Bedside manner has gone completely down. I called to make the appointment, I was asked if I wanted to come in that same day as she had a cancellation. I said yes, thank you. When I saw the Dr, she said "you were squeezed in to my schedule" today. Huh?!? I bet I was in the exam room with her for a total of 5-7 minutes. I felt rushed and she couldn't even say goodbye, hope you feel better, nothing. I didn't say that her receptionist said she had a cancellation and could put me in, but she probably already knew that. Front office (whoever answers the phone) are downright rude everytime. I will be switching doctors, as every call is unpleasant. Someone needs to give the front desk people some communication skills. Just had a follow up and they wanted me to fill out all the forms AGAIN! I'm done with them! If you want a pleasant office experience, you are NOT going to get it at their practice. read more

Front desk staff was very helpful, check-in was quick! After looking for a good doctor for years, I am so blessed that I finally found her! Dr. Mohan actually respectfully listens to your symptoms and works with you. I take comfort in the fact that she doesn't dismiss you and brush off your concerns. My husband went in twice over a week to discuss sleep issues and they charged him an extra $50 each visit for "emergency care." These were not emergency care visits. He was never told he would be charged for emergency care that our insurance won't cover. Then he tried to talk to someone in the office about it, and they transferred him to a voicemail that apparently no one ever checks or responds to. He's called several times and the person in the office is so uncaring, she simply transfers him to the voicemail after he's asked her not to. We will never visit this office again. read more

I'm dumbfounded by some of the ratings. I've gone to Dr. Mohan for 15 years, and have had the following experiences: 1. Dr. Mohan is wonderful - consistently professional, knowledgeable and an excellent doctor. 2. I have found her office staff, including the receptionists, to also be very professional and helpful. 3. Her nurse practitioners have also been extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I have received excellent treatment from them as well. 4. My daughter also started going to Dr. Mohan, and has had nothing but positive experiences with both her and her staff. read more

After 8 years as patients, my wife and I are done. Dr. Mohan is great, but the front office staff is horrid and often rude. We just spent 20 minutes on hold trying to book an appointment, and then went to voicemail. Why not go to voicemail right away and save the 20 minutes? Fortunately, we have some left over antibiotics around, so we'll skip the Dr, or go to wallgreens clinic where the wait times are reasonable. Yes - the front office staff has become that bad! Prescriptions often get sent to the wrong pharmacy as well - we have to make sure it goes to the right one when we're at the office, or it goes to the one near our old house even though we've updated with them several times. Orders for tests (such as mammograms, x-rays, etc...) are never sent to the provider. My wife just decided to skip this year's mammogram rather than wait on hold for another 1/2 hour to have the order ignored again. Dr Mohan - reduce your patient count or beef up your staff. We've been long time patients, but are switching due to these problems. read more

I was seen by Dr. Mohan in Sep 2013 for a cough, when I went in, she made me blow into a machine and basically wrote me a script for a zpac. I started to tell her about our last appointment ongoing problem still occuring since March 2013, but she immediately brushed me off abruptly and said she has no time to discuss this, i would have to make another appointment. It was a total unprofessional manner. I will not be returning to her, though I recently heard that Dr. Kathy DeMarco ocassinally works there, who is an outstanding PA. She is caring and awesome from several past experiences. Another thing is that make sure that whatever test they do in the office is completely covered. read more

I have been a patient of Seema Mohan M.D. for four years. During that time, I have learned to appreciate how talented and caring my primary care physician is. Happily, I have had no serious health issues recently. This is to some extent due to Dr. Mohan's proactive approach to dealing with her patients. She has made excellent use of lab tests and other diagnostic procedures to assure I stay healthy and vital. Dr. Mohan's office is as close to paperless as I have seen. When I visit her, she has a computer at her side and refers to it regularly in dealing with my questions. She has communicated with my specialists in a cooperative manner, always focusing on my best interest. These specialists have given me only positive feedback on Dr. Mohan. Whether it is a reminder to get my flu shot or her prodding me to take the latest and most effective shingles vaccine, Dr. Mohan is always on top of the latest healthcare advances. Dr. Mohan is direct, very focused and is an excellent diagnostician. She has a quick mind, and gives clear and concise answers to patients' questions. Not far beneath her professional demeanor is a deeply caring and compassionate doctor who takes her patients' concerns and problems to heart. If you are looking for a physician who has a broad knowledge of her profession and genuinely cares about her patients, you owe it to yourself to consider Dr. Mohan. . read more

