Terrible place, stay away- SKETCHY. Save your money and go somewhere they are knowledgeable about the warranties they offer. They ruined my lifetime warranty by resizing my ring through the "wrong company" even though they told me I didn't get the warranty. This ring was purchased four years ago and finally given to my fiancé so I didn't recall if I got the warranty. I asked too and they looked at their screen and said I didn't. I had to pay out of pocket for a resizing just to find out they "didn't look in the right spot" to check for my warranty. Now that they've touched my ring - my warranty is void. TERRIBLE. read more

It takes A LOT for me to even think about writing a bad review. So here it is. My first visit to the Escondido location was wonderful, however, the second, was a complete disappointment! Sad to say that my experience in coming back and being "helped", if that's what you want to call it, by Sarah, was horrendous. From the moment we stepped foot into Kevin Jewelers at Escondido, Sarah almost completely ignored my entire family. Not only that, by the time Sarah finally approached us, she was immediately rude and talking down to us like we shouldn't be there. Any questions we had, she turned them into a concern and did not alleviate any worries we had about purchasing their products to begin with. Every, if any, answer we received from her was NO and she didn't offer any other options. In fact, the only reason she contacted another location to help us find what we were looking for, was because I requested she do so. Sarah was so horribly rude to the point that when we asked if one of the gold jewelry that was marked 14k was in fact 14k because it felt so light, Sarah immediately laughed in our faces like we were idiots for even asking a small question because she automatically assumed any question we had was incompetent, maybe because we were of color? Come to find out myself that the piece she was huffing and puffing about was printed with 10k on the side of the earring...At which point she just rolled her eyes and going to the back room to change the label without even offering a simple apology! Disgusting customer service! She is the sole reason I will never return to Kevin Jewelers Escondido and will tell everyone I know to do the same. What a horrible way to treat a returning optimistic customer! The other employees at Escondido except for Sarah, was wonderful on our first visit. I have never ever written a review for any type of business because I felt like it wasn't worth my time or energy. After working with Maria at Kevin Jewelers however, i knew that this place needed to be highlighted. Maria was extremely helpful and knowledgeable the first time around when I was looking for an engagement ring for my fiancé. I walked out of the store feeling confident in the ring that I had chosen. Fast-forward about a month later, my girlfriend texts me several pictures of a completely different style of ring that she absolutely fell in love with. She completely changed her ring style on me and I was stuck with the one that I had purchased from Kevin Jewelers a month prior! I frantically grabbed the receipt and saw that no refunds or exchanges were accepted after 7 days of purchase. With only one month left until I popped the question I knew I had to move fast to try to sell the old ring and get my money back for a new one. After several failed attempts I decided to take my chances and go back to Kevin Jewelers. Thankfully, Maria was there and I explained the whole situation. She grabbed the old ring, put it to the side and said "Don't worry about the return policy; let's find the right one that she'll love." I can't tell you the feeling of relief I got when she said those words. We found the perfect ring and the rest was history. I popped the question a month later and my fiancé was absolutely IN LOVE with the ring I had chosen the second time around. I shared with her the predicament that she put me in when she texted me a month prior saying she had switched her ring style. I showed her a photo of the old ring and she said that the new ring was 100% better than the one I had previously chosen. I told her how helpful Maria was in helping me find the perfect ring for her. Walked-in to the Kevin Jewelers boutique at the Westfield North County Fair to maybe do some shopping and I was greeted with a smile by an associate who I spoke with before in the past. Loved to see a familiar face even in the midst of a pandemic. I inquired about watches and talked about buying/selling and what inventory this associate had. They showed a watch behind the glass that they said was from the 90's in which it was priced at $14,000 (two-tone Datejust by the way). As I asked them if he had any more watches they mentioned that they had Submariners in the back but only has them out and sells them during the weekends for $16,000. Fair enough. I then asked ALEC, knowing their name was ALEC as they are very recognizable for obvious reasons in addition to speaking with them in the past, and they told me their name was JASON. Funny enough they all of a sudden became dismissive and seemed as if they wanted nothing to do with me. Shortly after leaving I called Kevin Jewelers and asked for "Jason" in which I was told that there was no "Jason". Normally I don't write reviews like this, but in the watch & jewelry business; trust and transparency is key and it seems like Alec/Jason has something to hide! It seems as if Alec/Jason does not respect they establishment and could care less. And if Alec/Jason is even the owner of the establishment, I'm taking my business elsewhere as there are owners who display better customer service. Thank you! read more
