The technician arrived 30+ minutes before the scheduled time, which caught me during a meeting. -- Editing to acknowledge to the business' interesting response below: You don't need a sharp tool to scratch a car - all you need is a microfiber cloth that has something abrasive on it (eg: dirt). Your technician probably used too much force when drying the car. It's concerning that a detailing company doesn't understand things like this. And you didn't offer any support when I immediately reached out - I was basically ghosted and had to reach out over two days trying to discuss the issue to no resolution. Also, how would my car's security cameras (sentry mode) explicitly show your technician scratch my car? Car cameras don't watch their own paint. And how is the fact your technician didn't drive my car relevant at all? They scratched my car while cleaning it. read more

I solicited responses from several auto detailing businesses in the greater Phoenix area via Yelp. The quickest to respond was Kenyon Mobile Detailing. I was alerted to a special that was going on. After receiving responses from several other businesses, I chose Kenyon. Communication from Kenyon was crystal clear as I had several questions. They were very much upfront about the cost so that there would be no surprises. I was able to easily set up a time for a detailer to come out to my house to do the work. Raul, the detailer, contacted me the morning of the appointment to give me a more exact idea of when to expect him. He came on time, and we briefly spoke about where he would do the work. I offered him my garage since the sun was coming out, and he did the work there. Raul was friendly, informative, extremely polite and a pleasure to meet. Raul told me that he takes his time to make sure that everything is done right. It took him about 3.5 hours for the complete job. The results are excellent! The car is six years old and despite recently being cleaned, never had an interior detail job done to it. It looks and smells great. I am sure that I will get some major husband points when my wife returns home! Everything from the initial messaging response from Kenyon to Raul's completion indicated to me a high degree of professionalism and pride. I am happy to recommend Kenyon to my neighbor across the street, who is planning to have her vehicle detailed in the future. ***HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE*** Thursday I scheduled a full tint on my new vehicle through Groupon. I dropped my car off at 10am and was told pickup would be the same day at 5pm. I hadn't heard anything by 4pm, so I followed up via text to check the status of my vehicle (see text thread #1). I was told "12 noon tomorrow." That wasn't what we agreed upon, but I said that was fine. Friday The next day I sent a text at 10:41am to confirm the 12pm pick up time. At 11:27am I received the following response, "I believe so let me check with tech real quick." After 20 minutes I still hadn't heard anything and decided to pick up my vehicle. I was beginning to worry if my vehicle was still at the shop. Upon my arrival, the shop door was locked and no one was inside. I called 480-232-6812 and spoke with Kyle Kenyon (owner) or Vince (they sound similar). I informed him I was there to pick up my vehicle and the door was locked. He told me that he was out of town and he was having a difficult time getting in touch with his technician. I asked if the vehicle was completed, he said he didn't know but assured me his tech Omar had stayed late working on my vehicle. He asked to call me back so he could get someone out there to open the shop. He quickly called me back to say that someone would be there within 15 minutes. A "friend" of the owner (Rick) arrived and opened the door/garage door to reveal an unfinished job. The car was filthy. The back window appeared "prepped" but NOT tinted, the driver window was NOT tinted, and both rear passenger windows were NOT tinted. The only windows tinted were the passenger front window and both rear quarter windows. This was obviously very upsetting, considering Kenyon Auto Cosmetics had my vehicle a day and a half. I expressed my concerns to Rick, but he informed me he was just doing a favor for his friend. He said he had nothing to do with tint, he was a mechanic. I called Kyle/Vince and expressed my frustrations and concerns regarding the poor quality tint job. I informed him that the passenger window had a large strip of bubbling (impairing visibility) and the quarter windows had significant bubbling. He assured me he would make it right and that I could bring my vehicle back at my earliest convenience. We agreed on Monday at 10am. The conversation with Kyle/Vince was appropriate, he seemed very understanding and apologetic. On my drive home I noticed a chip to my front right windshield. I immediately called Kyle/Vince again to inform him of this finding, but he didn't answer. I called again and explained the situation. He asked me if I could prove it. He explained that once a car enters the shop everything is recorded. He said we could review the footage to see if anything had happened to the windshield. He again assured me that he would make it right and complete the tint Monday at 10am. Saturday I received a call from Kyle/Vince at Kenyon Auto Cosmetics 480-232-6812. I was asked if I was someone by another name. I said I was not that person, then he asked if I was my last name. I said yes, where he proceeded to ask if I had left a review. Kyle/Vince was aggressive, condescending, and disrespectful. I told him I had not left a review yet, I was going to give him the opportunity to make it right. Kyle/Vince berated me about the chip in the windshield, saying that I would have to prove it happened in the shop. I was told