I've been seeing Dr. Seema Mohan for 2 years now. She is an excellent doctor - very thorough and she actually listens to you to determine how best to treat what's going on. A shocker I know - there are very few primary care doctor's I've come across that fit this profile. Definitely worth a visit, even with the distance to Carefree. Most of my extended family was going to Dr. Mohan...no longer. The terrible attitude getting an appointment and the complete lack of follow-up when seriously sick, has forced us to go elsewhere. They do not provide an easy way to contact the doctor with a question. On two occasions I called with a question and did not get a call back. I know of other doctors that allow text messaging direct to the doctor and they reply promptly. With a serious illness I tried to reschedule an appointment to no avail. The help in the office is rude and gets crucial things wrong like the location where my CT scan was booked. Additionally, they provide no automatic reminders for annual physicals. After going too the same doctor in Oregon for 30 years i found Dr Mohans office when I moved to AZ. I have nothing but good to say about my experiences. I've unfortunately had a series of health issues. So I'm a frequent visitor. Doctor Mohan, the PA and NP are always very thorough and now have a cardiologist once a month. I've had sudden problems and always Been able to get in immediately. Dr Mohan discusses her patients visits with the PA and NP and I've often gotten phone calls to return for immediate follow up after her review. My elderly mother was visiting from Oregon and had a nasty fall. She went to the ER then I brought her for follow up. She didn't bring any of her Medicare or insurance info. Dr Mohan treated her and said we will figure out the insurance later. And they still ask how she is every time I visit I'm happy with the practice. If people are happy they generally don't post. My wife and I went to Dr. Seema Mohan when our current doc turned his practice into concierge medicine, a recommendation. To begin with it was over two and one-half months before we even met Mohan. They palmed us off on a nurse practitioner for everything until we needed a full physical. Not even a courtesy welcome to the practice. The NP was uncommunicative, did not follow up on an app. by leaving me hanging on whether or not to continue a medication. A call to the office resulted in a week's wait for an answer. This same NP made a Medicare billing mistake taking six months and numerous phone calls to remedy, while receiving demand billing during the period. She also made other mistakes during office visits with both my wife and myself. The staff is strictly nonplussed, and half the time when entering the office, you had to bang on the glass to get attention. During phone, calls it sounded like the left hand didn't know what the right was doing. We were never comfortable here and finally gave it up and changed doctors, which we found out several of the practice's patients were doing. I have been going to this office for 10 years now. I starting bringing my daughter there and now she is 18. She places a refill on prescription while she was in college and dr Mohan refused to refill while she was away at college. Didn't update my daughter that it was denied and she sat in cvs. Now she has to go somewhere else at last second. I understand that doctors need to have people every year but she 18 and at college. The office hours are very restrictive for someone in school. Not only that when you call the phone rings and rings. Finally getting a person that puts you on hold for 30 minutes. How is this good customer service? Do I think Mohan is a good doctor? Yes. I became Dr. Mohan's patient in December 2015, when she performed my yearly well-woman examination. During the exam and subsequent follow-up visits, she exhibited excellent active-listening skills and the ability to ask 'just' the right questions to assess my health history and current issues. In addition, I felt Dr. Mohan was very thorough, thoughtful, and generous with her time. I've recommended her to my friends who are looking for an excellent Internal Medicine physician because she is knowledgeable and possesses a genuine concern for her patients. While Dr. Mohan is fabulous, her office staff is horrendous!!!!!! When you walk into her offices, a receptionist is sequestered behind a glass window and usually on the telephone -- and won't even look up and acknowledge that you entered the facility. Her office staff is rude and condescending. They made me wait 7 business days to get a prescription filled that I needed, and which jeopardized my health without having it. Even my pharmacist agreed that her office is among the worst in assisting patients with medications. I always called to ensure the doctor was running on time -- but still was forced to wait more than 1/2 hour while in excruciating pain from bursitis. The office staff didn't give a damn. I tried several times to speak with the doctor herself, and my request was declined -- she's too busy. Oh, but I could talk with her if I paid a fee. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? This place is surely conveniently located in Carefree, but I'd steer clear of it. The rude, uncooperative staff makes every visit a nightmare. Oh -- and trying calling in to her office -- I was treated liked dirt. There are dozens of other qualified doctors with office staffs more accommodating. I moved to one myself -- the receptionist is a dream (she actually knows my name and makes me feel like my presence in the doctor's office has value).
