The staff was pleasant, the clothing was pretty, and the prices were reasonable, but there was almost nothing for women who are mid-sized (sizes 10,12, 14.) I think the target audience is petite women and juniors. They're missing a huge opportunity because the majority of women in the US are a size 14 or larger. read more

My husband purchased a couple of accessories for our daughter. Unfortunately the items were not in her style. I emailed the company that night and called them the next day. Apparently their policy is final sale on these items, which is unfortunate since she never tried them on, still had tags on, just not her style. I understand store policies but also deeply value customer service, I asked if they could be returned for a different color, style and the sales person was not willing to work with me. I still have never received a response from anyone from the store. I do not recommend buying anything from there. I usually shop local but their customer service is ZERO! read more

I used to love this store, but ever since they moved out of their original location it's like they completely changed their vibe and buying style. Everything is poor quality, the hippy print flowers are terrible (and every season!) and I'm not sure who they're catering to anymore. It's not even on trend with actual trends, it's really confusing and my daughters and coworkers feel the same. Shame since there's no where to really shop. I went with my wife inside the store on Saturday. My wife needed a white outfit that was on the website. When we went in my wife asked the white lady worker that was working where could she find the outfit that was on the website. The lady responded very rudely and said it's right there in the front if we have any but did not look up at us when she was talking. We then were looking around the store and she kept following us organizing everything my wife would touch. I felt uncomfortable with the worker just following us. I will not let my wife shop in there anymore. The customer service was just horrible and there prices are expensive for the worker to have that kind of attitude. read more

I've been going to Bliss Boutique for about 8 years now. I first walked in in 2011 for my prom dress back when they had catalogs there to order from. I would go back and find cute tops there too occasionally. I used to work in Monterey at a bank and a lot of the clothes I got from Bliss was really easy to dress up for work or to dress down when I was off. A lot of people would ask me where I got certain pieces from and now Monterey peeps have a store close by ! I've always been happy with the service, the attention to detail and the helpfulness at this store. I like to take advantage of their yearly sale. But when I feel like spoiling myself, I do it here only! The price is fair for what you get. I get some pieces dry cleaned and hand wash a lot of the things I get there. It's all about maintenance with clothing. I recommend this place to any girl that's looking for something different that any other Salinas clothes store can't offer. read more

Bliss is truly one of my favorite places to shop. I came in for the first time because I had received a gift card. But let me tell you, that's all it took. Bliss continues to offer such cute and trendy clothes. In addition, Bliss' selections give me an opportunity to try wearing clothes I might not usually like. The staff are always kind and makes the shopping experience so easy and fun! My sister, cousins and I are loyal Bliss girls and will always look forward to new finds. The only thing that I find as a drawback is the pricing. But that is to be expected when you have this good quality clothes and accessories. I still feel the pricing is justified for what you get! The only store I enjoy shopping at. Here's why- 1. Great atmosphere. It feels like you are going through your most stylish friends closet! Very laid back and nicely decorated. 2. The girls are always there to help and always have the best suggestions without being pushy. 3. Great selection but not too broad that it's overwhelming. 4. If you don't want to dress like everyone else this is your place. They have unique pieces from shirts to shoes to jewelry and more. 5. I would say their prices match the quality of the clothes. VERY unfair return policy...recently everything on the website was 30% off--EVERYTHING-- so I ordered a dress which was enormous on me and not quite like it looked in the picture. I went in today to EXCHANGE, not return, the item, most likely for something even more expensive. The cashier told me no way, all "sale" items were final. Now....as everything was on sale, I had no choice but to buy this "on sale". Isn't that a bit of a different situation? Also, maybe they might be a little more lenient when buyers shop online, as there is a chance the item might not fit. Really, not even an exchange for a higher priced item? Not to mention the surly and defensive attitude of the cashier. I have spent plenty of $$$ at Bliss in the past, but I will never go back. This is no way to treat loyal customers. I will definitely spread the word to all of my friends and I hope the owner reads this. read more

Not happy at all ! Got so over charged I will never go back . I went back to show her the receipts she should have refunded me $38.00 I paid for a purses I didn't want and never left her store with . I bought a pair of shoes for $25.00 and a 38.00 purse I really didn't want but she already got me to purchase both after $66. 47. I choose A different purse for 99.00 the next total she charges me was $87.39. which she should have taken $38.00 off the $99.00 purse it should have cost me 60.. not $87. I asked for my money back she over charged me she only refund me $20. Not 38.00. she's not good business in my opinion . read more

