Ok, I'm new to this whole Yelp review thing but I HAD to get on here to rave about this place. Every time we come Mike and Sharon are so sweet and helpful. My dog has smelled to the high heavens but every time we leave he always has the shiniest, nicest smelling coat. We will continue to use their Self Dog Wash for as long as they stay open. OH! Did I forget to mention they have a rewards program where your able to earn a complete visit for free! 5/5!

Sharon is so wonderful and patient, and sweet, and caring, and just genuinely a decent human being. I can't thank her enough for her work with sweet baby BooBoos. She did flawless work on a less than cooperative subject, she was kind and understanding and went above and beyond in her interactions with me as well. I will detail the story below but in case you don't feel like reading my novel, I'll summarize here. Only go to Mutt Puddles (such a cute name btw) if you want to receive superior service all around. Only go it if you want to interact with real, warm, down to earth people who truly care about you and your pets. Only go if you want to get your baby back looking perfect and more adorable than ever and also calm and secure unlike you have ever seen them before. If you want anything other than top-notch service, I suggest you go elsewhere. Hahah! Of course, we all want those things, so GO TO MUTT PUDDLES!! Give it a try already! I work with a VERY small rescue in the area and had a terribly matted Shih Tzu who was just rescued from a puppy mill. He was completely unsocialized, scared of everyone, would not willingly let anyone touch him at that point. But his mats were clearly painful and all over his body, not to mention the urine and feces and who knows what else that was covering his fur. I brought the little guy in as a complete mess. A few nervous and concerned for both parties hours later, I get the call that he's ready. Holy transformation! I didn't even recognize him!! He was shaved down beautifully, bathed and emanating a much more bearable smell, and even had a cute little bandana on! I could tell IMMEDIATELY that he was so much more comfortable and could have cried right there. But the awesomeness continues. In the few hours she had with him, she did not try to suppress or ignore or rush around any anxiety attacks he had (and my guess is that he had many). She learned how to work with him in his moments of sheer terror and help him calm down and see her as an ally rather than a scary enemy. She shared with me what she found that worked for her had it was invaluable information. She gave me hope that he might actually trust someone in the near future. (And he absolutely did!). She also told me of a mixture that would help get the stinky crustys off his feet that were just embedded and stuck for a good while. Thanks to that concoction, his feet are no longer stinky or crusty and have even lost much of the gross brown stain that I was sure was there to stay. And lastly, she was so gracious when it came to a little financial issue that I could not have blamed her for not proceeding at all as a result. The director of the rescue was supposed to call in with a credit card # to prepay the grooming service. We were unable to get ahold of her for the entirety of the appointment. Not only did Sharon proceed with the grooming, but she also wasn't upset or anything afterward and let me leave with BooBoos confident that we would get ahold of the director for payment. I felt so bad leaving without payment, I even offered to pay with my own card and she declined my offer! I can't tell you how much that meant as this foster business is EXPENSIVE! And that was an expense I was not prepared for. I think she saw the panic on my face and put humanity before monetary gain and for that, I will always have the utmost respect for her. We, of course, got the bill paid that day and all was right with the universe. But her kindness and generosity throughout the whole experience was almost a shock because I do not encounter such things, ever, really. I can't imagine going anywhere else for any grooming/bathing/pampering needs. Not only is Sharon amazing herself, but she is also an amazing groomer as well. He came out evenly shaved! That is a feat that will forever elude me because he can be quite the wiggly worm. But he looked impeccable! So handsome! He's grown out quite a bit so I foresee a visit not too far in the future. Thankfully, no mats this time! I cannot thank you enough, from the bottom of my heart.

My dog rolled around in some fertilizer while I was in town looking at places to live. I was in a bit of a panic when I googled the nearest dog wash service and Mutt Puddles popped up! From the moment I arrived, Mike, was very friendly and accommodating. I was able to clean my pup (twice) and really enjoyed my time at this beautiful, intimate establishment! Thank you!!! Hope to be back soon...

