The outside is deceiving. It looks like a dive or old grocery store from the outside. Inside you it has been transformed into a modern Chinese restaurant. The place is busy and there is a line for take out. The food is delicious and service is impeccable. The first night we had the birds nest with scallops, prawns, fish, chicken, mini corn, broccoli, snow peas all in a noodle birds nest. Perfect for 2 to share as a meal. What a treat to have fresh seafood by the ocean. I liked the fish best and I'm not a fish person. The sauce was delicious and the fish firm. The next day we got lemon chicken. Fried Brest meat with a lemon sauce and a separate dish of asparagus. Both good. Don't judge a book by its cover, park and come inside and you'll be delightfully surprised. read more

Went for lunch today, 29 June 2023. Didn't expect much. The lunch special prices are cheap at $10-11. They come with rice and soup. Had supposedly spicy pork with garlic sauce. My wife had fish with veg. We both loved the spicy hit and sour soup! 5 stars. My not spicy at all pork was sweet. Bummer as it was off-putting. My wife suspects sweet garlic sauce was used. 2 stars since no spice and the sweetness. My wife's fish was 4 star worthy. Tasty and kinda American style Chinese (if you know what I mean) but good. We actually switched meals since she was okay with the sweetness on the pork. We will give them another try. But trust me on this -- skip the not spicy garlic sauced anything unless like sweetness in your food. read more

Chicken tasted old. Sauce was overly sweet and salty and turned neon yellow against white rice. Could swear the shrimp were reconstituted dried shrimp, wrinkly, tough and small (2" wide). We've been going to Kenny's for years either eat in or take out. Portions are huge and their food are very tasty. It's located on Pacifica and if you select to order take out you can go to the beach and have a picnic. Appetizers: -crab Rangoon - I love that there's a lot of filling unlike other places -fried shrimp - not too greasy and batter is not too heavy or thick both the Rangoon and shrimp were served with sweet sour sauce. Main course: --chicken chowmein - plenty of chicken and veggies which I always look for when ordering noodles. Tasty and not salty -Mooshoo chicken - we received more than 4 pancakes which was good because there was a lot of filling. Again tasty and not salty -Salt and Pepper Fish - we've always loved this dish. It was a little saltier than before but it was still good. Breading is not too much and we had enough leftovers to have for lunch the next day. -shrimp broccoli lunch plate was my mom's and she loved it. She said she definitely will be going back. Staffs: Are always friendly and attentive. They seated us right away and had our dishes served quickly. Venue: place is not fancy but clean and always busy. Call in your order and enjoy! This is another of those little Chinese places that will surprise you: from outside it looks like a pathetic greasy spoon, and the inside is diner cafeteria decor. But the food turned out quite good. There's plenty of places (including this one) which offer Kung Pao three delight, but this is the only one I've seen that offers Mongolian three delight, so I got that. Chicken, beef, and a few shrimp mixed with plenty of celery and onion in a light but vivid sauce. Had a country style to it, and it was quite satisfactory. Coming up 1 from Half Moon Bay, go through the Linda Mar light and then turn right at Crespi, it's on the right at the end of the block, at the far end of the little shopping center. So I check what other options are close to where I was and my navigation showed me Kenny's Cafe . I checked their reviews and I decided to try them . I am so glad I came here . Whatever 5stars you see on yelp trust them . Ignore the rest . This is a very small cafe but they have enough seats to have 20 or more customers . They have lots of different options in their menu. The customer service is just awesome . All the employees welcome you and they are just smiling at you . They are very professional. They know what does customer service means . I was confused what to order as they had so many different items . I asked one of the young gentlemen to help me and he suggested to pick just a small portion of their fried rices and one of their vegetables dishes . I trusted him and I ordered what he suggested and it was really really delicious. They use fresh ingredients and their portions are more than enough. They have pretty good prices also . I will definitely go back again . My experience was just a complete satisfaction . read more

The location is just okay in a outdated strip mall; ample parking, but it could benefit from a remodel or even relocation. I like that they serve breakfast food. I returned recently after being gone for about 10 years and was thrilled to see that they are still open and making amazing food. This is hands down one of the best restaurants in town food is so good, portions are large and the prices are reasonable. I've seen Kenny's over the years but never visited. Finally had a chance to order takeout and was very impressed. The food was wonderful. We ordered pot stickers and hot & sour soup as well as a noodle dish. It all tasted fresh and delicious. Service was great and portions were generous. I came here for dinner, and luckily most Chinese restaurants are open on major holidays. I came on Easter, and it was surprisingly pretty full inside! I liked the huge parking lot, too. I tried three dishes: string beans with minced pork, garlic and egg fried rice, and orange chicken. All of the dishes were tasty! My favorite of the three was the string beans. They were cooked so perfectly! The rice was nice and fluffy, but there were some pockets where there was a lot of salt. And the orange chicken was very tender, but I was hoping for it to be a little more crispy. The ladies that helped me were very nice :) read more

To start the service is incredible, I almost believed the wait staff was psychic because it seemed like our order was ready before we even ordered it. The fried wontons were our appetizer and they were good, I would add a little more meat to them. The second entree was House Chow Fun and it was just ok. The noodles were a touch over done. There was an excellent assortment of vegetables and they were the highlight of the entree. Our final entree was Salt and Pepper Prawns and these were the star of the meal. They were piping hot and very flavorful. I will definitely go back. The other thing worthy of note was the value.
