I'm very disappointed with my overall experience with Edicine. I called the front office to schedule an appointment yesterday for a lingering cough at 1:45pm and she said she didn't have anything available until after 3pm. After talking to her for a few minutes she told me to head over as she'd squeeze me in at 2pm. When I arrived, there were no patients waiting in the lobby which seemed weird that she made it seem like they were fully booked. Nonetheless, the check in process was fast and I was grateful to get in so quickly. The front office staff member took copies of my DL and insurance card, charged my card for payment and a few mins after I was taken back. The appointment was very brief; the doctor checked my vitals, throat and ears and wrote a prescription for antibiotics. The medical assistant asked for my preferred pharmacy and I gave her the cross roads. I received a voicemail this morning from THE WRONG PHARMACY 20 minutes away from where I live... stating the prescription needed prior authorization and had not been filled due to insurance issues. I called Edicine and left a voicemail as soon as their office opened explaining that I needed a different prescription sent out to the Walgreens by my house and stated the address in full, including my full name, DOB and call back number. I have called Edicine 6 times today and have not heard back from anyone. I'm going out of town tomorrow morning and it feels like a complete waste of time and money getting seen by their facility when they completely screwed up the most important part. I'm extremely frustrated to say the least. read more

I have called multiple times trying to explain the incorrect coding on a telemedicine call that lasted 2 minutes. It is being coded as 9921495 which is for a 25 minutes appointment. Your office staff are extremely unprofessional. read more

This was a clean, efficient, professional practice. I had a positive experience from the reception to the nurse to the doctor. I went in not feeling well and had a short wait time, excellent care, a great doctor who took the time to listen and diagnose the issue. I highly recommend care here. read more

Office manager is rude and prefers hyperbole and deflection over taking ownership of administrative failures and helping patients solve problems. I don't know if this is a defense mechanism to hide incompetence or simply a miserable disposition, but there have been multiple breakdowns over the last two years (billing errors, referrals never sent, files lost, etc.) and not once has she stepped up to be part of the solution. I'm sure it is difficult to juggle the team when the primary physician is splitting time in multiple locations, but there never seems to be a desire to improve or any acknowledgement of customer service failures. Only denials and unprofessional communication. This is disappointing because Dr. Morrison is exceptional physician and takes great care during visits to give patients the time they need to ask questions and feel involved in their care. My limited interaction with Tory has also been good. I would still recommend this practice for basic family care or sick visits, but you may want to consider another practice if you have any complicated health needs or desire attentive, open communication when the physician is unavailable. read more

Customer service is lacking!! I have pneumonia symptoms and called to see a doc and was told I couldn't. My only option was a Telemed appt and that would be fine except how does a doc diagnose pneumonia or a lung infection over a call? The assistant was argumentative when I questioned her and told me I have CoVId. I do not and went around in circles for a bit but when the rubber meets the road I would never use this walk in clinic. They profess to be internal medicine doctors but before CoVId they met with ill people. Go elsewhere! Not worth the attitude and political nature of the front desk. read more

As always my visit goes as planned with no hiccups... Dr Lawrence and her team are top notch in all their fields. Their service is effortless in all respect's, I have a brain injury as the result of a motorcycle accident in 2019 and after spending 3 months in a coma and additional 6 plus months in the hospital and rehabilitation things are not clear for me. During my appointments with Dr Lawrence I'm treated like a normal person with that being said I'm extremely comfortable there which in turn provides me with a higher level to understand my surroundings and my medical reviews with the Doctor and the staff at Edicen. I am confident with stating, Edicen are and will continue to provide me with my needed follow up care. Keep up the fantastic medical and community service. Michael read more

