We called kennedy electric to move our dryer outlet over to the other side of our laundry room. He came out the next day and did that but also found some unconnected LIVE wires in our attic and fixed them immediately for free. COREY was very good at telling us what we were paying for and how the wires became a hazard to start with. We called this company and had a much better experience. We had just bought a new house and all of the plugs and switches were not working. He fix everything and finished when he said he would. We had another guy before him and he (I wont mention his name) kept changing his price and wasn't being up front. So a friend told me to try calling another company and this one was much more straight forward and ended up being less. I thought he did a good job, zero complaints from me. We found Corey on yelp and given all the great reviews, we called for an estimate for an outdoor lighting project. He came out the same day, gave a thoughtful estimate right then and explained everything. We liked that he did all the work himself and did not delegate it to a lesser skilled crew, which has happened with most electricians we've used. His bid was very reasonable and less than the other bid we received for the same project. He was very thorough and knowledgeable of all code requirements, and worked very hard to promptly complete what turned out to be a complicated project. I called two other companies and One said it would be a 3 day job. The other company said 2 days but their price was also a lot higher than what we had in our budget. After reading the previous reviews and always preferring to hire local independent business establishments I contacted Kennedy Electric. I needed a ceiling fan installed and 4 upgraded energy efficient outdoor security lights to be installed. Unfortunately, my experience was not as positive as the previous reviews. First Corey told me he would not be able to do most of the job unless I could get someone to place the ladder I provided in position for him to do the work. (He does not carry his own ladders and had some sort of rotor cup shoulder injury). First, he installed the ceiling fan but was not immediately able to get it to work, but was then able to figure out that some wires were loose and got it going. Second, he installed one of the four replacement security lights, the one he could easily reach, but was not able to get it to turn on and asked me to try the breakers when I got a chance. He left the breaker box open and loose. The second electrician, (different company), who came the next day to install the remaining three lights simply flipped the outdoor wall switch and wonder of wonders, the light came on. Maybe it was just a bad day for Corey or he was just off his game but I prefer to hire professional people who come ready and able to tackle the job. On a positive note, his prices are very competitive and reasonable. read more

Called Corey last Sunday since I had lost power to more than half of my house. The call initially went to his voice message as it was a Sunday; however, he called me back within 10 minutes. He indicated that he would be able to come out within an hour or so which he showed up about one and half hours later. He diagnosed the issue to be the power companies issues within a few minutes and informed me on what to indicate to the power company so that they were aware that I had already contacted an electrician.
