What added to the frustration was that I called 45 minutes after my scheduled time asking if I could still come in. I was told they were already booked, whether that was true or not, I can't say. When I asked to reschedule for the following week, it was never made clear that the $45 I had just been charged would not apply to the next appointment. I had to directly ask multiple times whether that payment would be credited, and only then was I told it was a loss due to the fine print of their no-show policy. So to be clear: the first time you miss an appointment, you are charged 100% of the service with no flexibility. They only send email reminders--no text messages or phone reminders. Every other beauty service I use (nails, hair, lashes) sends text reminders, so it's hard to believe that isn't an option. This feels intentional, knowing many people don't constantly check email. What left the worst taste was the lack of understanding or willingness to make an exception for a first-time mistake, especially when I was only 45 minutes late and had been a paying customer.