On June 19th I booked an appointment with Dr. Morrison through Zocdoc which had him available for appointments as well as listed as a surgical dermatologist which I later found out is not correct. What happened upon my arrival was nothing short of an unbelievable and horrid treatment of a new patient. I arrived to my appointment almost half an hour early assuming I would have a bucket load of paperwork to fill out as a new patient. I checked in by saying I had an appointment at 3pm with Dr. Morrison, the receptionist gave me paperwork without a word, I filled out new patient docs, and then waited for about 20 minutes PAST my appointment time to be taken back. The nurse who took me back took my height and weight, and then we went into an exam room where I had my blood pressure, oxygen level, temperature, and heart rate taken. All standard procedure. I then was told to wait and did so for another half hour. It was now closer to 4pm when my appointment was at 3pm. After waiting patiently a knock comes on the door. To my surprise a female nurse walks in instead of Dr. Morrison who is a man. No issues there, but I was utterly confused. I explained I was expecting someone else "lol" and she tells me that Dr. Morrison isn't actually here. She asks me what I have come in for which to my knowledge should have already been listed on my appointment as well as my new patient docs, but I explain anyway. I have had a thorn or maybe a metal splinter stuck in my hand for what must be a year now. Usually these things go away but this one has been very stubborn and so after trying to fix it myself and give it time I finally decided to go in and have a pro excise it. No infection or anything major. Just a hard red bump on my palm that I have been unable to deal with on my own. I also wanted to get some other skin related things looked at that were minor and I thought I could do all in one fell swoop, but my hand was my main purpose for coming. The nurse practitioner didn't even touch or examine my hand. She quickly explained that she was not experienced in any type of surgery whether minor or not and that she didn't feel comfortable performing anything on me. She explained she was just filling in for Dr. Morrison and she just got called in this morning to work. Supposedly they had called me but I have no missed call, no voicemail, no email, and no zocdoc update. Even my text and email updates confirmed my appt with Dr. Morrison this morning! She then explains that she specializes in OBGYN related work and she thinks it would be better to scratch this appointment all together and reschedule, but that as a last ditch effort she would ask one of the other nurses about it before I left. Ok. Fine. She leaves the room for about 5-10 minutes and then comes back alone. Then she proceeds to tell me that the other nurse just says to go get x-rays first and come back for another appointment. That nurse didn't even come in the room and look at my hand. So how would you even know if I need x-rays. Plus the bump is so tiny what would xrays even show? I'm not just going to pay for x-rays just so you can get me out of the office as an excuse for not being prepared for my appointment... So I said I would rather take her up on the first option and we both agree that it's best to just start over and wait until i can see Dr. Morrison. She then leaves the room again and comes back with a billing sheet filled out that I'm supposed to give the front desk. The office manager had decided to charge me for a full "level 2" visit even though I didn't get seen by the doctor as scheduled for almost 3 weeks. I take the paper and ask at the front. She proceeds to speak to me from her desk behind the receptionist and behind a wall, refuses to make eye contact with me, and keeps pretending to do other tasks while being passive aggressive. I asked her why they wanted me to pay a full appt for something I didn't even receive. She responds with "you were seen". I told her I would not pay for something I didn't receive and that this was far from fair given the circumstances. I asked her if she thought this was fair to which she replied "you were seen". OMG... so I proposed: 1. I pay for today but it gets applied to a new appt with the actual doctor. Or 2. I pay for what was done (new patient add + vitals) which should be no more than $75 even at the most expensive office. She tells me I have to pay the full amount now or they will send it to collections! Ha! Lady you are a piece of work. After what felt like battling for my life I paid $71.85 which was going to be $113 (50% off of normal cause I am self pay) had I not said anything, but should have been $0! Dr. Morrison, I understand things come up but you and your office completely dropped the ball on my appointment. And lady, thanks for treating me like complete sh*t instead of owning up and attempting to fix the situation. I won't be back. read more

