THE best guided experience hiking & ice climbing in Jewel Lake! Jake was our guide and did an amazing job guiding us through the most beautiful scenery. This was our first time in Estes Park and ice climbing. Jake provided great instruction, was easy going, friendly and helpful. We had an epic time and can't thank Jake and KMAC enough. Highly recommend to anyone looking to have a memorable time.

What an awesome company! Brad our guide was extremely friendly and epic from start to finish. We did the Via Ferrata and had quite the adventure. Brad took his time and made sure we took the pace that agreed with us. I even turned around early, fear of heights, and didn't feel pressured. The whole area is beautiful and the hike to the climb was gorgeous upon itself. Great selections of adventures from this company and awesome guides. If you want some cool things to do while in Estes, check KMAC out!

If you are planning to hike in Rocky Mountain National Park, you must book a guided tour with Kent Mountain Adventure Center (KMAC)! We were staying in Estes Park for a couple of days and were overwhelmed with the hiking options in the area. We booked a guided hike with KMAC and they did all the planning for us....plus we had a very knowledgeable guide who led us on the hike. We provided some basic information about the kind of hike we were interested in (length, terrain, difficulty, etc.) and they came up with several options. Our guide was Ioana, and she was wonderful and very sweet. She checked in with us the day before the hike to make sure we were prepared and to answer any questions we had. The weather ended up being quite unpredictable on the day of the hike. We woke up to snowy conditions, but Ioana was prepared with trekking poles and spikes for our shoes. She let us pick from a few hikes that are good in snowy conditions. We did the Bridal Veil hike and it was absolutely stunning with the snow. We got so many beautiful pictures and videos, including videos of deer on the trail and two waterfalls. There were a couple tricky spots on the trail, and Ioana helped me through them. She brought hot chocolate in a thermos that we drank at the halfway point of the hike....it was a nice little treat. She was great company and we felt spoiled to have her as our personal guide for the day. She also gave us several restaurant recommendations for the area we were staying. Thank you Ioana and KMAC for the memorable experience!

we climbed with Hayden, who made the last day of our trip to RMNP a blast! we are both beginners but both were able to pick up belaying quickly, thanks to Hayden's quirky memory cues! Had a great time, can't wait to do more climbing in the gym now

While my wife and I have done a fair amount of hiking on our own, we decided to splurge and engage a guide in Estes Park, which is the east side of Rocky Mountain National Park, to facilitate our excursion. It was money very well spent. Our guide, Reed, was incredibly personable and knowledgeable. We had outlined several things we wanted to see, and he fully accommodated us. He was mindful of our desired pace and ages (given the elevation), took us on the right trails, and was able to explain about the fauna and flora throughout our journey, which was roughly 11 miles at elevation. We had a spectacular time. We did learn that we could talk or we could hike, but at an elevation which was foreign to us, it was sometimes difficult to do both.

My husband and I had a wonderful time climbing with KMAC. Kyle, our guide, was a wealth of knowledge on climbing and the local area. We enjoyed the variety of climbs/difficulties. Kyle made us feel safe, and instilled confidence as we challenged ourselves to push beyond boundaries. The views at the top were breathtaking. We would be happy to climb with KMAC again.

I was able to book a bed in a co-ed shared dorm for like $80 that night and it was pretty decent. They have a nice big parking lot and when I arrived one of the staff came from a nearby cabin and helped me move my bags inside. They have clear instructions about everything inside, it was a smooth check in and checkout. I would def stay again - it was perfect as a single night after a long day of hiking in the national park, and an early morning again hiking in the national park the next day. Decently clean too, and very homely :)

Jason was awesome! He explained everything, providing expert guidance throughout our climb of the 3rd Flatiron. I had never done any technical outdoor climbs before, all indoor, but living in Boulder, I felt this was a must. I was a little nervous at first, but I never felt unsafe, and the more we climbed, the easier it all felt. The summit? Spectacular! I can never look at the Flatirons again the same way. Repelling off the back was just as fun. Again, never done it before, but Jason walked us through it all and made it seem so easy. Yeh, I got the bug, and I can't wait to do it again! If you've been thinking about it.. if it's been on your mind.. don't wait anymore. DO IT! You will thank yourself you did.

This was our first stop on our hike heading into the forrest and it was an easy climb. These falls are loud and proud plus incredibly pretty. The falls thunder down Glacier Creek due to the heavy snowmelt. It's definitely a favorite spot for many people as it's only 1.6 miles so it's easy to access. Remember to pace yourself due to the altitude. I witnessed lots of huffing and puffing from people having to stop and catch their breath. We stayed long enough to take some pics and watch the falls and then moved on. Plenty of seating all around the falls for everyone. It's great short hike for those that just want to feel like they are "out there". Views are truly epic as is the entire park. Parking earlier in the day can be challenging. I recomment arriving very early or come later in the afternoon to secure a spot. Remember to pack in, pack out and LEAVE NO TRACE.

This was our first time in park and we came in late May so did not expect all the snow and the slush on the trail so that was really awesome. Lots of elevation change as you climb up and down the trail and several small bridges that traverse all the small mountain springs. We saw a few blooming flowers, blue jays, chipmunks, and we spotted a baby rainbow trout hiding in a little pool in one of the springs. Incredible views of the Rocky Mountains and one you get to the falls it's a nice place to take a nice relaxing break in the many rock formations. Great hike.

A bunch of us decided to stretch the trip into a weeklong vacation. I figured I would find a local studio to take a couple of classes. Back home, I practice at a hot power Yoga studio. I wasn't sure what to expect from a more traditional Yoga studio like Estes Park Yoga, but I figured I would check it out. It was so great, I ended up taking five classes!! I would have taken a sixth class, but I would have been late for my flight home. My first class was with Kerry, the owner of the studio. She's a very warm and welcoming instructor. She gives plenty of cues, and focuses on proper posture. We held poses much longer than I expected. It was amazing! In hot power yoga, we work on moving through the poses and building heat. Estes Park Yoga is different than what I am used to, but it's different in a good way! I also had classes with Rachel, Diana, and Elizabeth. They were all great too! Again, very warm and welcoming, holding poses longer, and a lot of focus on proper posture. I felt great after every class. It was exactly what I needed for sitting on a cramped flight, hiking around the Rockies, and sleeping in a hotel bed And then there is Adrienne! Adrienne has the best Yoga story I have ever heard. Are you unsure if Yoga is for you? Stop by the studio, take one of her classes, and chat with her. Fifteen years ago, she broke her L1 and L2 vertebrae in a snowboarding accident. Doctors told her she would be paralyzed from the waist down, and in a wheelchair for the rest of her life. She powered through with Yoga. She attended 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in a wheelchair and full body cast. After a few months, she was walking around again. You would NEVER know that she was once paralyzed. She exhibits zero signs of any physical damage. These days when she's not practicing Yoga, she rock climbs, and chases her kids around. She's also a phenomenal instructor. I'm so happy she shared her story with me. If she can do it, you do it! Make the trip to Estes Park to visit this studio!! I'll be back again soon (I hope).
