Used car sales manager did a horrible job lying, when we were going over numbers I noticed he threw in an extra cost of $2500/$4500. When I asked what the extra cost was he tried to telling me it was an application fee. So be extra careful if you're buying from this dealership. I was contacted by my sales representative who was amazing by the way, she was having another sales manager reach out to me, but I declined furthering my business. read more

Last time I was here was to service the car I bought my son but this time was for me. The service has always been good. Joseph has been there for a few years because I remember when I moved to Texas he offered to drill my plates to the front of my car as a first experience at this location. I came in to get a full synthetic oil change and they took some pics of my car and suggested some things. I ended up adding on a new air filter out of convenience because... I was there but know that it was like four times the cost of running to auto parts store and installing myself BUT I had family in town and a full day of holiday ish to do so... sure. Besides the good service, there are a few reasons I love going to a dealership with my 10 year old Nissan Sentra: one: if I had a new car and it's under warranty, duh. Also if you went to another mechanic shop and they mucked it up, Nissan is going to get you all the way together OR, 3: if you want to know what you need for your car. I love to pay for a basic maintenance and they tell me what the whatouts are so I can plan to get them fixed. I don't have any lights on in my car and it's in great working condition so this is better than paying $100 for the diagnostic, and then paying for the service. It's like a two in one. Any way, Joe is great and I can't speak to anything else. The waiting area is grand and they have coffee machines, snacks, cold water, a sink and a variety of seating. I'd come back. read more

First of all getting a new car is so stressful and a long process. But Summer made it super easy and Im grateful that we got to do business together. She was honest and not salesman pushy, she made sure I was going to go home with something I wanted and not just a sell. The manager was also super helpful and got the numbers to where I needed to be and I felt heard rather than just talked over like other dealerships since I was concerned about my monthly being realistic with my finances. Summer showed me 3 vehicles and I got to test drive them. I went home with a Sentra and I LOVE HER. The financial guy Mario was also great he was a good conversationalist and fast. Now it was a long day since I couldn't make up my mind but they made it so much better. I would honestly recommend this dealership and specifically ask for Summer. read more

** Updating the original review with additional notes ** Unfortunately the initial walkthrough was full of empty promises. My wiper fluid was completely empty and wasn't refilled. I checked the coolant levels and it looks like that wasn't refilled either. I had low pressure reported on my dash for one tire and that wasn't touched. Small things make a huge difference, esp with my busy schedule. It's unfortunate they weren't able to deliver on the details. Original review: I'd pretty much given up on this South Austin Nissan location, but after seeing that they had new management and an improvement in ratings, I decided to given them one more chance and get my oil changed (the service I've had them do in the past). Let's just say, there was a significant improvement. From start to finish, the experience was enhanced. Jayden was polite, gave me a rundown of what would be looked at during the service, and asked if I would like a complementary wash. The interior of the shop looked better. Everything was clean and they had complementary snacks alongside their coffee bar. I was able to get work done on my laptop. Now I need to ensure that this location is consistent in how they deliver. If things go as they did today, I'll have no issue being a repeat guest. read more

I bought a 2019 GMC Sierra from City Limits Nissan in January, and it's been a complete nightmare. Right after purchase, the truck had engine issues. They took it in and supposedly fixed it--but then more problems came up, and it had to go back in for repairs again. I've barely been able to drive the truck since buying it; I haven't even made it to the first oil change. They did provide me with a loaner vehicle, which I appreciated--until that vehicle stopped working too. Now the A/C on my Sierra has completely stopped working--no air comes out at all. I'm sweating through my commutes, showing up to work already in a bad mood. I don't think it's unreasonable to say: I just want a truck that works for what I need it to do. That's not too much to ask after buying a vehicle. I've never had such a frustrating experience buying a vehicle. Would not recommend. read more

So back in August 2023 I had A/C compressor replacement. It worked fine til this yr 2025 when I turned the AC on there was no cold air. Turned out nissan installed a defective unit because I only got 21 months of use out of it. A brand new unit should last 10-15 yrs. I called to get some financial help on replacing it, but only got 20% discount. It's still gonna cost me 1600 at nissan. I strongly feel the replacement was bad because of the short life span on it. I've purchased 5 nissans since 2015 and this is how they treat a repeat nissan customer. I recommend anyone needing A/C work don't go to CITY LIMITS NISSAN. read more

This applies to the service department only. I was given a quote and told that the "motor mounts" needed to be replaced. I have a warranty. Over a week later, I am told only the driver side motor mount is covered by the warranty. Needless to say, I am baffled as to why one would be covered and the other one not. I cannot get any clear answers. I call and ask to speak to a service manager, who of course, is MIA. I speak to man who is now saying that they are not both motor mounts, one is technically a transmission mount and they are used interchangeably and yet he admits he can understand why I would thing they should both be covered. Words matter. This is a dealership, not a backyard and I should not have to ask several times for an explanation as to why the same part isn't covered on both side and learn the hard way that it's not "technically" the same part. This is after I was told the "mounts would be covered" and now they want to charge me for one of the mounts. Don't trust this place. Stay far far away. Here are some texts. read more