Like other reviews I have seen, the office manager and the nickel and dime fees are what has made this office unbearable. Tory Ford was the best PA and since she left, the place has turned into garbage. I called Monday for a med refill and never got a response (not the first time this has happened). I specifically called early because they have frequently not responded and/or sent in the wrong med refill. I called again today, only to be told I had to come in the office for a med refill even though this medication was just prescribed for me in May and I have refilled it since with no issue. When I get in there, the front office girl (who was very very nice) told me I had a balance to pay. She got the office manager to come explain. First, they are apparently charging patients a "covid" fee for any one who was seen between last year and April 30 of this year. I was seen but not for covid or anything even related. Apparently the patients are responsible for paying for the office staff to wear extra gloves and masks. Then I supposedly had a "no show" fee, despite the fact that I had called in time to cancel that appointment. They did take that one off after I explained that but then office manager proceeded to have an attitude and tell me that they had once had to send me to collections (i have ZERO knowledge of this) sometime last year and their policy is not to see people again as if they were doing me a favor by seeing me. At this point, I did become mouthy and explained that I shouldn't even be there for a simple med refill and I drive from farther away because I always loved Tory but since she left, that place went down hill. I even admit to using a swear word. At this point the office manager cancelled my appointment and sent me away for "disrespecting her staff." I explained that I wasn't disrespecting her staff, I was "disrespecting" their billing process. I even apologized for using said word. I never mouth off to people but her attitude towards me sent me off. I can admit that swearing was out of line. The CNA and the office receptionist were there and I made sure to say to both of them what a good job that they did. So now I was turned away without getting my refill and I am out of this medication. Last time I checked, it was illegal to turn people away medically for money but I don't honestly know the legalities. All I do know is I am disgusted, I will never go there again and I used to rave about them. I brought quite a few people to that office, but I will never again send people to such a dishonest place. read more

This office is unprofessional and rude all at the same time. Patients are required to pay an office visit fee every visit on a debit card (not including the co-pay which is another fee on top of that) and do not call to update when visits need to be rescheduled. I spent over an hour and a half in traffic to make my appointment on time, to find out the doctor left early that day. On top of that, they wanted to charge me a "no show" fee although I was present for the appointment when the doctor wasn't. I will not be revisiting this office. The last thing anyone wants to deal with when they're sick and need help, is bad attitudes and eye rolling from the staff. DO NOT RECOMMEND! read more

My husband I came to Edicine for urgent care two days in a row, me for vertigo and my husband for severe neck pain. Tory treated me for the cause of the vertigo (probably allergies and sinus swelling), and spent time educating a Washingtonian snowbirding her first year about allergens in the desert and daily care at home. My husband also received what he needed for pain relief when we visited Edicine again the following day. When we asked for a PT recommendation, Tory was able to direct us to a PT in the same complex, who saw my husband two days later. Very convenient. Tory spent quite a bit of time with both of us, which was much appreciated. My husband was in quite a bit of pain and unable to sit down in the lobby. After he began to feel light-headed I asked whether they could take him back to a room. One of the medical assistants did check his vitals at that point but didn't seem to be in tune with his severe level of pain. Another medical assistant seemed to be more aware, and offered him water. I would urge Edicine to invest in an online system for patient notes and care plans. They seem to be a bit behind the times. Getting handwritten notes on a standard treatment form and needing to ask that injections received also be noted wasn't ideal. With our care at home we are used to having the provider take notes and order prescriptions on a computer, then immediately print out instructions for home care as well as a record of the visit. read more

AWFUL AWFUL PLACE. Stay away. Nurse Practitioner gave me a prescription one month, the next month I talked to the other Dr, and he said she should have never given you that, it could have really been dangerous. Are you kidding me!! My son needed his asthma inhaler filled and because of COVID-19 asked if they could call it in. They said no, you have to come in or we can get you in over the phone in a week. Thank God for caring Dr.s and one did a Zoom with him same day with him being a new patient. Billing is a joke, never got a bill and then sent me to collections. When I did a get a bill, Sherry the office manager told me we mailed that by mistake, sorry nothing I can do. I called the collections agency, super nice, paid bill the same day I go the bill from Edicine. they put nothing on my credit report. thank God. Place is a money hungry joke with Dr.s who are uncaring and clueless. read more

I have seen Nurse Practitioner Tory Ford and she has been so attentive and proactive. She is smart and friendly. The staff is always welcoming and kind. I highly recommend this office. My experience there has always been excellent, curing my medical problems quickly. read more

Was not happy with my visit a couple months back for my son. Took him in for a painful canker sore inside his mouth and she told me it was a cold sore. I told her cold sores are on the outside of the mouth only and that his is on the inside and a classic canker sore. She than told me canker sores and cold sores are the same thing..... and thats when I knew I was dealing with someone that didn't know what she was talking about. I asked for her to show me documents supporting her claim and she could not. I will never go back here. read more

