Called for information today and man on the phone said that it costs $10 to hem a pair of pants. Went in to hem 2 pairs of pants and he charged me $26. I paid cash and he said that he doesn't charge for tax if the bill is paid in cash. Okay, that comes out to $13 for a pair of pants then, not $10. Great thing is that it can be hemmed in one day. I was referred here by a co-worker that lives in the Aiea area. I originally came here for the good price on services ($12 to hem jeans, and $8 to repair a rip). I was pleased with more than just the price. The tailor that works the shop is a nice, elderly lady that is soft spoken and very polite. Since I live in town, I always pay a little extra ($5 or so...) to get same day service. So I visit my parents in Aiea then pick up my clothing a few hours later. Excellent customer service, good workmanship, and great price. I gave this business 5 stars as I am hard pressed to find areas of improvement in their service to me. read more

I had about 10 pairs of pants that I brought in for Kim. I had been flipping the cuff under so that I didn't have to have my pants hemmed, but I finally gave in. Kim is amazing! Why did I wait so long? Not only is she gifted at being a seamstress, she is also wonderful to talk to. Regarding the parking, sometimes the lot gets full, but the security attendant will let you double park in front of Kim's store for pick-up and drop-offs. Awesome! read more

Came in to get a dress altered for my SIL's wedding. I had purchased a dress and needed to remove a few inches off the bottom and adjust the lace straps. I was 9 months pregnant and was able to find a dress in the color that fit the theme and I would be comfortable wearing. Kim politely showed me the dressing room and quickly started measuring the dress. She was so nice and talked with me, making me feel comfortable. A few other customers came in to pick up their orders while I was there. I didn't mind that she helped them first. After she measured the dress, I changed out of it and I came out the her checking her calendar. We talked about when I needed it and we agreed on a date for me to come back to pick it up. I prepaid for it, so that when it was done, all I would need to do is show the receipt. Sure enough, the dress was done and fit perfectly. Kim is wonderful! I came in and asked Kim if she could fix the hack job that someone else previously did on my military uniform. BUT I needed it done in 3 days! And with no surprise, she said she could!! I'm so thankful that she did. She was even able to taper my boyfriend's pants and got it done by the next day. Kim is also very nice. Wanted to try a new cleaner for my dry cleaning needs. Found Ken's which is down the street from where I live. Dropped off three beloved Tommy Bahama silk shirts to be cleaned and was very surprised when the nice lady told me to come back "after 5 tomorrow". I'm not used to having my dry cleaning done so fast and I was a bit skeptical !! Well, I told her I'd be back on Saturday, three days later. When I was reunited with my shirts, they were just like I've always liked them, soft and silky, plus, clean!
