I have had nothing but great experiences with Seta at Kevin Jewlers. Kevin has some of the most unique and beautiful jewlery (especially compared to the other jewlery stores in the mall). I was looking to upgrade my wedding set for our 20 year anniversary and Seta was so patient and kind with myself and my mom, who also ended up getting a necklace. There were some incredible sales going on and I found a set that I didn't think I would be able to afford. Because of the sale, I was able to also get a matching set of earrings and necklace. Very awful customer Service. The worst! I stopped today at the Glendale Galleria location because I wanted my wedding ring to be cleaned since I bought it there back in December 2020 and it hasn't been clean since. In December 2020 I was told that whenever I stopped by the mall I could stop by to get it cleaned. So after 3.5 years I finally decided to stop by and to my surprise the Manager Stella Varjabedian treated me as if I was a liar and not a previous customer or future customer. She insisted on looking up my name or husband's name to verify that the ring was purchased there otherwise they couldn't clean it. She stated it was the company's policy. Back in 2020 as I was looking into upgrading my wedding band, the sales woman offered to clean my old wedding band diamond as I was looking at their wedding rings. They provided a complimentary cleaning to my old ring that was purchased at Robin Brothers Jewelry store BUT today She (Stella) wouldn't clean the ring I bought from them 3.5 years ago because I needed to show proof I bought it there. Very awful customer service. I was even considering on upgrading my diamond size and adding another piece of jewelry to match my ring but after today's experience, Kevin will not be a store to consider doing business with. I will spread around the bad experience with all my friends, acquaintances, and family to not shop at this jewelry store. Something else I observed is that her customer service was better toward this Armenian guy who was making a purchase and whose credit card kept getting declined. I told the guy he shouldn't buy anything because it wouldn't get cleaned so the manager immediately stated that the guy was her cousin. Very disappointed that a large company like this would display on google and yelp that they open at 10am when they really open at 11am. When i arrived the store was open and they asked me to leave because they were not officially opened. I went into Kevin's Jewlers today in Valencia, as I normally do when I am at the mall, and to my surprise, I had the worst customer service experience ever. I needed to drop off a ring I bought 17 months ago because a diamond fell out, and I had purchased a warranty plan. Although I called prior to coming to make sure they had the information in their computer program, it was quite interesting to see how three different people, including the manager, had to look me up. After they found me in the system, they wrote up an envelope and put my ring in it. I asked them to please look at my wedding rings that they had separated and applied the rhodium for, and they couldn't find the information they gave me about that warranty. When I decided to take a picture of the envelope they put my ring into, one of the employees became rude, and she said, "You have a receipt" in an extremely nasty way. The receipt didn't have anything on it except replace a missing stone. She then stormed off, and I told the manager that she needed to speak to her about customer service and being rude. The employee came back in, walked up to me, and said, "It takes one to know one." I was really shocked. The manager didn't even attempt to apologize for her employee's actions. Take your hard earned money to a local jewlery store instead where they treat you with the class you deserve! These employees all need training in retail sales and how to treat ALL customers like they matter to their business success. read more

I wish I could give them 0 stars. The lady was rude and argued with me in the store. She told me I was being too picky on my wedding band and I should just deal with it. I informed her that I am the one that has to wear it and see it so I'm not going to just deal with it. I have a call into corporate and will see what happens. My husbands ring is a problem too. They sold us his knowing it was too big and said since they couldn't promise his correct size would here in time for the wedding. They put a note in the computer saying we could come back after and they would exchange for the correct size. Today they tell us it is a $50 restocking fee to have the correct size sent to us. My wife called me in tears. She went to have her wedding ring looked at. The prongs were loose and her diamonds were in danger of falling out after just 2 years of owning them. They quoted $650 to repair. I was led to believe when I bought the engagement/wedding ring that I had a lifetime warranty on them. The diamonds would be replaced. BUT they won't honor a lifetime warranty if the diamonds are loose. She will not have Kevin's Jewelers in Valencia touch her ring. She is taking it to another jewelry repair shop and we will never ever buy another piece of jewelry from Kevin Jewelers in Valencia. Also they refused to honor a warranty we purchased for dipping. Short version: very friendly, reasonable, and well priced. There were some service issues that bring the grade down. Full version: By the time I came here, I had been engagement ring shopping for a month. Out of 7 or 8 stores I went to before Kevin Jewelers, they were the first one to "start low." What I mean is, every other jeweler started with their top end product, and worked their way down. Here at Kevin, they had a much better approach. I explained what I wanted and was presented with the lowest budget option fitting my needs. I'm not cheap, but I felt it was a respectful way to