I recently was in for a problem at 7am with my Pathfinder that was fairly quickly diagnosed as a bad battery but it took until 3pm to merely put in a new battery. This is absurd. The service rep, Jay, kept telling me it would be 20 more minutes...several times and at one point told me that he couldn't even find the mechanic and that he was working on two or three different cars at the same time. This is totally absurd and yet no one from City Limits Nissan has bothered to contact me about my service what's gonna change? I want a manager to call me. 5123633300. I had to pay a prorate fee and the car was not ready until 3 pm!!! Jay needs to learn to buck up to the mechanics and get things done. It only takes about 20 minutes to change a battery but it took them all day to change mine read more

I placed an order for a part. They requested the VIN to insure it matched my vehicle. The part arrived and I was told the TCM was blank. Then I was told to take it over to the Service Department to find out how much it would be to program the unit. The cost would be $232. I already paid $342 for a unit that useless unless I spent $232. The service center tells me that they can reprogram any unit new or used. So I take the new unit back to the Parts department and tell them I don't need this part anymore that I was under the impression because of the VIN being required it would be Plug and Play. Clearly it is not. They proceeded to charge me a 30% or $63 restocking fee. I'm paying for their mistake. Had they told me the unit was coming blank and would need to be programmed at my expense I would have sought another option. Bad customer service. They will not be recommended by me. read more

Went to buy a used Subaru, was priced a little high, no negotiating. We even had a mechanic pull active codes and showed the manager. Also, took it for test ride, found some issues and possible repairs needed soon. Would not budge on price or listen. Offered to have the mechanics who released it on lot review what our mechanic saw and charge us cost for fixing it if we bought the car. We had a certified master subaru mechanic look at it and he wants us to trust nissan dealer mechanics who missed the rear axle bearing issue and the car has several clips missing on the back end. We asked for $2k off to save the money for the repairs when it happened and he would not budge because it isn't catastrophic now and the active codes weren't dire. Don't buy the car and definitely do not buy from this dealership. I hate the added fees and how their negotiations are just taking off the fees. read more

My parent was given a quote stating that the motor mounts needed to be replaced. They were told the mounts would be covered under their warranty. Over a week later, they were suddenly informed that only the driver side motor mount is covered -- not both. Naturally, this raised questions. Why would one be covered and not the other if they were both initially referred to as "motor mounts"? Despite multiple attempts to get a clear explanation, none was given. When we called and asked to speak to a service manager, no one was available. Eventually, we spoke with someone else who changed the story. Now we're being told that the other mount isn't technically a motor mount -- it's a transmission mount -- and that the two terms are often "used interchangeably." Even the person we spoke to admitted they could understand the confusion. But this isn't a backyard mechanic -- it's a dealership. Words matter. If we're told that both mounts are covered under warranty, we expect that to mean exactly that -- both mounts are covered. Instead, we're now being charged for one because of a technicality that was never clearly explained upfront. We were misled, plain and simple. After making a 7:00am appointment for service and driving 45 minutes to get there, they then informed me that I have to leave it for 3-4 days just to have it diagnosed, then wait to have it repaired (for warranty work). Why make an appointment if it is going to sit there for 3 days? Why can't I make an appointment for the diagnostic? Why not inform people of this when they make the appointment? read more

