Each time I come here I always have the best meal. The ones that stand out to me are the crispy garlic ribs, which are the small crispy ribs that are super flavorful and are delicious on their own with rice. They used to have as fried tilapia or flounder, and they no longer have it, which is too bad. Papaya salad- awesome as well as their pad Thai-- perfectly tangy and saucy, but not too saucy. They have these chicken thighs that are crispy and they are also delicious. Service is quick and friendly.

I'm a curry fan; red and yellow are my favorites. I judge any/all Thai restaurants by their red curry chicken. Happy to say that Shine Thai's red curry is super good. My only complaint is it's always got a bit too much oil in it. Easily remedied via paper towels to absorb off the oil. Regardless, this is legit curry taste. I recently was really hungry so I opted for both red and yellow curry chicken. Both were delicious! If, like me, you're a Thai curry fan, this is the place!

Love Shine Thai! Especially when I don't wanna cook, we love to get a hearty dinner from here. Favorites: -shrimp pad Thai -yellow curry -crispy chicken If I'm not getting those, I'm order another dish or two I haven't tried yet. This place always has great service. I've never actually eaten inside however the place seem clean and well kept. I also think this is one of the fewer places we frequent whose price matches the food quality and portion.

What a delicious and unassuming spot in this hidden strip mall. We were with the kiddos so we got more kid friendly dishes like fresh rolls, wonton soup, pineapple fried rice and pad see ew.. and of course I got a Thai iced tea. Everything was pretty solid, service was friendly without being overbearing and bathrooms were clean. Happy to go back and try some of their other dishes. Sorry about the not so great pic.. we were hungry and just started eating

We decided to dine in for a change at Shine. Not the greatest location, hidden from public view but people know this place and a lot of to go orders. A lot of shops/restaurants next to it have closed one by one. The papaya salad was tangy and super generous. The catfish curry was excellent coupled with the fried basil leaves and red bell peppers. The crab fried rice was the perfect choice and flavorful. Service was quick and attentive. Still my favorite.

1st time I received a bad order from this place. We have been ordering food for years and could be the last time. I am not sure what happens with my order yesterday? I was given n OLD CHICKEN!

First time at Shine Thai Cuisine on. Monday at 12:30 pm for lunch and it was completely empty. They have different lunch specials for $12.50. The garlic salmon really didn't really taste like anything. But the sweet sauce that came on side helped along with hot sauce. I would come back to try something else. The service was ok. Plenty of parking in the lot.

The restaurant has a cozy, laid-back vibe that makes it feel like a nice neighborhood spot. Staff was super attentive. Pad Thai was standard, there was a nice balance of the tangy, sweet, and salty flavors. The pad kee mao wasn't as spicy as it could have been but the ingredients tasted fresh. The stuffed chicken wings were okay.

Not sure why this place always seems so empty, it's such a nice place! We went here Sunday at noon and there were only two tables occupied. We ordered the Fresh Rolls (comes with 6 rolls) but asked to substitute the spicy sauce for peanut satay sauce instead - the rolls were okay, but the rice noodles inside felt a bit dry. I wish they had a shrimp option, instead of fried tofu. We also ordered the Pad Kee Mao, which was really good and had the perfect amount of spice. Atmosphere is very spacious and clean, and service is fast.

A hidden gem in Daly City! Good Thai restaurants are hard to find in the peninsula, but this one stands above others. The prices are reasonable, the service is excellent, food comes out quick and the flavors are spot on. Stand out dishes include the beef panang curry with the sauce full of flavor. The spicy chicken salad was also a nice surprise.

Wandered in here and decided to try out because we were quite hungry. Pleasant attentive service and good portion sizes (for 2 with leftovers). We got 4 items: Chicken satay skewer appetizer, the green curry, tom Kha soup and a side of steamed jasmine rice. $45 before tax and tip. Reasonable especially when there are leftovers. The satay and green curry was delicious, hot all the right spots. The tom Kha was more sour than I preferred and the veggies in there were uncomfortably large to eat without intervention. It was quite a busy restaurant and quite full when we got in at 130pm on Sunday afternoon.

    Any gluten free options?

Hi I believe so. However, I suggest calling the restaurant to confirm. Enjoy!

Do they give a side of rice with curries, or does that need to be ordered separately?

No. All restaurants charge for rice these days. But they give a good portion of curry and it's very good. Prices are reasonable too.

    Is there dine in now?

There is no dine in at this time. They only have takeout. Excellent food

But my sister had enough faith in him that she put her name down in the waitlist a couple years ago. Apparently, my sister completely forgot her order. lol! This guy have more integrity than kickstarter projects and to keep his promise and to fulfill the orders!!! It's my first time having sweet water noodles. I have never visited Cheng Du in China (it's on my bucket list) so I cannot tell how authentic this really is. As a noodle dish, I really love it. I would buy the sauce itself and toss with any other noodles. (Business opportunity there!) The instruction to cook the noodles is super clear and it's a very simple and easy dish to make. If you can boil water in a pot, you can make the noodles based on the instruction with this noodles kit. The rice crispy gave an excellent crunch. (Now I can see why Paik Jong Won added the uncooked instant noodles crumbs from the package to a bowl of instant noodles). The noodles texture is lovely, it has a chewy (or the Taiwanese/Chinese known as "QQ") bite to it. The portion is quite generous too - it's one of those satisfying portions :) I don't think I want to wait for 2 years for this again. But when he opens the store or start selling the sauce, I will be there for sure!!

Popping the perfectly runny egg yolk into the noodles was incredibly satisfying, and every bite was packed with rich, savory umami. The noodles themselves were thick, chewy, and had a great bite that held up well to the sauce. I also tried the Wagyu dish, but it arrived more cooked than it appeared in the photos, which made the texture and overall experience a bit underwhelming. The sauce also leaned on the creamier side, which isn't my favorite pairing with Wagyu, so I'd probably skip that one next time. No water, just pure concentrated flavor. The restaurant gets its name from simmering, one of the essential Chinese cooking techniques, and you can taste that philosophy across the whole menu. The Dry Pot lived up to the hype, but the real surprise was the skewers. Beef, lamb, and chicken, intensely flavorful and rich. I can't stop thinking about them. The potstickers were also way better than expected. Usually a throwaway order at most places, but here they were juicy and packed with flavor. The beef pancakes were fantastic. Golden and crispy on the outside, juicy flavor bomb on thes inside. Both crunchy and a little chewy (in the good way). Came back a few weeks later with friends and ordered the whole grilled fish, which I'd been eyeing since my first visit. It looked magnificent, but it didn't really pop the way the other dishes did.
