I am a property owner (landlord) with my properties located in Grays Harbor County and the first…read moreproperty management company I did business with was Burkhamer Property Services with Sandra Burkhamer overseeing all of my buildings and units. Incredibly rude person who wouldn't listen to a word I had to say and always got the rent appraisals wrong usually way to low and would not allow owners to raise rents even if way below market value. Also never did any inspections and never found any of the problems that were occurring, I would make a trip down from Seattle where I live and be shocked at all of the things wrong that needed attention and should have been discovered a long time ago but weren't. I heard from maintenance people that worked for her and from real estate agents that she had a huge number of property owner clients that quit and went elsewhere. She passed away in January 2025 however I don't believe the current business is any better. If you are a property owner looking to rent out a building of some sort I recommend Home Sweet Home property management on Simpson which does what I would consider a pretty good job. If you haven't bought a building yet and planning on getting into rentals think twice, it is not very profitable and the Democratic Party along with other left wing groups are making owning a rental property nearly impossible, best stay with the stock market and save yourself a great deal of trouble.

Lived in a duplex for ten months. Kept it super clean. I had constant issues from neighbors that I…read morewas expected just to put up with (noise, mess, garbage, rotating through new teenage missionaries every few weeks--seriously--who would proselytize to me while I was just trying to go to work), and no resolution at all. I was told it was basically my fault if they were bad tenants, because I wasn't tattling on the teen boys often enough. Then, when I moved out, I cleaned FOR DAYS. They checked every window track and drawer. Told me there was "nothing more they could ask" and that they could tell how hard I worked. Then, they called me two days after I turned over the keys to say the building smelled of cigarette smoke and the kitchen floor needed waxing (they literally prohibit tenants from waxing floors), so they're keeping my $1350 deposit. Every review warned me that they would invent reasons to keep my deposit, but telling me I didn't keep the kitchen floor "move-in ready" by using it, and that they had to wax it, then claiming it smelled like cigarettes, days after I moved out?!?!?! Wow. I didn't want to believe they would be this blatantly unethical and money grubbing, but they are.

A poor quality motel room, disguised as an AirBnb. If you enjoy spider friends, mysterious ant…read moretrails, and outdated fixtures and finishings (not in the good-vintage way), then this place may be the place for you. It's not the cheapest, which was the surprising aspect of it. If you spend, say, $40 for a night, you're almost steeled against the potential horrors you may encounter. But at just over $100 per night, this was an abomination of a misleading "AirBnB". This was (one of) the only "rooms" available for "AirBnB" - it was clear that our neighbors on both sides, lived there permanently; boarded up windows, rugs, worn laundry hanging to dry... We are backpackers, so we're fairly easy to please and don't need much, but this did not live up to it's promise. The bathroom mirror medicine cabinet contained used toothbrushes, a brush with complimentary hair, and a flattened toothpaste tube. Clean and well-worn is one thing, but unsanitary and well-worn is a different monster when you're looking to sell a room as a hotel or AirBnb - or for anyone to stay in, for that matter, that's not a permanent resident. It's not okay to leave used (and grimy) toiletries; it would be better to leave nothing at all, and clean out the medicine cabinet, for heaven's sake. I can't think of a single person who would use someone else's well-used toothbrush! It's no wonder this Motel is hard to find, and goes by many different names. I really wanted to write this one up for it's charm, but it did not have any sparkle hiding in any corner, unfortunately. (And apparently I was so preoccupied with fighting arachnids, and attempting to balance my pack on the chair out of reach of ants, to take (or save?) many pictures. If I can find the rest, I'll post them.)
