I was hesitant when making the reservation because from my experience when restaurants are this close to performing arts centers or arenas the food tends to suck, but I was not disappointed. We made reservations for 6:30 on a Friday night before watching Harry Potter in concert. We parked near the theater, but the restaurant has parking designated to its customers across the street and in the back of the restaurant as well. This is a bonus for me as I avoid downtown Fort Lauderdale because of the parking. We got seated quickly. The patio area is very nice and cozy, but We opted to sit inside. The inside is very small. You almost feel squished of how tiny it is. We started with the yuca à la huancaina. This was definitely not what we were expecting and the taste was okay. We then had the chicharrones and it wasn't bad, but I've had better. I ordered the wild caught Argentinian red shrimp. This was absolutely delicious!! The portion is not big enough to share, but I can still taste how savory the meal was. I did feel like our server was rushing us and our entree took long to come out, but the last meal I ordered made up for it. They also have a special for those attending the Broward center.

A friend and I split the shrimp skewers and a delicious salad, and it turned out to be just the right amount of food. The restaurant is within walking distance of the theater, making it a great pre-show option. Our waitress seemed a bit overwhelmed at first because she was juggling several tables, but things eventually settled down and the service improved. Overall, this is a dependable spot before a show. Just be sure to make a reservation, especially on theater nights! I know why they stay in business because they have good food and have a great location. But when my partner asked me what I really felt like I said Casa Playa or Chimney house. So we raced to get there at 9:30ish starving. Good thing we asked the kind manager first if they would still serve us food since they closed at 10.. He was kind enough to tell us they would serve us no problem. Glad we asked as the male server who who wasn't even serving us) was quick to walk by when he saw us, not to greet us but to tell us the kitchen was closed. Then seemed annoyed when the manager confirmed we were ok. Thanks buddy. Thankfully we were being served by the kind male bartender with the female server being sweet enough to bring us menus We made sure to have our order in as soon as asked. The male bartender was great. Friendly and made us feel welcome. I have been to this restaurant many times because I love Chimney house and these are the same owners. So I was truly grateful that the bartender, female server and manager were so kind. The owners do a great job as hiring such great team members. Because of the managers hospitality we asked about future events and have already planned to stay at an air bnb across the street for the upcoming soccer games. Small acts of kindness go a long way for keeping locals happy with your business. The food is always consistently amazing. The ambience is just right with the perfect lighting, set up and views. The team members are always so friendly and great at making you feel welcome. Not to forget- Best lomo saltado and skirt steak! Don't miss out on this gem

We chose a two top on the lovely patio. After ordering sweet tea, we were brought a basket of tortilla chips and some spicy salsa. We ordered guacamole and it was perfect. Onto the main courses: She had the taco trio with black beans/rice and I chose a chile relleno with refried beans/rice. Instead of the usual cheese stuffed poblano pepper I opted for steak + cheese, which also had some veggies in it. Very tasty. El G is a charming place and the servers are nice and efficient. We arrived at 1 pm which we found out was the perfect time. It got very busy later. Can't wait to go back with others.

I had the Birria tacos, hubby had the fried chicken chunks with added onions, our friend Bill had a delicious chicken marinated breast with rice and his awesome wife had the Mexican plate combo, which had so much food! I am so glad I took a chance on this restaurant because we all agreed it will now become a staple in our rotation of places to eat. Additionally, the staff was so genuine, kind, and nice and I love that!

They have a full salad bar and cold bar items at the bar where you can self serve. They also have soups and rice available to be eaten with meats. Same concept as Texas de Brazil, where diners can let the servers know when they are ready to eat more or just not ready by flipping the token to show red or green side. The servers will stop by the side of the table with various meats cooked to different temperatures to offer to diners. You can pass if you don't want or you can let them know how many slices you would like. The interior seemed really nice and cleanly maintained. They also have fried yuca, plantains, fried cheese that servers will bring to the side of your table and you can ask for however much you want. To me, this was like upgraded version of all you can eat. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, the food, and the hospitality. If something was lacking, I didn't notice it because all the other things that matter, like customer service and hospitality more than made up for it. I would definitely come back again in the near future with the rest of the family. Thank you Lasso Gaucho Brazilian Steakhouse for such a fantastic first time dining experience. The parking is super limited. Just valet park. It's under $15 and it's not like we spend money on valet parking everyday. Please make sure to show your appreciation to the valet driver! The ambiance is lively yet stylish, with trendy décor, upbeat vibes, attentive service, and an extensive Mexican menu that offers something for everyone. The margaritas here never disappoint, but the standout for me is definitely the Rocco Rita. The addition of Cointreau gives it the perfect elevated citrus touch that makes it dangerously good. If it's your first time visiting, ordering the guacamole is non negotiable. One of the attendants rolls the guacamole cart directly to your table and prepares it fresh right in front of you, adding a fun interactive experience that everyone at the table enjoys. This visit, we decided to keep it taco focused and ordered the chorizo, blackened fish, chicken, and carne asada tacos. Every single one was flavorful, fresh, and perfectly prepared. Simple, delicious, and satisfying. What also makes this place unique is the crowd it attracts. We've unexpectedly run into celebrities here more than once, which adds a little extra Las Olas sparkle to the experience. You truly never know who you'll see dining nearby. Between the consistently great food, excellent cocktails, vibrant atmosphere, and polished service, it's easy to understand why this place keeps us coming back.