The staff is nice to some people (except me) and may be willing to help their customers. It's just unfortunate that I am a first timer customer that couldn't exchange two items for a size that I needed after all....I'm pretty bummed that I couldn't get the exact help that I needed. I suppose that I can no longer shop here. Just a recommendation for customers be careful with the sizes you order and try your best to make sure the outfits you want will fit well because their isn't a guarantee that you can get your money back and or do a exchange even when it's much needed.. Went in today for a couple new summer items, and was very surprised at the amazing selection bliss had! They also had a 40% section which a nice girl pointed out or else i would've missed it, she engaged in conversation while helping me navigate the store snd made it a pleasant experience for my first time. 3.5 stars for cute, fashion forward clothing. 1/2 star taken for no returns only store credit, no price adjustments, and a slightly higher price point than desired. They just opened store in Monterey. Both stores carry a slightly different inventory a.k.a. it's not all the same at both locations, but mostly. I would call ahead if you're looking for something specific. NOTE: Sizes run small. Example: size Large is biggest size and is US WOMEN'S Size 8. Amazing boutique if you're in the area! Decor is shabby chic, cute, and the items for sale are adorable! The girl who helped me out was super sweet and helpful! I had felt bad because I accidentally broke a holiday ornament that was hanging on the tree but the girl was so sweet in making me feel better about it. Prices are not outrageous, and the accessories are unique and made well. I would compare the quality of the accessories on par to things from Anthropologie, and the stuff is super cute if not cuter. I went in there today looking for a some cute tops for a trip to Vegas and was ready to spend a chunk of change. While the store did have a great variety of cute clothes, I unfortunately left empty handed. I was ignored by all 3 girls working throughout my visit; no greeting, no offer to help, no acknowledgment at all. I am more of a plus size girl and I understand boutiques don't usually cater to that; however, I wear a Large top with no issues. After collecting 4 tops that I wished to try on, I asked one of the ladies if I could get a room. She said "No, they are full" and then walked away, approached another customer and told her she could hold her items while they waited for a room to open. Well, she made the choice not to get a $150+ sale today. I left, walked down to Lush Boutique, and spent my money there with the lovely employee Ari. So Bliss? What a nice Boutique. As soon as my girl and I walked in it was a zen like feel. So calm and soothing. With tranquil music playing in the bacground and different scented smells throught the boutique. The clothing was very nice and unique. A little expensive but not overly priced. As always my girl wishes they had more items in a size small (it's difficult being a petite). The one employee that was there this day was also kind, not pushy at all. She asked if we were finding everything ok and we were. Once she saw my arms with a few items that my love had selected she offered to set up a dressing room for her. As she continued shopping and accumilating items she kept setting them up in her dressing room. My girl loved it here and as a male I have to say I did as well. Saturday I came in to bliss boutique. This is the second time that the worker that was there made me feel awkward and felt I was been watched as I was shopping and she constantly kept asking me if I needed help but it was in a way of rushing me out. I really needed a last minute gift and head over heels was closed so I had no choice but to give it a try again at bliss boutique. As I was walking up to the register the worker was whispering to the other worker something about me. Her face looked so shocked when she noticed I saw her but I ignored and still went along with my purchase but I will not be returning back to shop here as this is not the first time I get bad customer service from the worker. read more

So I've never been inside Bliss until today and I realized that I'm not missing anything. The staff isn't friendly and flat out ignored me. They walked passed me without a greeting and almost bumped into me a few times,(a simple "excuse me" would have worked) but to the other lady that came in shortly after me the staff gave her their full attention. Maybe it's because I was dressed a bit more casual than the other customer was that they saw me as less or something. On top of that I wasn't too impressed with what the store has to offer. After trying them on at home I didn't like that they squeaked while walking. When returning back to the store the girls working were RUDE and SARCASTIC. Very cute clothes, every time I need an outfit, I go there. I do have mixed feelings, girls are nice and clothes are cute yet I feel it is a little over priced. I have had a couple of buttons come off on several tops and I had one top actually rip on my on several places. Went back to exchange it and the girl sent me next door to get it fixed at the tailor shop. Not only did I pay close to 40 for the top, I had to fork out another 20 for the fix and the work from the tailor was horrible. Tried wearing top again and realized it was ripped. Horrible return policy. I don't know how they stay in business. I bought my gf some clothes from here and lost the receipt and they wouldn't even give her store credit. Came here for a holiday sale they had a month ago and man was it packed with shoppers! Their festive set up made it fun with holiday treats and mimosas, all the girls working there had great energy and I loved my purchases! I really struggled over how many stars Bliss Boutique should get... I wanted to give it 5 stars because I love going in there and they have cute clothes, but I decided 4 would be more appropriate because even though I love the store I very seldom actually buy anything there. In fact, now that I think about it, the last time I made a purchase was waaay back when they were at their old location several blocks up the street. Went in there a few days ago and was kind of surprised because the clothes weren't as expensive as I remembered. Lots of cute clothes, just nothing I was looking for. I attended the spring sale today 5-22-21 and found some great things to purchase. I was a little disappointed when I was approached by one of the sales girls who told me I couldn't try on anything to see if they would fit. I know the items were a great deal but also wanted to see a mirror out there to at least put the clothes up and see if they would fit and did mention that to one of the sales girls. So I was selective in my purchases. I also made a stop at the main st store to see something my friend had on hold. There is where I came in contact with a very rude, sarcastic young girl behind the counter. I mentioned to them about not being able to try on anything at the sale and was told the item prices were so low and if that was a problem for me, I shouldn't attend the sale. I replied, Excuse me! This very rude girl then said, I heard you were harassing the salesgirls across the street. I responded, Harassed?? I merely stated to them what I was stating to you about not being able to try anything on or no mirror present at the sale. I ask for her name and she stated I don't have to give it to you! I was so angry, with the rudeness & sarcasm of this young girl and how she spoke to me in the store, I walked back across the st to speak to the manager Mia and told her I was very angry with the tone and sarcastic response I received from her worker. I also told Mia she needs to teach these young's girls she hires to run her store, how to treat the customers. And that it is no- no to be rude and sarcastic to ANY customer. I'm taking a break from this store and will stick with Head over Heels, who always, always has pleasant adult professionals running their store. read more