start on their end. They didn't have what I wanted, so we found it in their catalog and ordered it. After some negotiating, we agreed on a price. I have to say, they were very reasonable with their haggling. If everything worked out as planned, this would be a 5 star review. However, as I had a feeling it would be the case, the order was messed up. The ring came in and the diamond looked great, but it was on the wrong band. It was on a white gold band when it was supposed to be a diamond studded band, as I had been shown and confirmed with them multiple times on my initial visit. They offered to switch the band, but only if I paid extra for it. That irked me a lot, because I shouldn't have to pay extra for what I was promised from the start. After discussing that issue at length, they gave in and fixed the problem. A second issue: they told me to bring the ring back any time after I proposed and they could resize it the same day, for free. My fiancee (who loves the ring), brought it in and was told a week just to resize it! She told them she was in a rush, and they told her it could be done the next day. Once it was resized, there's now a black mark behind one of the small diamonds on the band. We will have to take it back again to have that checked out. read more

Terrible customer service from kym I am unsure how she is still working there Shame on the company for keeping such a horrible customer service individual or should I say lack of customer service skills. I purchased my ring February of this year and kym was very nice and eager to help us make that sale then and there even though we wanted time to think about it she pressured us into making the purchase. We immediately began to have issues with my ring set which a small diamond fell only weeks after I purchased it. Wow just wow I was at a loss for words when I went in to have them fix it kym was very rude blaming me for the issue saying due to them having to size down my ring so much it should've been custom made for me yet when we bought the ring why didn't she mention that? Went in again weeks later to have my rings cleaned and kym said the large diamond was loose and I would have to pay to have it fixed. At this point we had only had the ring for about two months since it was at their location for so long since I got it due to all these issues and them having to "fix" it. I highly recommend you to elsewhere for any major purchases as their customer service is horrible once issues arise which they will as I've seen with my experience and other reviews. My fiancé and I walked to every jewelry store at the Valencia mall and at each store he was sized at 10-10.5 for a looser fit. He saw a ring at Kevin jewelers that he really liked and when they sized him, according to them he was a size 11. Not sure how that can happen. Especially since every jewelry store is at least 50 steps away from each other and Kim the manager says it's from the heat or from ingesting too much salt, etc. I shrugged it off and let her talk. We special ordered the ring in gold at a size 11. When it arrived at the store 4 weeks later we came by and it was way too big. I knew she was wrong. We gave it back to them and the original plan was to get their jeweler to resize it for free. I get a call the next day and Kim said the jeweler refused to resize it because it wouldn't look right. They returned it back to the main store instead and ordered a size 10 which would take another 4-6 weeks. At the 5 week mark I called since I haven't heard anything from them. Christian/Chris answered the phone and I asked him what the status of my order was. He looked in his system and said it's on the way and is marked shipped. He didn't seem confident in his response and sounded unsure like he had no clue about what he was doing. Then he said we will call you when it's ready. I call a week later that following Monday and Kim answered the phone. She said that the ring was still on order! It's been 6 weeks! I told her that and she said she would email the main store and will call me the next day. I get a call 2 days later from her saying the ring will be here that Friday and that she will call me, which she did. I go and pick up the ring and Christian and some other guy I've never seen before are facing the back towards the computer and Kim is on the phone with her back towards me as well. I stood there for 2-3 minutes without anyone even knowing I was there. Finally Christian saw me in the corner of his eye and asked if he could help me. I told him I was there to pick up my custom order. Kim got off the phone and took control of the ring. As she was taking it out of the envelope I asked Christian why he told me the ring was shipped and on it's way when it really wasn't. He had no recollection of the conversation. Kim then starts patronizing me saying that my fiancé needs to see her if the ring doesn't fit and basically blames him for the wrong sizing. Her voice is so loud and she started arguing with me saying that the system doesn't show the information correctly and that Christian didn't know what was going on with the order and that next time to talk to her directly since he's only there 3 days a week. I'm thinking, why is he answering the phone and helping customers if he doesn't know what's going on? Don't you have notes in the system or communication here? She kept going on and on and on about it's my fiancé's fault the ring didn't fit. That SHE made the call to get a new ring instead of getting it resized as a favor. Did you forget that you said the jeweler refused to size it? Forgetting your lies I guess. Bottom line, I feel they either forgot to reorder and bought some time or they are just completely unorganized and don't know what they're doing. I'm not dealing with this store anymore and don't recommend this store to anyone unless you want to deal with a loud and obnoxious manager and clueless staff. read more
