I will never (ever ever ever ever) shop or use Zales' services again. I'll try to keep this short. I really should contact their corporate office. It's been over a year and I just couldn't get myself to continue working with them after they completely messed up my wedding ring. I originally took it in for a repair. No idea what I did, but the middle band was bent pretty badly. They quoted $50 (which was way less than I figured) so I went ahead with it. When I got it back, the gold spacer had been removed, the 3 bands didn't line up vertically or horizontally, and the prongs were crooked. Now, I'm a pretty easy going person and typically not one to complain when something isn't "perfect", but this is my wedding ring- I want it done right. I wanted it back looking like new, or very very close. Spoke with the manager and she agreed it wasn't a good job. She said they'd put on a brand new prong and return it looking like new. I should add I was without my ring for months throughout this process. When I got it back, apparently the jeweler had done a "repair" to the inset diamonds on one of the outside bands. You could see the soldering marks (I guess that's what they do). Very sloppy job. They tried to pass off the "fixed" prong as the new prong they promised. The solitaire somehow must've gotten chipped as well because it is *so sharp!* I constantly get scratched, my young daughter gets her hair caught on it, etc. I told them I wasn't happy with the repair and I just wanted my ring back! Months go by and my husband bought me a sapphire ring- from Zales. Ugh. I had told him to stay away from that place, but bless his heart! I had to get the new ring sized at Zales. I wasnt going to say anything, but I did. Of course they remembered me. Even though some time had passed, they remembered how bad it was. The manager said they'd get it all fixed up, the new prong etc etc. I gave them another chance (and spent $500 at this point). When I got it back it was still so sharp! I told them that before- it kept scratching my daughter, who was 5 at the time. She even chimed in and said it kept hurting her! The manager said I could bring it back for repairs, but I haven't- I am still just so angry and honestly, terrified of the jeweler's incompetence. Anyway, I'm sitting here with a daily reminder (every time I get scratched, my daughter gets scratched, a shirt gets snagged etc) it's a reminder of the crappy job they did. Totally messed up my wedding ring. I need to go get it fixed, but it won't be there!!!!!!! read more

I went to zales today and I really had the best experience! I had purchased a Diamond necklace last year and I took it off and it got tangled. We went to pick out our rings for our wedding at this Zales and our sales guy, Levi was extremely helpful. He showed us around and once we explained to him what exactly we were looking for, he lead to a couple of cases. My hubby knew right away what kind of ring he wanted and that is a tungsten ring but as for me, I didn't know but I knew I wanted something classic and I didn't want a ring that I knew everyone had or at least the same style. It seems like all the ladies have the same style and I like to be different and original. I added a picture and I went with a marquis ring and a simple band with little diamonds and we had to get them resized since they were a little tight. I went there asking a question about my ring. The lady kept telling me that it was "low quality" and kept asking me if it was sterling silver when it's white gold. I told her that her comment was rude and she said it wasn't. She then kept trying to sell me different rings. I don't want a different ring. The ring i have is perfect and i love it. She honestly hurt my feelings making it seem like my ring had no value. That is not how you sell/keep a customer. She kept saying "low quality, it's too small, diamond is not even big, when you're in a better place in life return it and get one that costs more money" like excuse me.... She was checking the item and then she asked me if I wanted a warranty, and I said does it already have a warranty, and she said no. She then checked the price of the item, chuckled and nodded her head back and forth, and said that they probably don't offer a warranty for "cheap" items. I also ordered my item with a message because it is a gift and It wasn't included. I have had a long time issue with Zales that caused me to no longer give them my business. Ring cleaning was a slow process and always had to go back to the store due to poor cleaning and lack of interoffice communication. This caused me to loose months of enjoyment from my purchase over its lifetime. I complained to the store in Stoneridge and was not assisted then I escalated to Zales Corp. At that time Jesse entered the picture and started to try and put the pieces back together and actually treat me with respect and care that is deserved. This was a long process and in the end it was finalized and all parties were as happy as could be considering. My trust in Zales was still broken though and I cringed when thinking about my next cleaning for my ring. Fast Forward 6 months. I re established contact with Jesses and found out he is located in Santa Clara at mall, we talked over the phone and picked up where we left off 6 months ago. Jesse handled this situation with the utmost professionalism, empathy and care that i could ask for. He made sure all my concerns were met and understood and was transparent along the way. He personally took care of overseeing my ring cleaning while keeping me in the loop with phone calls and emails along the way. My ring came back and looked amazing in every way, almost better than when it was when it was brand new and all my concerns were addressed and I could not be happier with this process. I will be taking my ring back to this store and Jesse everytime moving forward. A little trust has been restored in Zales due to Jesses efforts and over the top customer service, know this man cares about you and your merchandise and will do everything in his power to make it right in every way. I'll give Zales credit for their customer service. It's good and they offer to clean up your jewelry while you look around the store. However, their sales people can be a little sleazy. My Fiancé and I recently got engaged and we were looking for a wedding band for my oval shaped ring. This particular sales person looked at my ring, picked a ring guard, and showed it to us how "perfectly it fit". Wow we fell in love with the ring guard but we wanted to look around. That sales person, an older woman with dark hair kept pushing us to purchase the ring guard. We kept saying no, we will come back. After looking for ring band and ring guards at other stores, the only "perfect" ring guard that fit my complicated oval ring was Zales. We decided to purchase that ring guard a week later. When we returned, there were 2 other sales people who weren't too pushy and were very kind. My Fiancé and I pointed out the band we were initially shown. The sales people told us that ring guard didn't fit. We told them it did fit, and how the other sales lady (she wasn't there at the time) showed us and told us.The sales people pushed my ring on that ring guard, and yep they were right, it did not fit. We ended up leaving, having the impression that some sales people are just too thirsty for money and commission in that store. So if anyone decides to go to Zales, do some homework about jewelry, and beware of lying, thirsty and pushy sales people. read more

