Kevin is a scammer. He stole thousands of dollars from us, asked us to pay in advance for flooring materials, and then never showed up to install the floors. Kevin was referred to us by a contractor to help match our older existing floors. When he came out, he assured us he could find a match so close we'd hardly notice a difference. He showed us a single sample board that seemed like a decent match at the time. But when we came to see the installed floors, we were absolutely shocked--and heartbroken--by how off the final result was. I literally cried. We had already paid him $10,000, and he insisted the floors were the same species of wood, refusing to acknowledge how bad the match looked. He also said he wouldn't fix it unless we paid double in product costs. Every flooring expert we've shown it to has been stunned he considered this a "match." Even people who know Kevin can't believe this is his work. We feel completely defeated and out $10k. That said, the floors are being ripped out today. We're starting over with someone new who, within an hour, found three options that already look far better than what we were originally given. read more

I contacted Kevin based on a referral only to find out he's a good friend of a relative. Because of that I picked him over my contractors flooring sub to install my new flooring throughout the house. The problem that I had is the language barrier between Kevin's guys and my contractor has caused some uneven spots around the house. Contractor told the worker to level out a couple spots, worker didn't understand and didn't do it. Each blames the other and now I'm stuck with a floor that I'm not 100% happy with and will now have to pay someone else to come out to fix. There was one spot in our floor that had a bad reaction to the stain, and they took the time to re-sand and re-stain.