I have been going through the absolute worst experience of my life for the past months here. Bought a pre owned vehicle in June of 2024 in the past couple months since April the vehicle has been towed due to dying while driving while me and my child were on the highway. Complete dead no power which means no hazards or saftey net for my or my child life to have another car but us from behind. By gods grace the first time a cop was behind us to stop another car from hitting us while at a light in middle of traffic. Fellow citizens as witnesses and offered help but Truck was towed into Nissan completely dead and locked up unable to move gears for hours. The next morning was called that truck turned on I paid the diagnostic fee paid and was looking to find an answer as it was a red flag and saftey hazard. I was told no codes came up or engine lights or any lights came up so therefore they didn't not have an issue to look into. Second time again god on our side we were in a parking spot and vehicle would not start or lock as if it were dead miraculously turned on after an hour of waiting and praying. I again took it too Nissan and explained the issue once again nothing was found and was told a tech didn't not have time to do test drives or overnight driving due to them not having time. Now we move onto the 3rd time while exiting off of the HIGHWAY it died while driving! No warnings in complete panic and shock I was able to maneuver into a place that no one would hit us! This has completely caused me extreme distress and anxiety having my toddler child in the backseat with fast traffic exiting. This could have been so much worse and a horrific tragedy if the vehicle didn't make it to the spot it rolled to. Once again witnesses came to aid and help but with no avail. Now another tow is added to my plate as the vehicle was dead no power again and locked up. After hours again a Tow driver came and took it Nissan. Once again Nissan called in the morning and said the vehicle started and diagnostic were ran and again no codes or lights came on. At this point the service has stated that a contact at another dealership would be of better service as it is a dealership for my vehicle brand. They now drive my vehicle to this said dealership now. This dealership had my vehicle from 5/14-6/13 and could not duplicate the issue and was expessed that the issue could not arise. Okay I had no choice I brought the vehicle home and had to pay another diagnostic fee at this dealership. Parked my vehicle from 6/13 had not driven it anywhere now the afternoon of 6/16 with Texas heat I went open my windows to vent the vehicle is completely dead again! I went to the dealership it was previously at shower video proof. The vehicle was then towed back into said dealership. The tech and shop foreman did diligence and found a LOJACK in my vehicle with faulty wiring and connections inside of fuse box. I then went to Nissan to ask for an explanation on why this was in the vehicle I purchased they said they did not place it in the vehicle it was from a possible previous owner. I then asked why was this not found during inspection of the vehicle when Nissan bought it from the service tech then informed me that only a basic inspection is done!!! I asked for all records of my vehicle since it had been at Nissan mind you I got the vehicle in June of last year and the only records they have start in June the time we bought the vehicle nothing previous at all! At this point the other dealership has given photo evidence of faulty and tampered with wiring in my fuse box! - [x] How could a dealership sell a vehicle without doing proper total inspection of a vehicle! - [x] I took my vehicle into Nissan 3 times and diagnostic was ran but no digging into my vehicle or physically searching for a solution! The wiring and fuse box and LoJack would have been caught then! - [x] The total amount of tow fees diagnostic fees and now who knows with wiring issues that could and would've been prevented after the 1st time if it wasn't rushed just because the vehicle turned on! At this point I'm paying for a vehicle that I have anxiety and ptsd to even attempt to drive. Have to wait to see the damage and cost that I could possibly have to place into a vehicle that should have been caught before even being sold. I have evidence via videos, statements from the people that tried to help to verify I was in distress along with receipts and service records to shown I have been trying to resolve this issue and kept up maintenance since I've had the vehicle. I have been let down and pushed aside when asking questions and for help covering these bills for these issues. Please do research and look into the place you are purchasing your vehicles and the team/service staff as well. read more

This dealership is very poorly run. Several months ago they contacted me (based on me taking my Armada there for service) and expressed interest in buying my vehicle. Total debacle - person who reached out to me never returned my call. I recently went back there to purchase a new Armada and either sell or trade in two 2019 vehicles. Their salesperson has now reached out to me no less than 5-6 times confirming my offer, stating he would take it back to his manager, NOTHING! Every few days I get an email from them asking if I'm still interested in selling my vehicle and I respond with "Yes" and purchasing the new Armada - which, by the way, we are $950.00 apart from their online list price. Absolutely crazy to me that they cannot seem to get this deal done or wouldn't have a bigger appetite for making it happen, keeping a Nissan customer in the family, etc., etc. Absolutely not impressed with how they handle existing Nissan customers and how much time they waste with the back and forth. read more

went through the online process of creating a scheduled appointment at 7 AM for my son's truck. Showed up at 7 AM, there was not a line. one car in front of us. Started to describe the the couple of issues that he was having, both related. service writer stopped me and let me know that for each issue they were looking at. They were going to charge me $200. I was already on edge at that point. Just to diagnose something $400? He then stated that it would be that same cost anywhere than I went. I cannot believe that is true. I let that go, then he told me he would need to keep the vehicle for 2 to 3 days to even diagnosis. Told me that that is just how long it takes. As a former automotive mechanic, I know that is just not true. We ended up just simply canceling the appointment and leaving. I hope this is not how you typically do your services for your customers. Not much different than any other dealership. The whole process was a headache and the sales people, finance, etc. are dishonest. For example, I was told I'd get free oil changes for life of the vehicle. When I show up for an oil change, they tell me it's for the first 6 oil changes or until a certain mileage. when I asked the sales person/finance guys, they gave me the runaround and made it seem like I made it up. if you want honesty, which is big to me for such a large purchase, I wouldn't go here. This review is for the service department at city limits Nissan. I took my daughter's 2023 Nissan rogue in for service and Tyler Erwin was my service advisor. This was my first interaction with City Limits Nissan and I was pleasantly surprised. I can honestly say Tyler provided better customer service than I can remember having at an austin car service department. I will go back and see him for any service needs we have on her car. I wish our other car brands service departments had advisors like Tyler. He was excellent. read more

If you want service on your Nissan, avoid this place. Drove 45 min each way because they don't know how to answer their phone. And when you get there, they try to pawn you off on the parts department when all I want them to do is order a part and repair at a later date. They told me they needed it for the day to order 1 part, which I already know the part number. I hate dealerships in general but talk about lazy. I will be getting a new Nissan Pathfinder within the next 4 weeks and I can tell you who I am not buying from. read more