Worst experience in health care ever. In short, took a foreign exchange student to get a covid release form to permit him to play high school football after having covid. Took him here, REGRETTABLY, because easy in that across the street, but also because receptionist assured BOTH of us TWICE that all he had to pay was the same $6 about which others (on this and other sites) who have gone to Edicine have complained. MONTHS after he left the country, they sent a $172 bill, that included what his foreign exchange health insurance didn't cover. I called and told them the only way the could contact him was through WhatsApp. They never contacted him and instead turned me, as his not legally bound "host mother" over to a collections agency. AND they did this despite the fact they had his authorization to charge HIS credit card if any extra fees were to have come about although, again, the receptionist assured BOTH of us TWICE that that was not to happen. I should have taken him to my PC at Mayo. This business, AND the "office manager" Victoria are awful. Likewise, while she claims she sent me multiple bills, starting when the foreign exchange student was still living with us (at which point of time both of us could have handled the situation), she has sent NO COPIES, that is NO PROOF, of such bills. She has sent nothing after, now, four phone call attempts and nothing in return by mail or by phone. This, too, is a legal matter in that all patients have a legal right to have access to their full files, especially when dealing with a collections agency. Victoria has denied that right. Even after multiple, and also failed attempts to contact Dr. Andrew Morrison - the doctor in charge of the office - I have still gotten nowhere with anyone from Edicine on this matter. I made an appointment to establish care as a new patient. I met with Tory the nurse practitioner there. She is fantastic. She took a lot of time with me, really listened to what I had to say and gave me very good medical advice. I have had severe allergies for years. Never have had any good medication prescribed. She gave me two new ones and they are incredibly helpful. I've never had this kind of relief. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed chatting with them before my appointment. As a retired RN I would highly recommend her for all of your medical care! read more

Me, my two son's, and my oldest son's girlfriend have all been patients of Edicine's and all have had nothing but good experiences. The front desk staff was very friendly and a good first impression of the office. The medical assistant is also very friendly and attentive. Kris the phlebotomist is also exceptional, through my lab experiences she has never made a mistake and always makes me feel comfortable. The office manger on our first visit was not ideal, but Victoria has changed the practice around drastically. She always answers any questions we may have, makes an effort to interact with us every visit and feel welcome unlike Sheri. Lisa Lloyd is very friendly and you can tell she is passionate about what she does. She is always willing to help out even if it is the end of the day and she has to stay late. I would recommend Edicine for both family medicine as well as urgent care as we have used it for both occasions! read more

Unethical billing practices. I went here for urgent care on my back because it was the closest urgent care on my insurance companies website that was "in network". The visit was fine, but months later they hit my credit card for what I believed to be a double bill and when I contacted their office manager, she said "what you paid on the date of service was 'outside of insurance' and now you are paying what the insurance will allow". None of that was disclosed to me on the date of service and she basically just admitted that they don't like what the insurance allows for certain things, so they collect it directly. That's not how being a contracted provider with an insurance company is supposed to work. Even if they had disclosed it on the date of service, it's a dirty trick. You are going to be out for the office visit anyway and add, "if you want the pain to go away, you have to pay this in cash outside of insurance". Save yourself the frustration and find another place for urgent care of general care. read more

Amazing care! I've always been able to get same day appointments when needed. Tory is awesome, and is always willing to sit and listen for as long as you need questions answered & is great at explaining what she thinks needs to happen. Also, the medical assistant has done a great job drawing labs each time, and has yet to not achieve getting all labs on the first attempt (which is pretty good for my veins). Truly happy with my care here, i have a pretty complex medical situation and I came to Tory after shuffling around from primary care docs, this clinic was a much needed breath of fresh air! Referrals get done on time, same day appointments, same day blood work & radiology (in office), it doesn't get better than this! read more

Great practitioner. Actually engaged with me! Included me in her plan of care and never rushed. I have had horrible hip pain and after she administered a steroid injection (done very well) the absence of pain was remarkable. She thinks outside the box and is not afraid to offer treatments other providers may have overlooked. Her medical assistant and staff are awesome. So glad I found her. read more
