Was wanting a shrimp on bun and truthfully, there's no better place to get one than at Kenney! Food came out hot and fresh. Service is always friendly and quick. The interior is to the point, spacious with tables that are clean.

Gave this place a try cus the boat guy on Cajun encounter and it was not that great. The crawfish and shrimp had no flavor. The soft shell poboy was good and that grilled gator was the best thing we had. No butter or seasoning for crawfish. The boudin balls were good.

This is my favorite place to get cooked food and boiled seafood in Slidell. The seafood market side has all the boiled seafood you could want as they're always willing to tell you when it's coming out hot. They seem to cook all the time. The cooked food side is mostly for take-out, although there is a small seating area inside and a picnic table outside. It's not a full restaurant seating situation and not a bit rough around the edges, but you can't definitely eat your food in there. My soft shell crab was perfectly fried. The gumbo was like my grandmas! I could eat this over and over.

First time trying this place. I called to do a to go order. She said they don't do it and it's first come first serve. Then I asked for spice levels. She said one flavor. Well I decided to try it out anyway since it was a 4.2 stars. Got 5 pounds. It was 4.99/pound. I thought it was cool they sold fresh and frozen seafood. Well I got back to my hotel and started to eat them. They were small AF!!! Mushy!!! It was not fresh boiled crawfish. It was def frozen before bc that texture was gritty and gross!!! People must not know good crawfish to be giving them a 4.2. The flavor tasted like watered down gumbo in mud. Very mild , bland tasting. First and last time going .

    Dead crawfish

Great service, marginal product. Two years in a row that I've had several pounds of dead crawfish for a family Good Friday boil. Last year I had to leave my family to get a refund for 10# of dead crawfish for 2 sacks. Shame on me. Never again.

A lowkey seafood spot on the side of a fish market -- it's a bit outside the city and was recommended by a tour guide after exploring the Honey Island Swamp. All of the food is fresh and portions are large. The Fried Crab Legs were a clear highlight, food put me to sleep immediately after. I recommend snagging crawfish!

    Seafood Platter

The food is AMAZING! Had the seafood platter and the shrimp etouffe and both were delicious.

Delicious! Fresh and plentiful poboys and plates. Super good batter on fried items. As good as it gets in my opinion. Place is a typical picnic type table place, eating on paper with high stool options and a counter.

Blackened Shrimp Pasta Tuesday Seafood Special

Hotel recommendation to try Kenney Seafood. I tried their Tuesday night special which was the Blackened Shrimp and Pasta. I started with an ice cold beer and it did not disappoint after a long day of travel. Very reasonable from a price point and the picture doesn't do it justice. I was hoping for larger shrimp but they were smaller in size but the dish was loaded with shrimp. The seasoning was nice and the pasta was cooked well and wasn't gummy. My dish was hot and the shrimp had a few shells remaining. The hostess recommended the special and I was impressed with how fast my order came out. A long line at the door for to go orders. The area was very nice with plenty of seating but several tables still were dirty from earlier diners. I did enjoy the bar seating away from the A/C as it was very cold in the main dining area. Overall, a good experience with some areas to improve it could have been great!

3 lbs of crawfish, crawfish mini pies, and a beer.

Casual is a serious understatement. This is the classic southern fried seafood joint. Not to be missed
