Not hard like a lot of salami but a very firm summer sausage. Not fatty either which I like but real beefy. Until I had theirs I used to purchase 10 pound from the Upper Peninsula at a great butcher shop and bring it home. This is as good or better than it gets, better. Once I cut into a roll I leave it open in the refrigerator and it dries out a little ( leaving the casing down about 2 inches since that is usually what I eat with crackers at each snack). Yummy. The beef sticks are excellent. My wife and I really like the Skip brats which weigh over 1/3 pound each. You need a brat bun to add condiments. So good. Have not tried the other selection of brats. No more greasy brats for me for years since I only shop at meat markets for brats. Other local meat market make great brats but Skips currently is my number one choice.

After visiting I learned Grand Butchers is a full service shop offering all natural beef, pork, chicken, lamb, and veal. Affordable organic, grass-fed, and pastured products with an emphasis on made-in-Michigan. Besides custom cuts and a full display cases they have a fully stocked deli and offer many grocery items. I don't buy a ton of meat so I'm not sure if that pricing is in line with other stores, but I wanted to support this local shop right in my own neighborhood. They had a large selection of other cuts of meat, chicken, and packaged items like crackers, sauces, dips, gifts, and more. I'm definitely coming back to Grand Butchers the next time I need a more special cut of meat. Love the large parking lot and I was in and out in no time.
