn't believe that it was gel, they looked awful. The most disgusting thing he did was wipe my cuticles leftovers ON MY HAND!! I couldn't believe it, he took the cuticle cutters and wiped off the cuticles on the back of my hand then wiped off my hand with his towel. He even laughed like if it was funny. I should've know right there and then to tell him to stop and not continue with his service. Someone else made a comment that he's distracted and doing other things while attending to you and yes, it a true! He'll ring up customers, answer calls and goes back to working on your hands without switching out his gloves. Touching the card reader then going back to massage your hands. Exchanging germs. For an owner, I would except more professionalism but no. If you're that busy, then hire a receptionist. In the end, I had to speak up. I told him that I was not happy with the work, showed his what was wrong and he told me he would fix it. By then I was already 2 1/2 hours in the salon and had a dinner to attend to so I asked if I could came back tomorrow. You can see that he was very irritated/angry that I even said anything in the first place but again, when you pay $35 for gel manicure and are not happy, you must say something. So he took off the gel and mentioned that I could came back tomorrow if I wanted to. That day he didn't charge me. The only plus is that my mom and daughter had really great work done on them but my experience was awful. I've never experienced this bad of service at a nail shop in my life! This picture was taken two days later and my cuticles HUST SO BAD!( my right hand). You can see my skin peeling from how bad he ripped off my skin.
