Took my 4 year old Sapsali to The Bath House Pet Salon today. They're located in one of the buildings on a family farm. Great location, btw... Cassie (the dog) has hard, jet black toenails that are hard to cut and light silky hair that is extremely prone to matting. She also get nervous, hates water and doesn't like her feet touched. I took my 13 year old golden doodle in for an overdue grooming, and they did a fantastic job at a very reasonable price. She smells so good and looks beautiful, and best of all, they took special care with my senior girl and let her lounge on a comfy bed while they groomed her. I'm so happy I found The Bath House. After leaving my dog in pet boarding for a few weeks I returned to find him a matted tangled mess. I immediately call my neighborhood Petsmart as I do often for an appointment. I brought my dog the next day for the appointment to be told that they would not groom him because my dog required more attention. No apology not willingness to rebook at that moment. I left and called several pet smarts all of which were booked. I started to call private groomers and ran across The Bath House. I've been going to Petsmart for year's and I would often complain about the service, the Bath House Pet Salon was a breath of fresh air. I was greeted kindly and my dog was off. Took my dorkie (Jenna) (dachshund&yorkie) to this salon for a spa day. It was Jenna's first time getting her hair cut and she is a pretty timid dog. She is literally afraid of her own shadow. Lol. I was nervous about how she would do but when I picked her up they said it took her a couple minutes to relax but once she did she is great. Also.. there was a 6 year old girl there (assuming it's a neighbors daughter) and they said Jenna took to her immediately so they let her stay behind the counter with Jenna. And that little girl stayed by her side and made her feel comfortable. I am so happy they seen what made Jenna feel comfortable and took that extra effort to allow that girl to stay by Jenna's side. I am beyond impressed with this place and I have already recommended them to my family. I have been here on two separate occasions. Both experiences were very positive. I have a special needs pooch (A rescued deaf who was beaten and abused and has two recently repaired ACL hind legs). Staff (Especially Theresa who is the owner I believe) is exceptional. They went out of their way to help groom my pooch (Wesley) and did so in a very special and gentle way. I am very grateful that The Bath House Salon is located so close. However, even if it were located further from my home I would still take my pets here. I was trying to find a cheaper alternative to my current groomer, who charges $30 (bath, ear cleaning and nails) - guess I will just appreciate what I have. read more

I have taken her to various dog grooming facilities all around the Puyallup, Edgewood, Sumner, and Lake Tapps areas and have experienced very inconsistent service. When a family member recommended The Bath House, I gave it a try and have been coming here ever since. Just around my neck of the woods, always drove by it but because they're only open Monday thru Friday e couldn't really use them. Called my groomer and she told me they couldn't fit my boys in till the middle of July so I decided to call this place. They were easy to reach and the lady was pleasant on the phone and said she could get my boys in same day if I wanted. So decided to give them a try. It was only a less than 5 minutes drive from me. Easy drop off since I already talked to her about what I wanted for my two mini Aussies. Got them back in about 3 1/2 hours. They were groomed not as shiny as I would have liked but not bad and they didn't really smell like a powder fresh puppy like they normally do when they come back from my other groomer but they did the job. I will definitely use them again as a back up. Just -1 star because they're not open on the weekends. I just happened to be off today. read more
