Terrible and similar experiences to what others posted here. Was charged to replace a prop on a brand new boat. The woman who checked me out said sand damaged the prop but it never touched any sand. Dishonest company and they don't return calls. I already got my money back on this from my credit card company but these ppl are crooks. This place rents defective boats! We had a horrible experience not 1 time but 2!!! And they did not refund me any money! The first time the boat started sinking, because they had a pump that did not work and the they were going to fix it, I was like no give us a new boat. Well they give us a new boat and guess what...300 miles out it does not turn back on for hours!!!!!!! We had 2 kids with us UNBELIEVABLE. The radio to call coast guard did not work.....thank God my husband was able to get it started hours later! We rented a boat for 3 DAYS AND WE USED 1 DAY which was nothing but trouble and DANGEROUS! THEY REFUSED TO GIVE OUR MONEY BACK AND WE DID NOT GET TO ENJOY THE 2 EXTRA DAYS, we will never rent here again. read more

Could not be happier with Key Largo Watersports!! Ryan was amazing! The boat we rented (23' Seahunter center console) was immaculate, and only a year old, and at a terrific price. I was quite surprised as many other boats we have rented on other trips were older and beat up, this boat was great! They made rental super easy, the communication was on point, they were available for any questions we had via text or call. Ryan gave us some great spots to go find some fish and he was dead on. We are looking forward to heading down this way again soon and will definitely be renting from them again. read more

I would not do business with these people, rented a boat and got stranded for hours on the water. No outside damage to motor or prop at all but lower unit failed in 7 ft of water and they said it's my fault. They automatically charged card to pay for a mechanical breakdown then said it was my fault... apparently all breakdowns are customers fault even something internal. Nick and his entire team were Honest and made our rental the Best experience ever. We ended up keeping our 21 foot Cobia with 150 hp Yamaha 4 stroke for 5 weeks!!! Wish we could have had a better deal but his prices are great and he didn't gauge us during mini lobster season. Nick dropped off and picked personally with a crew no less to make sure Boat was ready for the next lucky family. I would recommend key largo watersports for boat rentals without hesitation. The boat we got barely worked... the motor barely lifted, couldn't stay in low idle or rpm because it would seize & turn off. We had an awesome experience with this company. We had an issue where we had to rent a boat at the last minute. It was a holiday weekend. Rather than booking online, the lady called me and helped me. The next day we went and Ryan was extremely helpful since I didn't realize there was a link for the contract on the email. No stress - he waited for me to fill it out. AVOID this "company" at all costs!!! I rented a boat to bring our relatives children out for a day on the water. We were told to arrive early at the dock to fill out paperwork for the boat. The employee to meet us (Donnie) showed up 30 minutes late, WITHOUT A BOAT. We were told to wait while he located their boat. WE WAITED 4 HOURS, to finally learn the boat we rented would not be available to us. The only explanation was that it was broken and they didn't have another boat. Donnie was very unprofessional, being very confrontational (in front of the kids), and hanging up on us when asking reasonable questions about where he and the boat was. He didn't offer any solutions other than offering to give us breakfast from the dock that had been sitting out for hours (we already ate). The other workers at the marina, not affiliated with Key Largo Watersports, apologized to us in behalf of them. They told us "Key Largo Water Sports strikes again" and that "they hated having them operate out of their Marina" given this repetitively happening to customers. I lost money due to live bait I had purchased that we no longer could use and our out of state family members lost a day a day on the water we had been planning for a long time. On top of that I had to call repeatedly to get my deposit back - this took 2 weeks! NO APOLOGIES EVER FROM KEY LARGO WATERSPORTS.It overall left a very bad taste in my mouth that a company could stay open providing horrible service like this. Do yourself a favor and save yourself a head/heart ache and USE ANOTHER COMPANY. I would give 0\5 stars if yelp allowed it. read more
