I called and was able to get our dog in and groomed the same day. We live in University Place but, I will gladly travel for the services they provide. Our dog left beautifully groomed and smells wonderful too! I'm so pleased to have finally found the forever groomer! Thank you Ladies!

Took my dorkie (Jenna) (dachshund&yorkie) to this salon for a spa day. It was Jenna's first time getting her hair cut and she is a pretty timid dog. She is literally afraid of her own shadow. Lol. I was nervous about how she would do but when I picked her up they said it took her a couple minutes to relax but once she did she is great. Also.. there was a 6 year old girl there (assuming it's a neighbors daughter) and they said Jenna took to her immediately so they let her stay behind the counter with Jenna. And that little girl stayed by her side and made her feel comfortable. I am so happy they seen what made Jenna feel comfortable and took that extra effort to allow that girl to stay by Jenna's side. I am beyond impressed with this place and I have already recommended them to my family. And I'll be back for Jenna's next hair cut :) Thanks for the amazing service..OHHHH.. and her hair cut turned out so cute!!! Very skilled stylist there :)

Amazing job my pups have never looked so good! Both ladies were so kind and inviting! My dogs have honestly never felt so clean! My German Shepard feels like she has puppy fur again. I have had bad experiences with other groomers such as woofers but I have found an amazing place where I will continue to go and recommend to anyone who wants an amazing groom for their dogs!

I found K9 Grooming through Yelp and I'm so glad I did. We drive 30 minutes to get here and I won't lie, the salon is pricey. It usually costs me around $300 with trip for a standard Aussie and mini Aussie regular groom. But it is absolutely worth it. My dogs are my babies. We have a 6-year-old Aussie we've had since he was a puppy, and we recently added our rescue mini Aussie who is now 8. Our rescue has extreme anxiety from her past trauma, including living in a hoarding situation. The team here treats both of our dogs like family. I've never once worried about the way they're cared for. The salon is spotless. Anytime I walk into a grooming place that smells like urine or feces or is chaotic with constant barking, it's an instant red flag for me. K9 Grooming is completely different. It's clean, calm, and you can even watch your dogs being groomed so there's no mystery about how they're treated. Recently our neighbor warned us about fleas in the area, so I called K9 as a concerned pet mom. They were so helpful. They told me they'd start with a regular bath and, if they found any fleas, they'd do the treatment and call us so we could prep the house. Sure enough, they found a few a went forward with the flea bath. They provided me with helpful information and next steps. I sincerely appreciate the level of care, transparency, and customer service the staff provide. I could never take my dogs anywhere else after coming here.

Australian shepherds have very thick double coats, she requires grooming at least every six weeks. From the front desk, all the way back to the groomers they're always so professional, and Mila is always so extremely eager and happy to go there; that says so much. I've had my fair share of very bad grooming experiences, with this very dog. K9 Design Grooming Salon has changed my perspective and Mila's perspective on grooming experiences. We used to live extremely close to the Salon, but we recently bought a house in Olympia and still make the drive! We love K9 Design Grooming!!

I feel this establishment does not even deserve 1 star. Here's the reason why…read more... We took our 7-month-old Dachshund puppy, Chewy, to Soggy Doggy yesterday evening for a nail trim shortly before closing time, and unfortunately, the experience was very upsetting for both our puppy and us. During the nail trim, Chewy yelped multiple times in discomfort, which immediately concerned us. What stood out most to me was that the same nail appeared to be trimmed repeatedly several times, and each time Chewy reacted more anxiously and vocally. As a pet owner, I found it difficult to watch, and it left me feeling uncomfortable about the handling process. I understand that puppies can sometimes be nervous during grooming, and nail trims are not always easy. However, we have previously taken Chewy to other grooming establishments, including Petco and PetSmart, for nail trims and have never experienced this level of distress from him before. I was also surprised that during the nail trim, we were asked questions about Chewy's diet and food choices. While I understand businesses may offer additional services or products, I personally felt that the focus at that moment should have remained on carefully completing the nail trim and ensuring our puppy was comfortable and calm. At the end of the appointment, Chewy also left with a noticeable hangnail. We declined the nail buffing add-on service, but even so, I did not expect his nails to be left in that condition after the trim. Overall, this experience left us questioning the level of handling, training, and attention to pet comfort during grooming services. As pet owners, we trust groomers and staff with the safety and well-being of our animals, and unfortunately, this visit did not leave us feeling confident. Because of this experience, we will not be returning with Chewy in the future. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as gentle handling, professionalism, and pet comfort are extremely important, especially with young puppies who are still learning to trust grooming experiences.

I was told she was offered a great deal for the rental and some homemade dog treats. Parking was a bit confusing as the parking nearby the business was full and there was a spot that we think was free to use but not sure. As we entered, we were greeted by a staff member who let us in and the space is huge! There were plenty of toys, a dog pool, and little obstacles for dogs to enjoy to their hearts' content! They even have a hose to fill up the pool or just have your dogs chase around. There were little cubbies and lots of areas to hang leashes, coats, and other stuff on. They had Youtube videos playing too. The dog treats were so creative. They had cannoli, biscuits, and much more. All of our dogs seemed to have enjoy the treats greatly, no treats were left behind. All of the dogs seemed to be enjoying themselves as they just had so much to do or other dogs to play with. Definitely look forward to coming back here to throw future dog parties as our group loves to do little events for our fur babies.

It made me wonder about the ratio balance between humans vs dogs. I had dropped my dog off for a behavioral assessment, as we have trips coming up and I'm looking for boarding care. This is not where I'm personally comfortable leaving my pup, as the ratio seemed to be 1 human to 15 or 20 dogs in an indoor-only, less than 1500sq foot space. The good news is they are so kind and nice humans, if I was rating them they'd earn 5+++ stars as I'd leave my dog in their care anytime! The problem I had was the physical space (super tiny!) and the ratio of dogs, as they allowed 3 or 4 pups to greet my dog while 15 or so were in a hallway-type space patiently waiting and sooooo well-behaved, to greet and play. The space for playing is very limited, about 1/2 the size of a classroom, and while it's clean and the staff are super lovely, it's probably not the best fit for our pup who loves to play fetch and run. Parking is also super tricky in this neighborhood, as there isn't a parking lot or spaces reserved for the business.

Our cat can have a bit of an attitude, what cat can't, but the staff at Paw Spa must be miracle workers because they groomed her no problem! She has gotten a "lion cut" both times and done very well. Both times the cut has been stellar with no missed spots. She came home smelling fresh with her claws trimmed. Was she a little mad at me? Sure. I chalk that up to being a cat in the 21st century. Paw Spa also passed the smell test. I have walked into so many animal centric shops that smell either like poop or industrial cleaner. This place smelled like shampoo and happy puppy. Or annoyed cat, as the case may be. As long as they are grooming cats, we won't be taking our little devil anywhere else!

We were told that the groomer who normally does mini schnauzers had left and someone else would groom our dogs. That person apparently had no idea how to groom a schnauzer. The boy had his beard shaved completely, but little tufts of fur were left sticking up on top of his snout. It's horrifying. Leave a schnauzer, get back a rat terrier. The girl dog lost her eyebrows. Looks weird, all I can say. It's generally at least a year for the beard to grow back and it'll probably take me that long to calm down. They'll never go back there again.