We have had an absolutely horrible experience with this place. We bought our wedding bands here at the beginning of January for our wedding on 1/8/18. My ring was too big and I brought it in to be sized around the 16th. The woman at the counter told me it would take 2 WEEKS to get it back. I was having major surgery and wouldn't be able to put it back on until the 24th so I agreed. My husband picked it up on 1/31 and it was the same size it had been when I had dropped it off. By now I was in tears because I'm still recovering from surgery and this was something that would've made me feel much better, having my wedding band on my finger throughout everything else I'm going through. So my husband takes it right back and they tell him it'll be one week and he can pick it up on the 7th. Yesterday, the 5th, they had the nerve to call and say the jeweler is backed up so is it okay if they get it back to us on the 12th? No it's not okay!!! We're regretting ever going into this store and if it wasn't for the fact that we used those rings for our vows we'd return them. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. I'm completely heartbroken that I'm going through breast cancer treatment and I STILL don't have my ring back! read more

12/4/2017 I bought a $600 diamond ring, 2 hours later I changed my mind about it and returned it and bought a $1,700 ring instead! The way the Sales person and Mgr. handled the transaction was Totally Wrong! I told them it was going to come back and bite me later! It Did!!!They Never credited me the return ring and I fought with them for a year about it, I sent them all the receipts Again!!! and I Finally after 13 months received a letter that concurred what I had been telling them! The letter Never apologized for the BS they put me through the amount of time I had to spend on the phone arguing my case, the numerous times I actually went to their store, and to Top it off they sent me to collections! For THEIR mistake! In the letter I received from them They said they would contact the credit bureau and tell them. When I was a young, idealistic, naive young man, I proposed to a wonderful lady on bended knee with a beautiful diamond engagement ring purchased at Zales, that costed me nearly 6 months salary at the time. Good news is that me and the wonderful lady are still together after many years. Bad news is that one of the prongs on her ring needed to be adjusted to keep the stone from coming loose. Worse news? Zales wanted to charge us $140 just to adjust the prong, even though they had computerized records showing that I had purchased it from them. Their excuse was that we chose to put the stone in a platinum setting (also purchased and done at Zales), so it invalidated the warranty. Such bullshit is bad form, Zales. The wife took the ring across the street to Classic Designs, who adjusted the prong for free! How sad that they lost a customer (who was shopping for an anniversary band, BTW) over a such a simple thing. Screw you for life, Zales. read more
