He told me they were going to work on it right away and so I said great! After confirming that the water pump had broken and that they could have it repaired the same day I was very surprised and impressed. I did get a little concerned with the estimate but up to this point everything had gone better then expected so I went ahead and told them to get it repaired. Later that afternoon I got a call telling me that The job was done so I went in and picked it up after they let me know about a payment option which I qualified for and all was good again in my life!! The job carries a two year or 20,000 mile warranty and I even had my original cost for the inspection returned to me which I needed. I highly recommend dirks transmission and repairs to anyone with a small to large repair and need it done quickly and with complete professionalism. I will be going back for any future repairs and maintenance needed on my daily driver C6 Corvette 2008. Thanks Omar and the entire staff at Dirks auto repair. I wanted to post an update as of the end of the week of the repairs being completed and I did take my car back to Dirks because of a smell of antifreeze and just wanted to be safe. So there was a small leak in a heater hose that went undetected during the final pressure test performed. Omar told me to bring it in and we can take a second look so I did and it does happen, there was a small leak in a heater hose and it needed to be replaced as well. I had a nightmare experience with 2tech Auto in chico Ca, (read the yelp review its an entertaining…read morereview) and only 2 hours left on my breathalyzer till it locked out my car, this was from disconnecting the battery which is apparently not allowed. I did so cause the unit was draining the battery at night to keep itself warm in the cold. Nevertheless I called 99smog and Tune and he said come on out with no appointment, which saved me a 300$ tow if he had said make an appointment my car would have locked out. When I got there they were very sympathetic towards my situation and had me out of there in 15 minutes. I couldnt have expected them to show more empathy and kindness from what had endured at 2tech auto. They charge less than most places and their minimum is only 55$. Its a nice drive to Gridley 20 minutes if you live in Chico go to to these guys. Very professional worth the drive.

They are a very busy shop, so if you want your auto back in the shortest amount of time, you need to call for an appointment. The cost there is reasonable...some other shops are outrageous and don't know of too many "cheap" car repair shops out there. Today, I was in a huge bind when I was about to leave town for an important event and my alternator went out. I called Slack's and they quoted me a very fair price and said they would be able to squeeze me in tomorrow and try to have it done by noon. I was happy that they could help me so quickly, but I was disappointed and upset that I may miss the event. After telling them about my misfortune, they were able to re-work things and got my car taken care of today! I'm going to be able to make the event! They were so kind, and straightforward! I cannot recommend them highly enough!
