I have used the service department on 3 separate occasions and I can't say enough good things about them. Honestly this is the best service department that I have ever used for any type of item. The staff is polite and efficient as well as knowledgeable. Yesterday I was able to get in and out with a new tire in a short amount of time. On my previous visit I had a complete tune up and a part replaced on a Polaris Ranger and again, great service. In fact I thought that I had stripped the transmission but it was only a shredded belt. Service departments tend to be notorious for bad service, long wait times, etc and Kent Powersports is the exact opposite. I was Quoted $1199 for a scooter. Drove an hour to get it. When I got there they wouldn't honor the quoted price, plus they wanted another $1200 for fees. The $1199 scooter turned into $2475! I ordered parts to rebuild the brake calipers and the front forks. The parts received for both orders were incorrect. They also sold me an insufficient quantity of fork fluid to get the job done. I then ordered the parts online from a different source and they were on my doorstep 2 days later. I want to buy locally but Kent Power Sports makes that difficult. read more

Hey Everyone just an FYI, here is my letter to the massive service experience I had at Kent Powersports on 35. Went in to get a tire fitted waited there with my tire for someone to acknowledge my existence when the service manager finally did help he asked me if I bought my tire there I said no, and he was done. He said it was their policy not to install tires not purchased there.(ok but that's not a service department that's a dealership installation shop.) I made the comment ah, that's why people won't mess with you guys for service. He then told me none of the dealerships in town provide this service like I have not ridden a bike for more than 20 years!! When I shook my head and started to walk out he said "be sure to tell your friends!" what a nice man! So that's what I am doing not only is Kent powersports expensive and their service department lame they also have no wish to even be friendly with potential customers. That's my 2 cents, read more

When I lived in San Antonio, I purchased two bikes from this dealer when they still had a subsidiary called Joe Harrison Powersports, but they were owned by Kent Powersports.. I think they've moved since then, but either way I would steer clear of this dealer. I went in looking to purchase my 3rd bike from them because my bike was stolen. I went in, saw what I was looking for, then applied for financing to see what I qualified for. They came back and told me I didn't qualify for the suzuki financing but I did qualify for a local credit union financing at a higher apr than suzuki. I told them I'd think about it and left. I went to another local dealership, saw the same bike, applied for financing and told them joe harrison said I didn't qualify for suzuki financing. They came back and told me I did in fact qualify for the suzuki financing. So what does this mean? Joe Harrison lied to my face and tried to cheat me into a higher apr loan. Unethical business practice? Yes, I think so. Like I said they have since moved to another location I believe, and maybe they replaced that fat troll of a finance manager, but either way this place should be avoided. read more

Location is good for south Austin, Buda, Kyle area. BAD: Very Pricey for common service items. (e.g., tire change should be around $50 front and $75. rear - BUT is charged as regular certified mechanic hourly charge, so expect your bill to be double this! Limited parts on-site. read more

