I trained and competed as a former powerlifter, bodybuilder and strong man competitor. At the time I would never think twice about functional fitness. Slamming balls and whipping battle ropes didn't look very hard to me. I was dead wrong! It's in fact very challenging and you will build both strength and conditioning if you do it the way Coach Ky does it. I've been training for 35 yrs and I can tell you there are very few trainers who will train with you and most likely train more intense then you can train too! Ky's very passionate about heath and fitness. Ky's also extremely motivating and his energy is contagious! At 52 I am in the best shape of my life, even more so than when I played football and wrestled in HS. I only train with Ky once a week since I started with him in May 2022. I lost 10 lbs and I was not even dieting whatsoever! If you are serious about getting into the best shape of your life and want to live as long as possible, functional fitness is a superior way to achieve that goal. My wife just started training with Ky and my two young daughters will eventually be trained by Ky as well. Also, I wear a Whoop fitness tracker and my resting HR went from high 50s to high 40s. The above review is what I wrote in Feb 2023 on Google and at the time had lost 10lbs. Currently I have lost another 10 lbs down to 192 lbs. This is the lightest I've been in over 20 yrs. The difference is when I was 32 and 192 lbs I didn't have as much muscle nor was I anywhere near ripped like I am now. I'm in better cardiovascular conditioning then when I was a wrestler in high-school at 17 yrs of age. Not only that, but I just recently hit a top speed sprint of 17.2 mph on an Assault Runner treadmill. Chris Nutter who is an avid runner witnessed my 17.2 mph sprint. I first contacted Ky through his website a couple weeks before my one month vacation in Oahu. He answered promptly and I was impressed by his knowledge and enthusiasm when talking with him. I knew he would be a very good fit for me. He asked me what my goals were and as a senior, I wanted to be functionally fit with a strong core and also have good balance. I have never trained with a trainer before so Ky started me on some conditioning workouts before my trip and checked on me after each workout, modifying them to suit my level.