I would have to take legal action to see the shop's recordings, that a chip only happens to a windshield if you're traveling 70-90mph. Work wasn't done to the windshield. I stated that the day prior he had said that we could review the shop's footage together. He denied saying that and went on a rant stating that all calls were recorded and that when people in the past have claimed that his shop did something (6 legal cases) all lost and that he's only ever had to replace two windshields in 10 years. He accused me of trying to get stuff for free. He then asked, "and you're using Groupon right? Makes sense. I often have problems with Groupon people." I redirected the conversation back to the incomplete tint job. Plans were confirmed to drop off my vehicle Monday at 10am. Monday I let the shop know I was unable to drop off my vehicle due to personal reasons. I inquired about Friday 9:30-10am. Kenyon Auto Cosmetics did not respond. Wednesday I sent a text to make sure Friday at 10am worked for the tint correction/completion. Kenyon Auto Cosmetics acted like they didn't know what needed to be finished on my vehicle. Refer to text thread #2, 3, 4 & 5. The entire situation was unnecessary, unprofessional, and inexcusable. DO NOT use Kenyon Auto Cosmetics. AVOID Kenyon Auto Cosmetics at all costs. I ordered a Superior Interior clean I guess they called it at $179 to which they added on a $50 charge to come to me. Now I will say in the past I have paid these fees with other services and felt fine after paying this. Unfortunately it started off by the "Tech" arriving an hour late, as he said "due to traffic", which I can understand to an extent. After showing an hour late he had a comment of "wow it is pretty clean", which it was but wanted a detail. He then proceeded to do the service, I was busy with work things and he completed the service in about 45-55 minutes. I quickly looked inside and it appeared "ok" and I paid. Later I went for a drive at night and figured out the "Tech" did not clean the windows at all, and further inspection showed he really only did a surface clean, calling it a detail is incorrect. I have had better cleans at a car wash where they do not even charge for, in no way was this a "Detail". Did not take the rubber out of the center console just wiped it down, over sprayed the armor all all over the windows, did not do the windows at all. All the vents are still dusty, the steering wheel was not cleaned well, I did not have time to go through with a fine tooth comb and honestly for this pricing I should not have to, but hey that may be my own fault for not catching it. The worst part of all of this was calling in to the owner and his reaction. He expressed that he can't make "all you" happy. No idea what was meant but it was sure a bad experience with their customer service. I tried to explain that I was trying to help him as his service could be better but then the conversation got heated as I felt disrespected as a customer who just spent $229 for a $10 service in my opinion. He then proceeded to say the "tech" was there 4 hours which was absolutely false as well. My recommendation is go elsewhere with more professional service. Maybe he just dos not care as long as he gets your $200 for an interior clean only. In the end they offered for me to take my vehicle to their shop and let them fix the issues, but honestly at this point I am done trying to let them learn how to clean a vehicle on my vehicle and my time is too valuable to me as I paid to have them come to me. Recommend go elsewhere with your valuable dollars and have someone with better customer experience than what you may receive here with them. read more

Got a Groupon deal for car window tinting and so went there to get it done for my wife's SUV. The staff is one of the most welcoming people you would ever see in any car detailing shop. Their price is pretty reasonable even without a Groupon voucher. The office is pretty like a truck trailer with less seating so basically, it would be best to drop off your car here and come back to pickup later. However, they do let you sit and wait and even have coffee and other snacks kept inside. Coming to the detailing, it was well done and top quality. I did it like 4-5 months back and no complaint at all to date. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. read more

The guy (I forgot his name) was very courteous, friendly and as young as he looked, was also very knowledgeable. Before he started, he ask if there were anything that was of a concern to me that I'd like for him to focus on. I requested the Super Exterior Package, which I thought was very decently priced. I've used Kenyon Mobile Detailing twice now and each time they exceeded my expectations. Fabulously communication not just from customer service but from my detailer as well. The day of my appointment Justin was on time and he let me know when he was about ten minutes away and when he was about fifteen minutes done with my car (I requested he let me know since I didn't want him waiting for me in the heat). Unfortunately I had a really bad experience with this company. I had overspray paint in my black car which made the paint look cloudy. I got a couple quotes and they did some test directly in the car to see if it comes out easy and it did.