I found K9 Grooming through Yelp and I'm so glad I did. We drive 30 minutes to get here and I won't lie, the salon is pricey. It usually costs me around $300 with trip for a standard Aussie and mini Aussie regular groom. But it is absolutely worth it. My dogs are my babies. We have a 6-year-old Aussie we've had since he was a puppy, and we recently added our rescue mini Aussie who is now 8. Our rescue has extreme anxiety from her past trauma, including living in a hoarding situation. The team here treats both of our dogs like family. I've never once worried about the way they're cared for. The salon is spotless. Anytime I walk into a grooming place that smells like urine or feces or is chaotic with constant barking, it's an instant red flag for me. K9 Grooming is completely different. It's clean, calm, and you can even watch your dogs being groomed so there's no mystery about how they're treated. Recently our neighbor warned us about fleas in the area, so I called K9 as a concerned pet mom. They were so helpful. They told me they'd start with a regular bath and, if they found any fleas, they'd do the treatment and call us so we could prep the house. Sure enough, they found a few a went forward with the flea bath. They provided me with helpful information and next steps. I sincerely appreciate the level of care, transparency, and customer service the staff provide. I could never take my dogs anywhere else after coming here.

Australian shepherds have very thick double coats, she requires grooming at least every six weeks. From the front desk, all the way back to the groomers they're always so professional, and Mila is always so extremely eager and happy to go there; that says so much. I've had my fair share of very bad grooming experiences, with this very dog. K9 Design Grooming Salon has changed my perspective and Mila's perspective on grooming experiences. We used to live extremely close to the Salon, but we recently bought a house in Olympia and still make the drive! We love K9 Design Grooming!!

We took our 7-month-old Dachshund puppy, Chewy, to Soggy Doggy yesterday evening for a nail trim shortly before closing time, and unfortunately, the experience was very upsetting for both our puppy and us. During the nail trim, Chewy yelped multiple times in discomfort, which immediately concerned us. What stood out most to me was that the same nail appeared to be trimmed repeatedly several times, and each time Chewy reacted more anxiously and vocally. As a pet owner, I found it difficult to watch, and it left me feeling uncomfortable about the handling process. I understand that puppies can sometimes be nervous during grooming, and nail trims are not always easy. However, we have previously taken Chewy to other grooming establishments, including Petco and PetSmart, for nail trims and have never experienced this level of distress from him before. I was also surprised that during the nail trim, we were asked questions about Chewy's diet and food choices. While I understand businesses may offer additional services or products, I personally felt that the focus at that moment should have remained on carefully completing the nail trim and ensuring our puppy was comfortable and calm. At the end of the appointment, Chewy also left with a noticeable hangnail. We declined the nail buffing add-on service, but even so, I did not expect his nails to be left in that condition after the trim. Overall, this experience left us questioning the level of handling, training, and attention to pet comfort during grooming services. As pet owners, we trust groomers and staff with the safety and well-being of our animals, and unfortunately, this visit did not leave us feeling confident. Because of this experience, we will not be returning with Chewy in the future. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as gentle handling, professionalism, and pet comfort are extremely important, especially with young puppies who are still learning to trust grooming experiences.

I was told she was offered a great deal for the rental and some homemade dog treats. Parking was a bit confusing as the parking nearby the business was full and there was a spot that we think was free to use but not sure. As we entered, we were greeted by a staff member who let us in and the space is huge! There were plenty of toys, a dog pool, and little obstacles for dogs to enjoy to their hearts' content! They even have a hose to fill up the pool or just have your dogs chase around. There were little cubbies and lots of areas to hang leashes, coats, and other stuff on. They had Youtube videos playing too. The dog treats were so creative. They had cannoli, biscuits, and much more. All of our dogs seemed to have enjoy the treats greatly, no treats were left behind. All of the dogs seemed to be enjoying themselves as they just had so much to do or other dogs to play with. Definitely look forward to coming back here to throw future dog parties as our group loves to do little events for our fur babies.

It made me wonder about the ratio balance between humans vs dogs. I had dropped my dog off for a behavioral assessment, as we have trips coming up and I'm looking for boarding care. This is not where I'm personally comfortable leaving my pup, as the ratio seemed to be 1 human to 15 or 20 dogs in an indoor-only, less than 1500sq foot space. The good news is they are so kind and nice humans, if I was rating them they'd earn 5+++ stars as I'd leave my dog in their care anytime! The problem I had was the physical space (super tiny!) and the ratio of dogs, as they allowed 3 or 4 pups to greet my dog while 15 or so were in a hallway-type space patiently waiting and sooooo well-behaved, to greet and play. The space for playing is very limited, about 1/2 the size of a classroom, and while it's clean and the staff are super lovely, it's probably not the best fit for our pup who loves to play fetch and run. Parking is also super tricky in this neighborhood, as there isn't a parking lot or spaces reserved for the business.
