A mini lion I asked for and Kendra did an AWESOME job!! This pic does not do any justice the lil bow was a great touch

I've never taken my dog to the groomers only because of the horror stories I've heard. But I've decided to give it a shot! My lil pup's fur was getting pretty uneven and his nails were getting too long. I've reached out to a couple different businesses but they were either too expensive or they closed too early. I found Kendra's yelp page and she had great reviews! I called her up and she was able to get in me within less than 2 hours! She let me know it was at her home and to just go around back. I was pretty skeptical when she said that, until I actually came by and saw how professional her backyard grooming section was. I was very new to this dog grooming process so I had a lot of questions and Kendra was able to explain everything she will be doing to my lil pup. The reassurance was definitely there that my pup will be in good hands. It only took an hour, actually less until Kendra gave me a call to say my pup was ready to be picked up! I was a bit nervous yet exited to see my new pup's do. Haha. And OMG, he looked adorable! Never looked or smelled better his entire life!! Handsome lil pup! Hehehe. (The pic doesn't do any justice!!!!) Kendra even gave us a little dog food scooper. Thanks sooo much Kendra! I will definitely be coming back. Affordable, professional, knowledgeable, quick, caring, and clean!

THIS IS OLIVER! KENDRA WAS THE BEST OF 6 GROOMERS I HAVE TRIED! Our pup is 8, always comes out shaking and sore from past grooms. Not Today!

We are so pleased with Kendra! What a great experience. Oliver is not the easiest pup to groom, but she worked with him, gave him a break from face trim, called me to ask how I wanted her to proceed...and best of all...Oliver was not a quivering jello when I picked him up! No cuts or bruised tailbone , no snipped eye, (all past groomers)! Yay!!! Hubby says Oliver is only going to Kendra from now on. No more worrying if he is being choked or coming home hurt! She works from home. Nice and warm for the pets. Easy to talk with! Thank you!

My tiny little Meadow (chihuahua yorkie) loves her and is so calm even after the experience.

The Soggy Doggy UP

The Soggy Doggy UP

I feel this establishment does not even deserve 1 star. Here's the reason why…read more... We took our 7-month-old Dachshund puppy, Chewy, to Soggy Doggy yesterday evening for a nail trim shortly before closing time, and unfortunately, the experience was very upsetting for both our puppy and us. During the nail trim, Chewy yelped multiple times in discomfort, which immediately concerned us. What stood out most to me was that the same nail appeared to be trimmed repeatedly several times, and each time Chewy reacted more anxiously and vocally. As a pet owner, I found it difficult to watch, and it left me feeling uncomfortable about the handling process. I understand that puppies can sometimes be nervous during grooming, and nail trims are not always easy. However, we have previously taken Chewy to other grooming establishments, including Petco and PetSmart, for nail trims and have never experienced this level of distress from him before. I was also surprised that during the nail trim, we were asked questions about Chewy's diet and food choices. While I understand businesses may offer additional services or products, I personally felt that the focus at that moment should have remained on carefully completing the nail trim and ensuring our puppy was comfortable and calm. At the end of the appointment, Chewy also left with a noticeable hangnail. We declined the nail buffing add-on service, but even so, I did not expect his nails to be left in that condition after the trim. Overall, this experience left us questioning the level of handling, training, and attention to pet comfort during grooming services. As pet owners, we trust groomers and staff with the safety and well-being of our animals, and unfortunately, this visit did not leave us feeling confident. Because of this experience, we will not be returning with Chewy in the future. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as gentle handling, professionalism, and pet comfort are extremely important, especially with young puppies who are still learning to trust grooming experiences.

I can't believe I haven't written a review yet! Most loving dog owners know how hard it is to find…read morea grooming salon you can truly trust. I found K9 Grooming through Yelp and I'm so glad I did. We drive 30 minutes to get here and I won't lie, the salon is pricey. It usually costs me around $300 with trip for a standard Aussie and mini Aussie regular groom. But it is absolutely worth it. My dogs are my babies. We have a 6-year-old Aussie we've had since he was a puppy, and we recently added our rescue mini Aussie who is now 8. Our rescue has extreme anxiety from her past trauma, including living in a hoarding situation. The team here treats both of our dogs like family. I've never once worried about the way they're cared for. The salon is spotless. Anytime I walk into a grooming place that smells like urine or feces or is chaotic with constant barking, it's an instant red flag for me. K9 Grooming is completely different. It's clean, calm, and you can even watch your dogs being groomed so there's no mystery about how they're treated. Recently our neighbor warned us about fleas in the area, so I called K9 as a concerned pet mom. They were so helpful. They told me they'd start with a regular bath and, if they found any fleas, they'd do the treatment and call us so we could prep the house. Sure enough, they found a few a went forward with the flea bath. They provided me with helpful information and next steps. I sincerely appreciate the level of care, transparency, and customer service the staff provide. I could never take my dogs anywhere else after coming here.

Australian shepherds have very thick double coats, she requires grooming at least every six weeks. From the front desk, all the way back to the groomers they're always so professional, and Mila is always so extremely eager and happy to go there; that says so much. I've had my fair share of very bad grooming experiences, with this very dog. K9 Design Grooming Salon has changed my perspective and Mila's perspective on grooming experiences. We used to live extremely close to the Salon, but we recently bought a house in Olympia and still make the drive! We love K9 Design Grooming!!
