I wouldn't exactly say this was a relaxing experience. She was late for the appointment by 20 min and didn't even acknowledge it. The extractions were a little rough and when I asked her about the two distinct markings on my face afterwards she responded pretty rudely about how I had deep blackheads in there and she had to get them out. I had let her know that I was pregnant beforehand just in case. She didn't explain everything she was putting on my face and when I asked about the retinol she was using she said it was ok for pregnant women. I researched it online afterwards and several sites say retinol is not recommended for pregnant women. I used a groupon for this visit and gave this feedback. I just received a pretty rude response telling me "You were told that there were NO contra indications with this product so PLEASE do not try and be the expert!! which part did YOU not understand?" Umm ok? Thank you for that response. (Still no acknowledgement of her lateness) I'm not trying to be an expert and I definitely didn't claim to be one. I merely expressed concern based on what I read online. For someone who does claim to be an expert in facials they should be a little more finessed in how they treat their clients and respond to their concerns. I probably won't go to an establishment that needs to advertise on Groupon next time. read more

My husband purchased a facial Groupon for me for Mother's Day to Kerri's Aesthetics. I was long overdue for a facial and looking forward to my experience. On the day on my initial appointment, unforeseen circumstances suddenly put me in a position where I was going to be 20+ minutes late so I contacted Kerri and she was (graciously) willing to reschedule so I could receive the full treatment at a later date. Kerri's serene and comfortable treatment room is located in a quiet room within a charming bungalow, which is now a small, inviting salon. Kerri greeted me, explained the full facial treatment and began her service. She is a very gifted aesthetician with the perfect touch. Her Murad skin care products are top notch and felt great on my skin. The service included and evaluation, cleansing, exfoliating, pore extractions, wonderful massage and fabulous mask. As an added bonus, Kerri also gave me a hand and arm massage, placing my hands into warm mitts to help the moisturizer penetrate. And then SHE MASSAGED MY FEET! When I say that is was literally a top to bottom service which was both restorative and rejuvenating, that is an understatement. My skin was glowing afterwards! I highly recommend Kerri for your aesthetic services and look forward to returning for future treatments. read more

I had been looking for a new dedicated aesthetician for awhile and I found her! Kerri is so gentle and her work environment is so relaxing and professional. Her location is in converted house / hair parlour / facial room. Very unique location with a very warm welcome tone! Kerri is extremely knowledgeable and is very confident. She doesn't have an agenda attached to her and isn't pushy to buy her products like other aestheticians I've been to. Very convenient location right on Carlsbad Blvd not too far from the 5 and the 78. I will be going to Kerri from now on for facials and any other treatment I will need! TOTALLY RECOMMEND! read more

My wife bought me a groupon deal for an hour long European facial. I thoroughly enjoyed the procedure but honestly didn't feel the love from Kerri. I was in her way. Never really felt welcomed to her spa. She was late for my procedure & was adamant that it was my fault. I will not return. Plenty of other spas that would love my business. read more

Cannot say enough good about Kerri. Have been going to her for about 5 years now. Sometimes once or twice a year, sometimes more (as the budget allows). The time spent on Kerri's table is so worthwhile. We often start off chatting and catching up and then Kerri get's down to business and I can drift off and relax, knowing I am in great hands, literally! She customizes each facial to what/how my skin is doing at the moment. I love that! And oh those foot/hand massages!!! I'd love to see her just for those. I had a facial with Kerri yesterday and what a treat! She has very confident hands, yet is very gentle and soothing with her facial massage. The treatment room has soft lights, beautiful music, a nice fan overhead, and the sound of a distant water drip from a small fountain. Lovely. She has three different lines she works with - Murad being the one she used on me. I know from experience that this is an excellent line. She explains exactly what she is doing as she does it and tells you what the product is suppose to do. She is not pushing product or making you feel like you need to buy from her. I wouldn't even give this business a one star rating! I bought a facial through Groupon as a gift for my teenage daughter, who had called multiple times to make an appointment two and a half weeks before the groupon expires. To find out she will not schedule an appointment before the groupon expires nor will she honor the groupon after the expiration date out of common courtesy. This is completely upsetting due to my daughter looking forward to her first facial experience. Note to those reading this review this buisness is closed Saturday through Monday. read more

I had a very different experience from some of those who wrote negative reviews. As an Esthetician myself, I was attracted to the products she uses: Murad, Epicuren, and Raya, which are all reputable products that I myself use. Her prices are affordable considering her years of experience. I am particular about technique and cleanliness, and I didn't think her extractions were rough at all, nor was her room cluttered. She has great machines and extensive products for her clients, which was impressive. Her facial bed is extremely comfortable and warm, and her music selection was relaxing. She massages your feet and hands and puts electric mitts (not oven mitts like someone wrote) on your hands after a brief hand massage. Her facial massage technique was so relaxing and thorough; not rushed or inconsistent like other facials I've had. It was evident to me that she had been doing this for 30 years because of her confidence in her technique and her knowledge of the skin. Very good facial! I had the "Red Carpet" facial by Epicuren. What appealed to me about this facial is that it's designed to give you that "glow and firmness" before a special event. I want to do this every month! I went to this salon using a living social voucher. Kerri was late to her appointment, really rough with extractions, and left me alone for a good part of the facial. This was my worst facial experience ever. Please stop trying to sell me on things when giving me a facial, and please clean up your extremely cluttered facial room. So i went a few months ago after i had finally convinced my two best girlfriends to get a facial (they had never had one). I did a lot of research to find what i thought would be the perfect first experience for them at a price that wouldn't break the bank. That's when I found a groupon to have a European facial here. Finding her shop was a little hard because i was looking for a sign that said spa not salon since i didn't realize it was connected to a hair salon (but if you are looking it is literally right next to the Naval academy). The shop was absolutely adorable! windows were painted and the place was decorated just in time for Halloween. everyone was very nice and made sure we were comfortable while we waited. I should have called ahead to see how many guests they take at once but it was only Kerri so it was a bit of a wait but it was fine. Kerri was very personable and easy to get along with. Both of my best friends had an amazing facial which was perfect since i didn't want their first experience to be the last. I was last and ready to relax. she had oven mitts to keep your hands warm (a little strange but much appreciated) and the bed was heated. The room was very small and had A LOT of stuff everywhere. relaxing was a tad hard but it was ok. when it came time for the extraction part of the facial it wasn't the best experience i have had. I have a few white heads that are very stubborn and i know that but Kerri took out a needle (which i have never had in any of my facials before). The needle hurt quite a bit and she just would not let up on getting everything out. i left with a giant red mark in the middle of my face which was only supposed to last a few hours. The redness didn't go away for almost 3 weeks and i still have a mark from where she was working. The over all experience was good for me but if marks are going to be left on my face for any amount of time (aside from the 2-3 hrs that it should if anything) I'm not going back. read more

Sorry there aren't 10 stars. Kerri is absolutely amazing. I have had facials in many parts of the world and here in the US and Kerri ranks right up there at the top. She is kind, thoughtful, and as gentle. Her supplies are excellent and she is always seeking little upgrades to make a wonderful experience even more wonderful.
