Each member of the community from the owner to the director, nurses, med techs, recreation leaders, dining hall and maintenance staff, and reception folks, are friendly, positive, trusted, and devoted. The facility is a beautiful-all brand new with lots of natural light. The residents are served three healthy and very good meals, offering a lot of variety and choice. Activities such as art classes, live music, happy hours, and entertainment, are provided daily and well attended. We have used their modern and cozy community spaces to hold family get-togethers to make it easier for my mom and have sat out in the pretty courtyard where flowers are planted and tended to. There is also a very beautiful Chapel that is in the center of the building and used daily for spiritual reflection. The grounds are well maintained and the space inside is immaculate. Most of all, my mom's health is better than it has been in years. We attribute this to the consistent medication schedule, social environment, and individualized care. There is no more having to go out to doctor's appointments or the pharmacy since all of that is monitored by the medical staff. When we visit with mom now, we visit; we do not have to worry about all the care details that distracted us. We are so grateful to all at Fredonia Place.

That is a complete lie in their commercials. very disappointed that I could not receive help for my father because I work. I hope this changes someday because I know that there are other people out there just like me struggling to take care of a loved one alone!!!!!!!!

Canterbury Woods in Williamsville is a CCRC and serves residents who are totally independent to…read morethose who need Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing or Memory Care. A person must be at least 62 to be accepted and must come in at the Independent level. There are several financial packages available. Whatever the rental cost of their apartment in Independent will be the same cost if the resident requires any of the other services as time goes on. In Independent Living, where I am most familiar, meals are provided in two fine restaurants and a cafe, and weekly cleaning is provided if you want it. Many people compare the living culture here with that of a cruise ship - there is access to a pool with a daily aqua aerobic class; yoga classes, balance and other exercise classes are available as well. There are also art classes; assorted classes in various topics by resident college professors; and to top is off there is a theater where professional and amateur performances are readily presented to the community and residents needn't even going outside. There is also a convenience store manned by volunteers and a Weekly Happy hour with music, wine and snacks. There is so much more! In my opinion after living here for eight years, I think it's a fine place to retire!

I searched around and came across Help at your home and I now have my husband home and when I tell you the change that came overnight because of the caring and constant compassion he's received from this company has helped my husband in so many ways. Because of the care he is now receiving, I see a light at the end of the tunnel when before that I saw nothing but darkness. Caring for an aging or disabled loved one is so challenging, I wasn't able to do everything that my mother needed during her end of life care. Help at home helped me care for her and keep her home instead of alone in a facility.

I like it. It's a clean facility. Sometimes you go into a nursing home and it reeks of feces and…read moreurine. This facility is not like that. It doesn't smell like that at all. Edit: I couldn't smell anyway. I didn't smell anything because I couldn't smell and didn't realize until I cleared my sinuses with peppermint oil then went to the facility. I smelled everything that day. It's still not overwhelming and disgusting but it isn't a scent free facility. Edit: I do see cleaning staff but I also recognize which ones clean well and which ones don't do much at all. I've seen cleaning staff and aids keep the facility clean. It appears well stocked. There is an employee break room that has a wall of snack for purchase and there is a freezer and refrigerator with prepared for and frozen food items for purchase. The staff seem cool. Edit: it's really not as clean as originally stated. It isn't a dirty facility but it depends what unit ure on how clean it is. Now that I have seen every side of every unit I recognize what's clean abs what's not. There have been some plumbing issues as well nothing major though. Also I'm just finding out from staff that the residents tend to use the staff restrooms. Absolutely not okay with that. The facility is always short staffed. Every single day. I don't understand why. That's the down side.
