THIS LOCKSMITH IS AWESOME!! We had a diy emergency on a Saturday afternoon. Orlando was at our home within the hour. As he looked at the mess we made trying to replace a doorknob and lock on an old door he quickly assessed what was needed. He has everything he needs in his truck and was able to fabricate the missing plate to complete the installation. Did I mention we had no air conditioning and it did not affect his work. Olando saved my day this past Saturday! I unexpectedly got locked out of my house and called all over the place looking for someone to help to no avail...until I reached Olando!!! Olando was so kind and friendly on the phone. He was driving in the opposite direction but turned around and showed up in my driveway within 15 minutes. For the first time since I was a teenager, I locked myself out of my house while taking a walk after work. I called Kernel locksmith and, despite being in the middle of dinner, Orlando came out right away and quickly helped me get back into my house. I was dog sitting for my sister and managed to lock myself and her hungry doggie out at 6:30am on a summer Sunday. I called 3 locksmiths that were open 24/7, but no one answered. I saw Kernel had 5 stars and was 8 miles away so I called. I am so grateful Orlando picked up. He knew it was someone in need calling and didn't want to leave anyone stranded. He clearly got out of bed and drove to help me arriving faster than he estimated, was incredibly nice, and opened the door in just a few minutes still allowing my sister to use her same keys. I was having an issue with my front door at my business. I spoke with Orlando in the afternoon and within a few hours he showed up as promised. Took a look at it and diagnosed the problem immediately. He then showed me what was happening and explained what could happen if left alone so that I understood. He fixed the problem. If you're looking for prompt service with no nonsense Orlando is the way to go. And he's a veteran which is an added plus!!!! read more

Used this locksmith about a year ago and thought at the time that his price was a little high. I said something and he assured me that his work was good and guaranteed. A few month later the panic bar that he installed stopped working. I called more than six times to get him to come back and "guarantee" his work and he never returned my calls. Would not recommend for any commercial work. read more

Not just once but twice Marc saved me from the trouble. The trouble of rekeying 8 locks at my house. Marc came and rekeyed the locks real quick. He even checked the other locks to see if they're fine or not. The price he charged was more than affordable for providing such prominent and fast service. And the second time he was again a savior when my main door's lock got jammed and needed to be repaired. Called Marc and in just half an hour he was here with his tool box and furbished up the lock. We were in a desperate situation and called Orlando after striking out with a few other Milford locksmiths. He could not have been more responsive and nicer. We own retail stores all over the eastern seaboard. It is rare that you deal with someone as professional and accommodating in the business world. My name is Orlando Petgrave and I live in milford, CT. After serving in the Military for 4 years, one tour in afghanistan, I decided to get back into locksmithing which I knew before I went overseas. I worked with a locksmith company for two years and I took a six month Locksmithing course at Ashworth College. I started Kernel Locksmith in 2010. I do everything by myself and there is no middle man involved, so you get a great one on one service when you call me.

I called Orlando several weeks in advance to discuss the scope of work. He was very polite, took the time to speak with me and gave me a ballpark on pricing so I had an idea of what to expect. When I was ready to move forward Orlando was very accommodating and scheduling was a breeze.
