I've been locked out of my car since 2:30pm calling BMW roadside assistance, BMW service centers, AAA and none of which was willing to provide immediate assistance. Locking a key in the trunk of a BMW m3 is particularly complicated since the rear seats do not fold down, the trunk button is not operative when ignition isn't on. With such complicated situation the other providers did not have the competency nor willingness to provide same-day service. They deferred me to other departments, asked for me to reach out the next day when I expressed my urgency to retrieve my keys to drive my car for an important work meeting the next morning. Great experience and extremely professional and friendly service! My daughter and I only had a single key for each of our vehicles and desperately needed some spare keys. I was a duffus and left my boyfriend's keys on the roof of my car and they flew off on the highway. They contained his only car key, so I immediately went to work trying to figure out how to replace them. Because Nissans have a chip in their keys, they generally require a visit to the dealership to rekey, but that was going to be such a pain since I couldn't drive the car there! We have a 2018 Toyota Highland Hybrid, and we had the misfortunate of one of the keys falling into the elevator shaft when the key separated from the key chain. We got a quote from a Toyota dealership then our building engineer for our condo recommended Alex, and we called him and then stayed in text/message contact. He was able to order the new key from Toyota (we have a push-button ignition) and program it to work for the car within 10 minutes. He had me test it and make sure everything was working. His van, which has also his workshop, is also small enough that we could park it next to our car. This saved me a trip to the Toyota dealer and the quoted wait time of one hours. If you need a fast and professional locksmith this is the place to call. Let me start first my saying my vehicle is a Volkswagen which has a Lazer cut key and a special sensor inside of it. The dealership quoted me $800 and i couldn't seem to find any other locksmith that dealt with Volkswagen. The sensor in my key had broken when my keys fell into the water. Not only was he fast on arrival less than 5 minutes, he was extremely professional and curtious and took the time to answer every single question i had asked with kindness and knowledge. Of the two other locksmiths I used, one I had to kick off my property because of his bad attitude but I did pay a fee to both for codes. I figured 3rd times gotta be the charm before I have my van towed to the dealer. I came across the Key Doctor and Alex had outstanding reviews. Very happy with the doctor of keys. Lost my original Jeep fob but had a back up one, it wouldn't work. I had put in a (dead) battery I later learned and it still wouldn't connect. I took it to the dealership and they said it'd be $340 to reprogram for vehicle. I said you are sure it's not something with the battery connection? They said, nope, it's standard with these keys, you need to do a reprogram. Skeptical, I called a few places and landed on Alex at the Key Doctor, he said he'd take a look. He looked at it and said it was in fact an issue with the battery and I felt vindicated. He could have taken advantage but instead he he was honest and charged a small fraction of what the dealership was insisting I pay. It works and took about 5 minutes to resolve. I needed a sparkle key for my new car and I drove up to their location and happened on him outside by his truck. I didn't realize he was mobile primarily but he was very flexible and quick to let me know that he could help me and have me his j imbed and a time. And even when there were setbacks he was willing to still work through it and meet me today. Upon meeting me at a location, he gave me options up front of type of keys (newer or older) and their prices. I was able to see the process and he was very friendly and a good conversationalist. I called Alex from Key Doctor, he was at a doctors appointment, he promised to call me back and come to cut a key I bought from Ebay. after trying for over an hour, the key did not work. so he spent time cutting his own key and made it work, I was very happy that Alex did not give up on me and left me without a spare key, now I feel more safe that I have a spare key. Lost a spare key to my 2006 Legacy when skiing (remember: allways zip the pockets where you put your keys!) and had to live for a while without a replacement as all the quotes I got from locksmiths were beyond my budget. DYI was also not an option because of the tricky immobilizer: it would involve extracting, soldering, and re-programming the ECU of the car, which is challenging and risky even for a seasoned DYI-er. Amazing service! Alex only took 30 mins to get to me and was able to code/cut a new Key Fob for my 2012 VW Golf! The Key Doctor Alex Mager is great. I had a very hard time trying to get a key cut and programed for my 2006 Dodge Magnum, dealer wanted over $400 dollars for a new key and to have programed. I would have had to get my car towed to dealer plus pay over $400 dollars. The Key doctor came to my house and discovered it was more then just cutting new key and programing.
