I booked an appointment with a stylist named Vanessa after finding her online. We had been texting back and forth about scheduling, and once I confirmed, I sent her a $60 deposit. She rescheduled once because of a personal conflict, which I understood. On the day of my appointment, I drove half an hour to the salon only to find it closed. When I texted her, she explained she couldn't make it due to something involving her child. While I was understanding, I would have appreciated being told ahead of time. She then offered to either reschedule or refund my deposit. I requested a refund, and although I followed up multiple times, she only returned half of it. It has now been several weeks, and she has ignored my messages and not returned the remainder of my deposit. I would advise people not to book here, and if you do book with a different stylist. read more

An experienced professional! I was going off of pure faith here because it's hard for me to trust someone with my hair. I needed to find a hairstylist for my family photos and I opened up Yelp and was pointed to this lovely gem. Kenya was warm, patient and understood the assignment! I had gone for my big day my wedding I had ask for tap ins (Vanessa) did a okay job not the best that's fs she didn't do the curls I had ask for curled my hair towards my face!!! Kenya was so good at evaluating my hair texture, understanding the products it needed to get it back into a healthy state. This girl just doesn't do-hair, she knows hair. Worst service ever. She was extremely unprofessional I told her actually what I want and showed her pictures. She didn't tell me the price before hand even though I asked multiple times. She didn't wash my hair and had to bring in my own wax. When I got finished the braids were really uneven even though I told her I wanted them the same length. The beads were all different and looked extremely messy at the ends. The braids were overpriced for the quality of work. I paid with check and she asked if I had a "good" check because she doesn't usual take checks but didn't let me know the price beforehand so I wasn't able to get cash before. She also doesn't take card either. After I got home and I called her and she was extremely rude over the phone and was not willing to fix the situation. I will never go back here again this is my second time and both times I had issues when it came to her being honest about what the price.
