Quick update -- still loving this wonderful place after all these years which, imho, is the best Chinese restaurant in Pacifica. Besides the items I mentioned in earlier reviews, want to shout out the excellent Hot & Sour Soup, full of so many different delicious ingredients, it has become one of my favorite H&S soups of all time. I also love their Black Bean Sauce, with any protein you choose (although I love it with chicken breast) -- it is truly delicious. String Bean Chicken is another favorite. The chefs are two brothers, and the terrific Ricardo, at the front, is one of the chef's sons. They are a wonderful family. If you've bypassed this place but never stopped in, or if you're from the North Pacifica or Montara, Moss Beach or El Granada, it is definitely worth the trip -- it'll become one of your favorite (if not THE favorite) Chinese restaurant on the coast. read more

Having lived here for over 15 years, we've found Ju Fu to be reliable and excellent -- consistently so. Even when we order right as they open or minutes before closing, the take away orders are hot, fresh and tasty. Thanks for being our family's go-to solution when we don't feel like cooking or have leftovers! Their Mu-shu chicken, fried rice, and sizzling rice soup are always our go-to's. Quite good. Surprised by how good the food was. Didn't expect too much in Pacifica, but this is the place for good Chinese food.

Ju Fu serves classic American Chinese food. The restaurant was freezing. Be sure to bring a parka jacket if you are dining indoors. My seafood crispy noodles $18.45 was readying in about 10 minutes. This was good. Their gravy was a lighter color with hints of garlic, chicken stock and cornstarch. The seafood part consisted of shrimps, little scallops and squid. Service was fine as there weren't many people dining indoors. They did have a lot of to-go orders. read more

Really legit Chinese! Had Mongolian chicken and shredded pork with tofu lunch specials. Comes with rice and hot and sour soup (which needs a bit more vinegar). The mains were very good. OK, I know we live very close to SF and Millbrae with a million great Chinese food places and while I am not saying JuFu is better than all of them, it is definitely better than alot of them though and being located in the BOV near us, we LOVE this place. I cannot say too much about this Chinese restaurant as I have only been there a few times and both times were for Togo. They are only offering pick up and Togo due to covid. I had the lunch special. First I had string bean chicken with fried rice and the second time I had chicken in black bean sauce with fried rice. I like how you get to choose between fried rice or steamed rice. When given the Choice I always choose fried rice. The string bean Chicken was just string beans and chicken and the black bean sauce chicken was chicken, zucchini, and carrots. Okay so I had no clue that this place existed but since we used to go to the little place in Strawflower that closed a year ago we had no good take-out Chinese. I saw recommendation on Yelp so decided to give this a try even though this is not around the corner for me. Great place and worth the 30+ minutes in my car to get there and back. First off the do not appear to have their menu on-line and I ordered off the pictures that people uploaded on Yelp. So I was able to pick my dishes but the prices were not current by any stretch. So we got Wor Wonton, EXCELLENT! Then for 2 of us I got 2 dishes (Kung Pao Chicken and Monglian Beef both good) and house fried rice, price $72. I didn't ask for the listing but it was about $20 more than I had added up from the pictures. But let's say that this was 2 dinners for us and we both love Chinese and can eat our share. This could have easily been dinner for 4 so if we go back I would order less. Food: The food is great. Even when I have ordered dishes whose names I don't recognize, I have always been happy. I love Sizzling Rice Soup (tried for the first time today), Jor Jiang Mein (love the cucumber that it comes with), and BBQ Pork Chow Fun. Service: - Always very friendly. - Food is ready when they say it will be when doing take out. - Today, I just said I felt like soup and the lady at the front suggested Sizzling Rice Soup. I went out to my car to wait with my dog because they said it would be 10 minutes, with the intention of coming back in. But she actually came out to my car to hand it to me when it was ready earlier. So kind. - The guy who answers the phone in the evening doesn't even ask for my name anymore. I don't know why this place doesn't have more reviews, they are always so busy every time I pick up my food. This has become our go to Chinese restaurant when looking for yummy take out in the neighborhood! My favorite items: General Tso's chicken, orange chicken, hot and sour soup is delicious every time and one of my favorite menu items, Mongolian beef, braised, green beans. Honestly, I could probably go on, but you get the gist. I wasn't crazy about the noodles, that might be my only con. We were super excited to try a Yelp-5-Star restaurant -- buuttt we discovered it's probably 5 star because it's the best in Pacifica. But pretty okay for Chinese food in general (and definitely like a 2 star compared to the best of the best.) That being said, it's a nice joint in the Bay - and especially convenient if you live in Pacifica. But probably not worth driving here for. To be fair, we did order really really white-washed dishes like General Tso's chicken (it's my standard) as well as more authentic dishes to get a gauge of which food Ju Fu specializes in. We're not really sure in the end, but it's definitely not bad. Honestly, if I owned this restaurant, I'd probably cook it the way they do since it'll be popular with the locals. Maybe they're doing it this way and cook it really differently for themselves (really common actually!). Wanted so badly to like this place. First off, the man working here was so nice! We wanted to dine in but they only do take out. The good: We ordered pork buns. Delicious. We also ordered potstickers and those were yummy too. General Tso's chicken was good but some pieces were really chewy. Chicken fried rice was decent. It had corn inside which I first thought was weird but it wasn't bad. The not so good: Ordered pork chow Mein. Pork had a lot of gristly pieces of fat. Beef with snow peas, snow peas were overcooked to the point of being mushy, beef had a weird unpleasant texture. Overall, I'd come back for the potstickers and pork buns. Prices here are incredibly cheap which is great but remember sometimes you get what you pay for. read more

My family ordered chow mein, fried rice, sweet and sour pork, and honey walnut shrimp. The honey walnut shrimp had a lot of breading on the outside and the shrimp on the inside was small but the honey walnut sauce was tasty. The chow mein and fried rice was a little bland but they were still delicious. Perfect balance of meat and vegetables in the fried rice. I loved the flavoring in the sweet and sour pork. I had noticed the high rating of this Pacifica restaurant and recently had a chance to try it while working nearby. I ordered from the reasonably priced lunch specials and was immediately impressed by the great taste and quality of the food. It was fresh tasting and not oily or greasy. The hot and sour soup that accompanied the meal was delicious. (I did add a few drops of vinegar to taylor it to my particular taste.) The service was friendly and prompt and the atmosphere was relaxing. The cook appeared to really enjoy making great food. I enjoyed it so much that I went again the following two days. When JuFu first opened the food was good - distinct flavors in light sauce. Now the entrees are sodden, swimming in oily, brown sauce. We dumped the moo sho and vegy dishes in a colander to drain it off. We tried the green onion pancakes again hoping they'd improved - nope - greasy fried pancake with no green onion in sight. Such nice people, I arranged for a big catering meal for New Year's Day and everything was ready on time, they provided all the sauces and extras we requested and even helped me carry it to the car. We had rice, lo mein, chicken and snow peas, sesame beef and spring rolls, nice variety and everything was very tasty. If you are looking for gourmet Asian food, then go to Mister Jiu's in SF and spend $500 for dinner for 2, but if you want a nice meal at a good value in the local Pacifica neighborhood, this is a good choice. read more