( I will put pictures) I decided to go with Kenyon services , I got a quote and booked to come to my place to do the project. Once the technician arrived , before starting the job, I confirm the price which be told me a higher price and I ask to check . He checked and I was right (quick fix) but then the real issue happened. Time passes an I received a text that he was done with the car but when I went to check The overspray was still there. I show him the spot where they had done the treatment trial to see if it came off before to see which was completely back to black color, and asked him why it was such a difference. He said he will try with the machine this time not just his hand . After sometime he texted me again to tell me that he was done again. I went down and the hood was spotless like the trial spot they did but the rest of the front, aides and roof was not done. I remind him that I paid for the whole car detail outside for the overspray not only the hood. Then he stated getting aggressive and told me he was done and if he did more he will charge me extra. I decided just to go ahead and contact the manager. I scream shots of his technician telling me twice before that he was done when the work was not done. He told me he will called him so I can get what we agreed on but 20 min later the technician was gone. I paid in full even though I was not happy. At that time I only saw the roof was not done , he offer for some else to come and do it but after washing my car I realize that the only plain of paint tested in my car was the hood. Also I don't know what product the use but my plastic black trim has white stains and they don't even come of by rubbing it by hand. So definitely not letting them touch my car again. I will be putting pictures of everything. . Definitely want a full refund for the job that was NOT done. DONT WAIST YOUR MONEY HERE . Now I have to pay again same treatment with another company and now I have to spent more money to do the TRIMS TOO. Extremely disappointed Replayed here because you don't answer me on texts. Do NOT use this business. They are a complete joke. They no showed for my two cars on Tuesday and wouldn't answer the phone. I had taken off work and moved my schedule around and finally after an hour and a half someone answers and said it's a no show but they'll come out Friday. Today is Friday so I called because ONCE AGAIN no one showed and the rude owner answered after 45 minutes and said "I TOLD YOU IN THE TEXT BETWEEN 9-10! I DONT NEED YOUR F*%king MONEY B*%ch!" I'll attach the confirmation texts so you can see it wasn't "between 9-10". Also I called at 950 and highly doubt someone was on their way. I feel sorry for this man. Clearly he has a sad life if this is how he treats customers. I wouldn't want someone this gross at my house anyways. Also a bummer because an employee there named Alfredo did a great job years ago. UPDATE: I never said I take mine through a $3 car wash. My cars were both newly wrapped last week, hence why I didn't want your exterior "detailing". And I never cussed at an employee. First they canceled last minute then Just got an independent contractor who came out and did not shampoo the carpet, did not clean any part of the fabric , didn't shampoo or condition leather seats as stated ....really didn't do much. It looks like they vacuumed my car out and that's about it. Sat outside with the contractor for about 20 minutes letting them know what to fix. Also, asked about the shampoo carpet that did not get shampooed and seats look horrible. The car becomes a war zone from my kids, but Kenyon is always able to make it look like new again. BUYER BEWARE!!! I don't know how this place stays in business! I specifically ordered the $175.00 package and IN DETAIL explained that there was a heavy perfume smell in my car that needed to be removed. The menu of available packages on their own website states that we will "Deep clean and shampoo cloth seats" and "Deep cleaning and shampooing of interior carpets, trunk and floor mats" as well as "Use of hot water extractor machine Use of 214 degree steam cleaning machine" along with "Spot Clean head liner". The tech arrived on time and while I was watching him unpack his stuff I didn't see anything but a vacuum. After about an hour I asked him if / how he was going to shampoo anything. He said he didn't have the equipment listed on the package description and that they didn't even have a steam cleaner at the shop. When I questioned that he said "sounds like false advertising to me". I had him stop and pack up realizing I wasn't going to get what I ordered. Stupidly I felt sorry for him and gave him $60 for his work. Later that evening the owner called me asking how I liked the service. I explained what happened and he started cursing up one wall and down the other telling me that he "F***ing hates F***ing clients, F***ing employees and F***ing detailing" along with using the same very colorful language, totally trashing his worker This is when I hung up on him. Paid for the interior detail, had to go back and clean numerous spots, re-clean the dashboard, doors and windows - there were still spots in my seats, both front and back, and spots that look like some sort of cleaner was sprayed but never actually wiped in and left a weird residue all over my truck. After contacting them to ask for PARTIAL refund, they offered to send someone back. I declined, because why would I want someone back out to do a terrible job again? BEWARE! Detailing service is absolute garbage! Joel my detailing tech showed up on time and was polite. The detailing job however was lacking! My wife had to point out quite a few spots that he missed. I work nights and I was not able to be out there to inspect Joel's work, I had my wife stay home from work to be there for the service... I emailed them back right away and expressed my unhappiness with the job done. Customer service was a joke! They Ignored emails after requesting a refund and the "Manager" was rude as hell on the phone to my wife. They offered to come back and detail again but I refused! I asked for a refund but got NOTHING! I spent a total of $195 for a crappy car wash. I will be taking further action. This company ripped me off!
