There are no bargains here, you'll be paying more than ebay or Etsy on items that they get for free. Why don't they markdown items that don't sell? They wont negotiate on their prices either. This is a strict business which doesn't care if you return to patronage. They don't support our community, only their cause. And how do they support our veterans? I have no idea because they won't tell us. They should put out a new letter that documents what they're doing for our veterans with all of our donations. My husband is a proud veteran but gets no benefits from here. Oh, only a10% discount, and only if you have your discharge paperwork. There are NO BARGAINS HERE. They rarely have sales, only once in while and rarely have free things, items that won't sell but are basically broken down garbage which belongs in the landfill, with the exception of books, lp's and dvd's or vhs. Nothing good or useful. Moreover, the staff is unwilling to negotiate prices, indicating a strict business approach that does not prioritize customer loyalty. They are not friendly and somewhat rude and snotty, especially the young man cashier, he's just rude and uncaring. I find it disconcerting that they scrutinize donations and selectively accept only items they deem saleable. As a result, we no longer donate to this organization. Why do I come back? With hopes that some day it will get better. Especially after reading all the similar negative and disparaging reviews, it's not just me who sees all the unfavorable things here. Its our community speaking, please listen to your community and act accordingly.

I feel it's important to report a disturbing experience that I recently had at Spirals Consignment…read morein Pacific Grove. I brought a clothing/shoe consignment in to Spiirals which included 2 beautiful high end leather jackets, both in excellent condition. In the past, within a day or two, I would receive a list of the items received by the shop. After a week I did not receive a list so I stopped by to ask and was told by Abby, the manager, that they were low on staff and volunteers and therefore, no list. I went to the back room and saw that all of my conslgned clothes were hanging on a rack there. I waited another week and returned to the store to find that my clothes were still in the back room but about to be put out on the floor. When I returned the following week I found that some of my clothes were out on the floor but no leather jackets. I asked if they were sold and I was told that they had to check to see where they were. They did not get back to me so I, again, returned to the store and was told the jackets could no be found, probably due to theft. Both jackets disappeared. Spirals accepts no responsibilty for theft or damage. Needless to say this was a very frustrating, disappointing and unpleasant experience. Potential consignors beware.

When the 2 months is up you have 2 options: 1. Come find and get your items or 2. Your remaining items will go on the $1 sale. My daughter and I are frequent consignees here. From time to time we will purchase clothing, but what my daughter and I really love getting are the puzzles. The price point is perfect, all pieces are accounted for and when you do a puzzle 1 or 2 times then we usually are done. The owner of the store is very personable and kind. I'm going to give it to my nine-year-old granddaughter. Also found a painting that was ironically done by an artist who lives nearby me and I texted her and she said it was one of her very early works that she did when she and her husband were traveling in Kenya Africa and that she barely even remembered it. I got it for $4.99. Her work usually sells for anywhere from five to $10,000. The downside of the store is the women's section is all nicely divided by color but not by size so you have to go through every single item to find the different sizes. The men's section is neither divided by color or size it just everything's just stuck on the rack and again you have to go through every single item to find what you're looking for. The last thing is the girl at the front cash register was really very disengaged and borderline rude when we were checking out I kept trying to ask her a question and she kept interrupting me or talking over me or just totally ignored that I was there talking. Also, the other problem with the store is it is right next to a very, very busy Ross department store a Chuck E. Cheese and a gun shop.
