I regrettably had my truck towed to Kevin's. I had called him to approve the tow and to see if he had time to look at it, he agreed and i gave him my number. I had AAA tow it that day and he said he'd call once he had a look at it. Days went by, a week went by. I had tried stopping by a few times to switch the keys (he had my full key ring and i needed to give him my spare) and he was never ther, but my truck was and it was unlocked every time i stopped by which i thought was off putting. I had my friend switch the keys eventually when i was at work and he claimed to not have my number, my friend gave it to him again, and yet he still did not call me. Kevin did not call to approve the work he did or even to let me know it was done. I finally got into the shop to see what was going on to find that my truck had been stolen off his property. He denied any liability and basically said tough luck. So basically i do not recommend Kevins automotive unless you potentially want to not have a car anymore. I am more than bummed and heartbroken over losing my classic 70's chevy Kevin is the worst. read more

He tried to "save us money" by hunting and pecking for three days, never fixing our truck just to have our truck now at a different shop! Horrible service and very disrespectful. He wouldn't even write me out a receipt for the week long work he supposedly did but would like to charge me $800 for a problem that wasn't even fixed. After visiting the local Dodge dealership, they spent 2 hrs & wanted $1000 to repair our Dodge 4x4. We decided then to take it to Kevin instead (should have done that 1st). Kevin & Jason had the job done in 5 mins! No matter what the problem, Kevin can get the job done! So while Kevin didn't actually do any work on my car, he was VERY helpful when I really needed the help and would recommend his services to others. I was rear ended (very hard!) while vacationing over the weekend near Sonora and ended up being towed here pretty much at random by roadside assistance. On Monday morning I called and talked to Kevin and he took a look at the car for me, informed me that I had really extensive damage that would take a while to fix. He recommended a different shop in town that he thought would do a better job on my vehicle make and offered to help me get the car there. He also suggested I get the car towed back home, which is what I ended up doing. He also offered to talk to my insurance company when they were hassling me about giving me a rental car even though my car was not safe to drive. My insurance company was pretty much no help when I was dealing with this, so I am very glad Kevin helped me figure out what to do! read more

Kevin is honest, knowledgable and sometimes very "direct" in his demeanor. Maybe a bit more $ than other places (ask for a written estimate/quote cuz sometimes he won't offer it).