I contacted the dealership by email and explained that I wanted a green 2019 Honda Rubicon DCT EPS and was going to pay cash. I requested a price. I got the price listed on ATV Trader for a 2018. The manager said he would find me a 2019 but he had a 2018 at their dealership in New Braunfels. I didn't ask for a 2018 showroom model that has been climbed allover. Then he told me he couldn't find a 2019. I want to pay cash for a new and unmolested ATV. It was like pulling teeth to get any communication. We agreed on a price in the dealership, paperwork came back and they were nearly $1000 higher than our agreed price PLUS no free trailer, $499 delivery fee, $125 doc fee, $500 dealer prep fee...on and on. RUN, RUN, RUN from these guys. Yamaha incentive is 2.9% APR for 36 months for good credit (our is over 750) and they tried to jack us for 9.99%!!! what??? After being given contradictory information at Georgetown's Central Texas PowerSports Honda Service crew, we called Kent Service Department in Kyle and talked to Mr. Reid Savaia. We immediately got the right information about the recall repair, what to expect and an offer to send a truck to bring the bike in if needed. I just came back today from the recall repair at Kent and I am delighted by their professionalism and friendliness. Reid and his partners in the service department were professional, knowledgeable and accommodating. The drive shaft replacement went without a hitch. Awful service if you are trying to buy. We were given a price on a bike and then informed about the military discount. Discussions we had included a trade in so our payments would stay the same. Once we finally got to chat with fiance guy (an hour in), he upped the price and refused to give the sale price with discount promised before. Wasted several hours of our time. They are much easier to work with than some of the local big name dealerships. What impressed me was that they were very honest about my trade in and suggested that I list my bike for private sale. They even gave me some guidance on what I might reasonably expect to get and the general time frame. Saved me some serious cash. I know their numbers were solid since I had a trade-in quote from another dealership in the area. For the other reviews that are on here, I'd suggest having an honest conversation about what the full out-the-door price would be ahead of time. These shops have staff to pay and lights to keep on. The employees of Kent were wonderful to me. I decided to purchase a sport bike from them based on several factors. 1) In the past, my boyfriend and I have gone in to look at their inventory. We did not buy anything the first few times, but the customer service never changed. They were informative and knowledgeable each time. 2) They have a very positive and energetic attitude, which is contagious. 3) They were patient with me. My work schedule cuts close to their closing time, but they stayed late in order to provide me with what I needed. They never seemed irritated with me or rushed me. Every person I interacted with was wonderful. Jeremy was great with providing me with information. Matt was great with helping me with what I needed to bring to complete the process. I bought a carbon fiber exhaust and the gentleman that helped me was great- I am sorry that I cannot remember his name. And Amber was great with the paperwork process. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Customer service is something that I value above price point any day. I would rather spend money with people that cherish my business than with someone who does not enjoy what they do or appreciate my interest in their products. I have been to Kent Powersports multiple times and each time reminds me to never go there again. I went there a few weekends ago to purchase a new CRF450 and spent over 40 minutes in their showroom being ignored while the staff just stood in a group talking to each other. One person did ask me if I needed help after 30 minutes, but was then told they are on their way home and to just flag someone down. When I walk in to spend that kind of money I am not interested in having to work to give them my business. Bought my CRF450 from another dealer the next weekend. I attempted to give them another shot due to convenience and called them to put a new tire on a wheel for my sons dirt bike and the service department asked if I bought the tire from them. I told them I did not and they said they couldn't do it. I called the other dealer and they did it for free no questions asked. I typically never submit negative reviews on Yelp, but people deserve to know there are better options out there for their purchasing and service needs. read more

I will have to say that everyone I came in contact with at this store was very courteous and helpful. My biggest issue was that I asked the price of the vehicle I was interested in and was quoted $10,499. To my surprise when I came in on Tuesday to close the deal, I was told that the accessories that were on the vehicle when I asked what the price was on Friday were not included. Are you kidding me? I had tell them "no deal!" several times and actually walk towards the door to leave before I was told to wait and see what they could do. It felt like I was on a used car lot dealing with a typical used car salesman. Then finance was not much better quoting me 13% interest. After threatening to leave again it was miraculously lowered to 8% which is still higher than it should have been. I also didn't like dealing with finance over a video chat session. I wouldn't recommend buying anything here. It's been over a month and I still have not received the complete package I'm paying for. If anything goes wrong it's totally up to you to keep calling these guys to get things done. They make deals with you and then fall short on they're end. Then there is no urgency to make it right. There has got to be a better place in our area to buy. I chose this place cause I wanted a ranger hunter package. I called around and a place in Dilly Tx offered me an excellent deal. Kent couldn't match it but they came close enough so it was worth not having to drive to Dilly TX. So I told the sales guy exactly what I wanted. The day they said they would have it ready for me finally came. I took a day off from work and had my trailer hitched and ready. That morning they called and said it wouldn't be ready cause of a recall. Then a week later it's supposedly ready. I get there and it's still missing a roof and gun racks. This is the pattern. They act like everything is no problem and make promises and then don't come through. I called before I came and they were all excited and told me it was ready. Then when I get there....not what we agreed. They installed the roof as I waited and promised to have the gun scabbards soon. Dove season came and went. A few weeks went by and no word. I call there and they say it's coming...then nothing. I have to keep calling to get anything done. Last week I spoke to a manager and found out it's not even ordered. He had the sales guy call and say it's ordered. So again it's been a week and no word from them. I wish I had gone somewhere else. Worse I would have liked to get the 2000 dollar warranty there but now I don't trust the place to invest in a warranty there..major bummer. read more
