Everyone I spoke to at Geico was very helpful and knowledgeable........ unfortunately that only lasted 6 months and out of the blue they decided to raise my rate by $50 a month for absolutely no reason !!!! Came in to renew my insurance as my current insurance policy expired today. I asked my friend group which insurance they recommended me and half of them told me that they use geico. So I had farmers insurance for about 10 years or so then I actually tried to whole "save 15% in 15 minutes". Well I don't remember the amount of time, but I'm sure it was well over 15 minutes, but I saved around 50%. My premiums for me and my wife went from around $3800 a year down to $2000 with better coverage. I can't quiet compare since now I have road side assistance as well as mechanical damage coverage. I have compared this to around 10 different companies and they are by far the lowest as well as have great customer service. I had my whole family change as well and they all saved around 30-50%. Thank you Geico, the only thing that I don't like is that I cannot insure more expensive exotic cars so in the future I'll have to look for a separate insurer for those. read more

They dont even deserve the 1srar given.I truly suggest you to shop around before going with Geico. I called them on 1/05/2018 and after the agent reviewed a couple things on my driving record I was given a quote of $126.24 a month my premium was $728.28. Two days later 1/08/2018 I recieve a email stating a change in my policy due to them reviewing my driving record and changed my monthly to $159 & premium of $899.38. I called and the same things they speak of thats on my driving record are the exact same things the guy mentioned when giving me my initional quote. I really feel catfished they just gave me a number to lock me in now telling me sorry theres nothing we can do I no longer want them and will be switching tomorrow. read more

Peeved. Had Geico for auto insurance some 2+ years, contacted the local agent to get a quote on homeowner's insurance. The agent attempted to barrel me into a policy by demanding my brokers information after my expressing multiple times that I was gathering quotes from several insurers, and would pick the one I felt most comfortable with. Nasty attitude, pushy sales tactics, insufficient apology. Sorry guys, you just lost my auto policy as well. These agents need to learn a bit about listening to their customers and common courtesy. My mom and I went to this Geico location in a bit of a pinch as our car insurance through Allstate was simply too expensive and was set to expire in 24 hours. I had previously gotten a quote online for Geico and when the baseline price was much more agreeable, I convinced my mom to go into the office with me so we could work out the details of the policy with an actual agent. We walked in and everyone was busy, but Andrei Totoescu made sure we were comfortable while he finished his call and then proceeded to help us out. With my reference number in hand, finding the price I was quoted online was no problem, but Andrei went through each bit of coverage step by step to make sure we understood exactly what was included, and was able to make recommendations based on our needs. In the end, we walked out with the same amount of coverage we had with the old company, but at nearly half the price. We'll likely give Andrei a call when our home insurance is due too! I've been looking for a new car insurance company since my recent one was charging a too much for full coverage which was not in my budget anymore. I mean after being with them for over 3 years no discount . So I finally settled on GEICO because I've been hearing great reviews from family and friends. I get a email from OSMAN MELGAR from GEICO with all the details of how much my policy will be a month including any taxes/fees with information on my coverage a full breakdown what a professional. I email him back and get a call next day (which is today) and I'm so excited to be paying less with the same full coverage I had before like hell yeah!!! OSMAN was great he explained my coverage again over the phone and I am completely satisfied and excited to join the GEICO family. After another sleazy insurance company raised my premium $90.00 for no reason (other than greed), I started shopping & called Geico. After some discussion, I was given a quote for $547.78 for 6 months for a basic, minimum policy. The agent asked for my credit card number, which I provided. Today, I received my policy & the declaration page indicated $606.00 for the premium. I spoke to two different people in their billing department & neither was able to explain why my premium increased. All they could come up with, was: "It's $606.00." I cancelled the policy. Any company that's willing to lose a customer because he won't allow himself to be ripped off for $58.22 doesn't deserve my business. read more

Even after talking with the manager, who was extremely rude to me, he refused to make any apology for the trouble they had caused me.
