Our agent coordinated everything and what I got was a very detailed phone call before making the offer, and an even more detailed written report after offer was accepted. The written report is gold. They both were super responsible, knowledgeable, detailed, and answered all my questions. The written report was pretty thorough. They checked foundation (which I think is the most important factor) carefully for me, and identified a major issue for one of the house I was looking at, totally worth the money. Brian (and Farren) both come with very high recommendations within our company's internal home owner wiki site. Brian showed up on time, which is impressive for a Sunday morning appointment. I was also impressed with how Brian was able to combine a thorough check-up while entertaining my questions about the property at the same time. He did not mind me tagging along, in fact he welcomed it as he covered the length and breadth of the property. He was prompt but thorough. He also took the time to explain the results of his findings as he came across them and show me the workings of the various devices that he was checking. Farren came on time and actually made some special arrangements as the home builder was not quite ready for an inspection and he did as much as he could to ensure all items he could check were good. He also took the time to explain items, what additional items to look into, and anything else I was worried about. I enjoyed chatting with him as well, very sincere and personable. With that, I highly recommend getting an inspection for a new home/construction. Everyone in my neighborhood that did not opt for one regretted the choice. I'm a first-time home buyer and I think these guys are great. Farren came to my place, spent literally 4.5 hours looking at everything. He pointed out things that I would never imagine I would have trouble. Pacific Northwest homes are quite different from the ones you find in the East Coast and in other countries. They are made of wood, the roofs are made of shingle for the most part. And that is just to begin the conversation. Anyway, not only Farren gave a full report, he also was very responsive to my questions later on. He is not my first inspector as I did some pre-inspections in other homes (which I ended up not buying). I can tell you he is unbiased. Some inspectors lean more towards the buyer's interest, some lean more towards the seller's interests. I think he is pretty neutral. So, technically good, pretty responsive and impartial. What else do you need? I think they charged me $470 for a small house and that is kind of expensive. It's ok, they are one of the best in the region, so it's worth it. The only thing that would make them better is if they could provide good estimates on how much the repairs ($) cost. Overall, great service and I would recommend them to a friend.
