Kenny's Cafe is a good Chinese American restaurant. They serve both Chinese and American food. The entrance is inconspicuous with the sun faded signage. My tri-tip steak was rough. But for $19, I can't complain. The chef cooked it perfectly and seared it with a good amount of crust. The mashed potatoes were bland and watery. The corn was the canned type with a mild sweet taste. The meal came with a cup of 'seafood soup.' It was more of an egg drop soup. Service was great. I like these types of classic diner restaurants.

Portions is not that bad, and the food is not too oily. I would definitely come back especially since their service is not bad considering it's a Chinese restaurant. We ordered: Fried Chicken, beef with double mushroom, chow fun, and the egg with shrimp and fish to share. Not bad. Would order it again.

Wow what a hidden little gem in Pacifica. Tucked away is this little restaurant that serves a well executed Chinese American restaurant. The Chinese food is spot on. Freshly cooked and tasty . On every other Friday they offer prime rib. What ?? Sure let's try it again tonight to see if last time it was lucky. But guess what the food was prepared well. I cannot complain. Soup clam chowder was delicious, I had to share. The dish came with starch and vegetables. This time was white rice , note to self ask for plain rice . Because they serve with gravy on top. And sweet corn as sides. The prime ribs was cooked to medium rare just as asked. Had to ask for horseradish. I did not leave that table with anything on my plate. The family had the Chinese food. Fried wontons, crab ragoons. Fried chicken wings. Orange chicken and salt and pepper pork. Even got a Togo won ton mein. All delicious. They even packed the leftovers. Instead of just handing out boxes. I love it . Lunch time they have lunch specials!!! Don't forget the specials on the board.

Stopped by this place while visiting pacific and it was a little hidden gem! The service was amazing and friendly! The food was food and they were big portions as well. The hot and sour soup was on point and overall every meal was delicious. The ambiance was local Chinese diner with great staff. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 was small cocktail shrimp was used for the fried rice instead of the regular shrimp which changes the flavor profile and not as tasty as using the regular shrimp. I know that's picky but it makes a rather big difference in taste. I would definitely be back

Stopped in on a whim during a girls' trip and was seriously impressed! I'm usually picky about Chinese food; grew up next door to the owners of an amazing restaurant in Dublin, CA and haven't found anything that measured up since. Kenny's comes close! We had the honey walnut prawns (crispy, flavorful, and generous!), beef fried rice, salt & pepper chicken (made with white meat, which I prefer), and fried wontons. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. Great portions, quick service, and no-frills comfort food done right. I'll definitely be back!

I've been coming here for years!! I have had their food since I was in high school, and throughout the years I always recommend this place to all my friends and coworkers! It makes me happy hearing that they come on their own time because it means that they're getting the recognition that they deserve. Their food have always stayed consistent in the best quality, their staff are always attentive and make the place feel like home! It's always so comforting coming in and being welcomed by everyone! I always try to bring different people in, and those people bring new folks in too! Nothing makes me happier than seeing this place getting the love that they deserve with the amount of dedication and hard work they put in with every table that they serve. This restaurant will always have a special place in my heart! These photos are all taken months apart or even years a part to emphasize all the different people I've shared Kenny's with and just how consistent their amazing food is!

The food was not good. I got the Chicken Noodle Wonton Soup and it lacked flavor. I went early and everything was clean. The service could have been better. She tried forcing me to tip. Don't recommend.

Very friendly family atmosphere. Food was quick and fresh. I ordered the wonton and noodle soup with shrimp. It was bland at first, but with a little hot sauce, it was perfect!

Fried Wonton.. took pic b4 all gone.

We sat down in this homey restaurant that felt like we'd been transported back in time to 1997 or so which I liked for a change. Nestled in an unassuming strip mall by some martial arts studio and a few other restaurants and stores. We ordered way too much food and the plates were huge. Highlights were the fried shredded pork with jalapenos, hot and sour soup, and orange chicken though everything was great. Best hot and sour soup I've ever had, great spice level and depth of flavor. The fried shredded pork was seasoned perfectly and went great with everything. We also had bbq pork chow mein and I was pleasantly surprised by the bbq pork being obviously house made fresh and not dried out bright red 40 like most places. Service and value were both great with a huge amount of leftovers and very accomadating but not suffocating service. We had about 7 dishes and it was about a hundred. Probably my second favorite chinese restaurant I've ever been to in my life.

Besides the items I mentioned in earlier reviews, want to shout out the excellent Hot & Sour Soup, full of so many different delicious ingredients, it has become one of my favorite H&S soups of all time. I also love their Black Bean Sauce, with any protein you choose (although I love it with chicken breast) -- it is truly delicious. String Bean Chicken is another favorite. The chefs are two brothers, and the terrific Ricardo, at the front, is one of the chef's sons. They are a wonderful family. If you've bypassed this place but never stopped in, or if you're from the North Pacifica or Montara, Moss Beach or El Granada, it is definitely worth the trip -- it'll become one of your favorite (if not THE favorite) Chinese restaurant on the coast.

