I walked inside with my significant other and ended up waiting only about 15 minutes. They had seats, so it wasn't a big deal. I got a Men's Haircut and it was $25.00. I came in for a simple haircut with that being square sideburns, clean and square in the back, and an inch off everywhere else. It came out great! I was pleasantly surprised at the result since my barber finished so quickly. It felt like I was only in the chair for a few minutes. My barber was both polite and friendly. His professionalism really did shine bright. The place was small and to the point. It was clean and kept up with nicely. Overall, this shop was just what I needed. There are about a dozen barber shops on 6 between Calumet and Torrence. I have tried 3 of them, that I will not be returning to. I spot this joint and Lou is all by his lonesome! I popped in and there was a younger lady behind the counter. I was seated right away and we got on our way. He started talking to me like we were old friends. Nice guy. But when he was cutting my hair, it seemed as though he was just flying thru it. Not in a hurry, he just knew what he was doing after 90 years in the business. he shaved my neck and thru the whole process kept sweeping the hair off my face. He also had a damp towel that got rid of the rest before I left. It's been years that I haven't left a barber without half the hair that was cut, still on my head.
