What to say about Kento. This place is awesome for some quick food. Unfortunately, sometimes the portions can be small, but the taste is always the same...YUMMY! For a food truck, the quality is superior. They are over in the old car lot with a couple of others. If you're driving through and want a quick bite with fresh ingredients, look no further! Great portion of food for a really great price! They have a signature sauce (the pink dip sauce on the picture) that's slightly sweet and has an interesting taste. The yakisoba was a bit too sweet for my tasting and I'd thought the fried rice would be mixed with veggies/eggs but it's just soy sauce fried rice. Customer service was excellent and there's seating areas right by the food cart & safe social distancing. A really great spot for college students as it's right next to the EmX! read more

LOVE this food truck! We have had both the chicken and the beef hibachi, and both are amazing. Can't recommend the spring rolls. Pretty tasteless. The chicken hibachi is coated in a sweet teriyaki sauce. The beef is just perfectly cooked, no real sauce. We like the chicken/steak combo. I don't get the small portion comments here. When we order, it is a solid meal and then left overs for lunch for the next day! Vegetables are fresh, rice is good and it's cooked to order. You'll wait a good ten or so minutes if you order at the window, but they deliver to your car or call ahead and it will be ready to pick up. Is it pricey? Yes, a bit, but that's because it is fresh with fresh veggies and not sitting under a warmer. Worth every penny. read more

We were so lucky to happen upon this truck when we stopped for pretzels and donut truck. I ordered an avocado roll and edamame. Virtually nothing, just a quick snack especially because I didn't know if it would be good. It was so good! The rice was just right texture and temperature like a fine Japanese restaurant. Perfect sushi. The edamame was a real surprise, so much nicer and nicely prepared in pods with slight savory seasoning, I honestly think it might be just a sprinkling of pepper. I absolutely love hibachi and felt like it was one of the biggest things missing in the Eugene food scene when I moved here. Although you miss the experience of watching it being cooked in front of you, it tastes exactly like It was! I have been so impressed by this new food cart and the fact that they were able to open during Covid closures. The fried rice, vegetables, meat... All of it was incredible. They accommodated my requests and were super friendly and quick. I was able to order on the phone so that it was ready when I arrived which I also appreciated. The shrimp and chicken are my favorites- and don't forget to ask for extra yum sauce! I have picked us up a couple of times, and it has been consistently delicious each time! Holy SHIT bro's! This place is fucking awesome, I found myself in Albany for work & wanted try out some new restaurants & every other god damned food truck I went to was closed & it was barely 7pm. But these badass Sonsabitches at Kentos saved the fucking day AND my appetite I tell you what, & what a delectable dish it was. I ordered up the steak & chicken combo with a side of shrimp & my total was a little over 25$ & some folks may consider that expensive which it is but I'll be a Sonuvabitch if it ain't worth it. The shrimp were so fucking big I almost shit a brick & even the rice was fanfuckingtastic & I have always viewed rice as being more stupid than a Joe Biden interview. I'm here for less than 2 weeks but I think I'm damn sure gonna come here again, the food is just so fucking awesome! read more

WHAT A HIDDEN GEM!!! DELICIOUS!!!! I got the chicken and shrimp combo (K3). Had extra veggies no rice (because I'm trying to behave). They have some kind of pink sauce that's included and it's amazing. I read the reviews before going and they definitely did not disappoint. A fantastic meal with generous portions. Background: I tried the new Kento location on Main for sushi with two others, eagerly looking for an alternative to the other (primarily sushi-based) place in town which has had inconsistent service issues for years. I've heard good things about Kento on wheels both the traditional offerings and now sushi...and observed lovely photos of the presentation itself. Now to my personal experience. Location: great, easily accessible sit down spot on Main Street. Walls are bare and only the chatter of patterns and so the place lacked a 'vibe', seats are hard wood and the environment felt more like a lunchroom...could be the location aesthetic is still under construction (I hope). Service: hostess/owner? was right on it, super friendly, attentive and helpful. Food arrived in a fairly quick manner and presentation was fine. She made us comfortable. Quality/Taste: This was where things broke down- the flavors were off or odd...we tried four different rolls...the seafood did not have that freshness and clarity that a good sushi bite has - I tasted crossover flavors in wave probably from other rolls being made on the same surface. The deep fry which usually is extra enticing for those fried food lovers, did not enhance this time. The piece size were also smaller than the local competitor in my opinion. In summary, there just was not 'wow' other than the prettiness of the presentation. The whole table had intended to start with this and get more but were finished after these and went elsewhere to finish filling our stomachs that night. Price: higher than expected for nigiri and house rolls and no happy hour discount offerings. I will return (not for sushi) and try the traditional offerings (stir fry/rice) and update my review based on this experience. This may be where this business shines...but the sushi quality has a ways to go yet, especially playing at this price-point. I'll drive to Albany until then for my fix. read more

On a recent road trip, we wanted something quick and healthy without resorting to fast food. We lucked out and found KENTO! Who doesn't appreciate hibachi at an affordable price; their menu items were similar to what you would find in a restaurant. Food was fresh, delicious and healthier than your typical take out options. They also provided quick and friendly service which deserved 5 stars! I'll definitely be coming back next time I'm in town! :) read more

Veggies were fresh and delicious. The hard shell taco was crunchy but not greasy. Really good food. Staff was nice, wait time was reasonable. I always love a food truck pod because everyone can get different things so it makes the decision of where to eat easy. I also appreciate the heat level of the salsa! She asked if I wanted hot or green. I opted for both. The green has a good flavor but isn't spicy. The red is spicy, and she said it was really hot. I was pleasantly surprised that it really was hot! I love some solid spice, and it delivered with a good taste as well. Worth the drive from Eugene and I'll definitely stop in again!

Best food in town! And awesome customer service. They are so nice and the best part, they deliver to your car . The steak is cook to perfection and really tender. And the chicken teriyaki is the best I ever have. Not overly sweet. And ask the chef to add a little heat to the chicken teriyaki and its Just perfect . Will def. be a repeated customer .