We've been ordering from Daniel and his incredible team for years, and they have never disappointed us. No matter what we order, the food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and made with care. Our family favorites are the Mongolian Beef, any of their fried rice (especially the vegetable fried rice), Mu Shu Chicken or Pork, Honey Walnut Shrimp, and just about anything from their Salt and Pepper menu. Their vegetable dishes are also outstanding--fresh, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor. We usually order takeout or delivery since parking can sometimes be a little limited, but that's never stopped us from coming back. Every order arrives hot, well-packaged, and just as delicious as if we were enjoying it in the restaurant. What truly sets Soul Rice apart is Daniel and his team. They're always friendly, welcoming, and genuinely appreciative of their customers. You can tell they take pride in both their food and the relationships they've built within the Pacifica community. That kind of hospitality is becoming harder to find, and it's one of the many reasons our family continues to support them. If you're looking for outstanding Chinese and food in Pacifica, I wholeheartedly recommend Soul Rice. Great food, wonderful people, and a local business that deserves every bit of support. Thank you, Daniel and the entire Soul Rice team, for all the amazing meals and for being such a valued part of our community. We look forward to many more family dinners from Soul Rice!

After Covid, almost NO customers, and quite frankly I've wondered how they've lasted this long. Today, I placed my order, over the phone, and I should have sensed something then. The owner, IN ALL FAIRNESS, has been kind, decent, and pleasant. Hell, I remember us talking about his mom before she passed. But, today, he was so agitated. Walked in. And as I have done everytime, "Hey! How's it going?" An incoherent statement that I could not make out. Sorry. Excuse me. "I don't want to be here." Ummmmm, like on earth, or just at work. AND THE ANGRY DIATRIBE STARTED!!!!! He began to tell me about the exorbitant cost of his property tax, water, and PG&E, which is CRAZY!!!! I offer, "Maybe downsize to a smaller building." In a huff, "I own the building." Then I said, "Well shit is high because of the idiot in the white house." Then I said, "Ohhhhhh you're a trumper!" Ooooooooo WHY DID I SAY THAT He got all in his feels (as they all do), trying to say that is not why. Hmmm. Oh really???? Cuz when BIDEN was in office, shit wasn't this high & I NEVER HEARD YOU MENTION THIS! And you were nicer. So as far as I'm concerned, YOU DID THIS & I HAVE ZERO SYMPATHY FOR YOU!!!!! His ass was alllllllll damn upset, two minutes earlier. Why do you D.A.M. say the same stupid shit? "I didn't vote for this." No, SIR....WE didn't vote for this, but be mad at the right people! We left full and still had plenty to enjoy while we were there. One thing I like about this restaurant is the dine in experience. They use actual cloth table covers and serve tea when you sit down, which gives it a more traditional feel. The larger tables also have lazy susans which makes sharing dishes easy and fun, especially when you come with family. The service was fantastic. They made helpful suggestions and also made sure we did not over order, which I appreciated. You can tell they want you to enjoy the meal, not just spend more money. The food overall was really good. I normally do not like hot and sour soup but they nailed it here. It was perfectly balanced and loaded with ingredients like tofu and mushrooms, super delicious and comforting. The fried rice was great and the Mongolian beef was done just right. A lot of places overload that dish with onions and green onions but this one was balanced perfectly. The sweet and sour pork was just ok for me, not bad but not my favorite dish of the meal. Even with that, I was still very happy with everything we ordered. I left feeling satisfied and taken care of. This spot delivers both on food and service, and it is the kind of place I would come back to when I want a relaxed sit down Chinese meal done right.

It's AYCE and located near the beach by a little shopping area in Pacifica. Beautiful area. The hosts greeted us with their great smile and sat us down right away. We chose the BBQ pot (half bbq to grill your meats and soup like shabu). I had the coconut pork bone soup and my hubby had the mushroom soup. Both were very tasty and the spice was spot on. They had a variety of meat choices and yes prime beef ribeye! You can either grill it or drop it on your soup. You can also create your condiments to dip your grilled meats. The rib eye, beef belly, pork belly were my favorites. You can tell the meats were of high quality and were fresh. You only need to grill the rib eye medium rare and wow it's amazingly delicious!!! Also they have a wide variety of appetizer, vegetable, seafood, tofu, I can go on! The Kalbi ribs as one of the appetizer was one of the best Kalbi I ever had. The marinate was sooo yummy and the meat was tender! The service was also amazing! They checked on us constantly and our orders came so quickly, it was unbelievable. Yes we were stuffed and happy! The green tea ice cream at the end cleansed our palette and it was a great dessert to end the meal. Afterwards we walked a few steps and the view of the beach was mesmerizing! This place is one of the best grilled and shabu place I have ever been. Wish we had one like this in SF, but the scenic drive to Pacifica is worth coming here. All of us ordered half hot pot/skillet, so we can enjoy both types of cooking. I liked that one person was in charge of ordering for their group to minimize confusion and multiple orders. The food came out quickly for us to cook. I really enjoyed the New Zealand Lamb and all the vegetables. I wasn't a big fan of the sauces that we were able to customize at the sauce station since they were just normal Asian sauces. Overall a great place to come for AYCE. The price was also reasonable - $41.99 per person for 90 minutes. There is free parking available since it's located in a plaza. Our family had a great time which is all that matters.
